Just remember what is done in Vegas.....oh I mean the Cruise... Go for it about my DH. Bewarned - shy/reserved at first but if you ever get him comfortable...but only if you promise to not discuss bringing your MIL on your trip. Been there, done that, tried that and won't offer again.

Ok, I guess it is time for my "bad mom" confession...

DD3 has preschool from 9 - 11:30 on T/W/Th. She was very excited today because they were going to paint. When I got home from dropping her off, DH got into a political discussion, which never go very well around here. :rotfl: I also chatted with my sister for a bit as I tried yet again to convince her to come with us on DCL instead of RCCL. :confused3
Anyhow, DH left for work around 10:30 so I jumped in here to catch up a bit. Tuesday is a busy day so I didn't want to get to far behind. :teeth: I figured I would play some online Sudako before jumping into DD's room, laundry, ballet shoes and the like. Well, then the phone rang. Didn't know who the number was. :confused3 It was DD's teacher. "Who is picking Dina up today?" :scared1: It was 11:45!!! I FORGOT MY BABY!!! I called Dh real quick to see if he could get there first, but he was short staffed today. I got there just befoe 12 to find Dina playinging away with puzzles. Now the one teacher I know very well and joked with her about the "third" child thing, but the other teacher I just met this year so I was very  .

I KNOW this totally qualifies me for the bad mom of the year award. :sad2:
:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: You seriously need to read Erma Bombeck's books if you think this makes you a bad mom! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Kim - my midlife crisis is coming too - I feel after 6 years of twins and 7 years trying to get pregnant - I have kind of hit the wall. I am ready to kick into fun mode again.
LOL. But what woman has the time for a crisis.

there's always a new car to buy or a pirate outfit to put together. ;)

I forgot to tell you last time that I love Erma Bombeck! She is so funny! Trying to be perfect stinks. You always fail.

Carla, Hi!

I was at bowling tonight. We won all 7 points. I bowled my average and pulled a muscle in my calf, because when it started to cramp I kept bowling. And the cramp was because I failed to take my thyroid medicine this weekend, opps!

Gotta go. I have a telephone interview scheduled for tomorrow morning and I haven't looked at the candidates info in a few days. Night

Congrats Pj but yikes!

Kim--on cars:
We tend to keep cars for quite a while. My last car, a Jeep Cherokee, was about 8 years and 125,000 miles. got quite frustrated with that vehicle (replaced transmission, transfer case, tires many times, brakes many times, etc) so that seemed even longer than 8 years!
DH's Toyota Celica was 9 years old and I'm not sure how many miles, but quite a few. Really only decided to replace it because it was 2-door and he could never offer to drive a few guys to a lunch meeting or to golf or whatever (kids crawling into the back seat is one thing; grown men in suits is another!)
My Toyota minivan is "only" 5 years old and about 60,000 miles and I don't thing I'll be replacing it anytime soon. (I do need to get the major dent in the back repaired--but it's hard to give up the mom-mobile for a few weeks to have the repair completed!)

I just heard that about Abby. :cheer2: I have to wonder why her mother let anyone into their house??? :confused3 You just can't do that anymore!
We are all just taught to be kind and helpful. A female in trouble at your front door asking to please just use the phone. Not many of us would think that a danger, but you are right we just can't take that chance anymore. :sad2:

And I can attest to that! We got to ride in it too! :thumbsup2
I always want to select one from the Emerald Aisle. Our friends have one however I've never driven one. We also need a new car. When you can only drive a car locally I'd say it is time to finally just give it up. We were looking at the new Rav4 (v6) but the 07 is going to have standard side curtain airbags as they should have originally and the 07 Honda CRV comes out at the end of the month. We'll see. Watch I won't like either.

I have a 12 year old Honda Civic and it has just over 150,000 on it. I will be replacing it next year or the year after. Hard winters, hot summers, lots of road salt. It has been really great, just this past year, had to replace a radiator, brakes once since 2001, and two tires.

Lisa, hon, I don't know if you can buy a big enough clipboard for everything you are doing.... Maybe a briefcase?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Where's Becka? I need a smiley dragging a huge suitcase behind them. ;)

I have no dress for any night, no pirate attire, no transport plans yet to Cape Canaveral. I am consumed by work.

This has been a P.S.A on how not to plan for your cruise.

I am right there with you... well, except for the transport part -- finally got that down.

My company was sold and is in the middle of a merger -- my boss is the appointed head of the transition team and we have to do this while still doing our regular 40 hr/wk jobs! It's been nuts and the expected close date is mid December -- however, I don't intend to give a *** while I'm gone on vacation :)
