Watched Survivor, GA, and Shark. All three were great! I just need a way for the girls to go to bed as SOON as Survivor is over. I has to miss the first part of GA because of the, um, well, half naked lady! I think Survivor is listening to me. Hoefully they will mix up the tribes again fairly soon. Need to keep alliances to a minimum!

It looks like the moms who are taking over the GS troop are doing good. DDs still want to be in, but it was nice being able to talk with the other moms instead of only with the girls. I had to smile with all the things they have planned. It is nice when you first get into it. But they are lucky since they have each other. My assistant leader was never really much help. Looks like it will be a fun year, eapecially since I don't have to plan it! Just a few more loose ends and I will be free!

DD is still a bit croupy and I felt her glands this evening and they are swollen. Looks like we will be going to the doctors after all. She hardly coughs, but it sounds terrible when she does. And she sure has her dad wrapped around her little finger when it comes to bed time. I think he needs to go away for a few weeks so I can get her back on track!

yes it was down for about 2 hours or so, probably while you were watching GA! I think it was around 8-10pm central time.

Maybe Lisa can give us the scoop as to what happened... I hope it wasn't a hacker!

Croup scares me.... it seems like anytime Jackson is congested, he will have that awful croup cough in the middle of the night. Never during the day when it would more convenient! Once he was about 12 months old and I put him to bed around 8pm and he seemed totally fine. At 11 pm or so there was this awful inhuman cough noise on the monitor. I rushed him into the bathroom to run the shower for some steam. I called the nurse on call and while I was talking she heard the cough. She said take him outside (it was about 0 degrees, the cold helps apparently) and have your husband call 911. 5 minutes later a team of EMTs is tracking snow and mud on my brand new carpet and giving Jackson oxygen, 15 minutes later we're in the ambulance on the way to the E/R. What a fun night that was! Fortunately he was fine. He is almost 5 now and continues to have the same cough occasionally but never quite that bad. I have spent several nights sitting up all night in his room watching him sleep to make sure he is still breathing! I thought they were supposed to outgrow it by 4 or 5, but so far no luck.

Anyway, hope everyone in your household is sleeping peacefully and that your dd gets well very quickly!

Ok this was in my e-mail this morning, when it first opened I thought it was spam, lol.

OK everybody, I know you all like GA, but turning off the DIS so you
can all watch it is going a bit too far!

What am I supposed to do without the DIS?

Seriously though, you all probably haven't noticed, but the DIS is
down right now, just about the same time you are all watching GA.

I must have crashed it all on my own - because I was the only one
posting.

Oh my! Still down. What on earth did all of you do with your evening? Did you actually spend time with your families instead of with your cult friends? I feel very alone out here on the west coast when you all are now probably still sleeping. Guess I will have to go hold hands with DrHug and watch TV. We did get to watch the last half of the Auburn/South Carolina game. Exciting!!

Wow - I went a little nuts without the DIS last night.....John was actually home in time for the second half of GA and when McSteamy came out of the shower - he said "aren't you lucky you see that every day dear?" LOL!

Ok, we have to find a counselor to come with us on the cruise. Some of us are going to have real problems without the DIS.

I wonder how many messages the in-room phones can hold and can you leave messages for multiple rooms at the same time???
