Just remember what is done in Vegas.....oh I mean the Cruise... Go for it about my DH. Bewarned - shy/reserved at first but if you ever get him comfortable...but only if you promise to not discuss bringing your MIL on your trip. Been there, done that, tried that and won't offer again.

Hun....if you cruise with a DISer whatever happens on the cruise will wind up being posted on the board! :cool1:

So Angie and Patsy. How come the P.T. is so cool? I have never been in one.
Well, Patsy's was cool because it was Patsy's and we got to ride with her! :smokin:

Lisa did this post change or do I need to go to bed?

OY! I forgot about that one! LOL! I am trying to catch up from a quick check on the main board.

I have a 12 year old Honda Civic and it has just over 150,000 on it. I will be replacing it next year or the year after. Hard winters, hot summers, lots of road salt. It has been really great, just this past year, had to replace a radiator, brakes once since 2001, and two tires.

There you go again Pj, my first car was a Honda Civic (I'm a Hondagirl) and its name was Sam. It served me well until I had to leave it behind when I moved to NYC. I came back to a SaturnSL2 which is the 11 year old "can't take it on the highway"other car. The 3 yr old car is a Honda Accord.

Try FAMILYFUN20 20% off . IDK the expiration date or limits for this one. There is free shipping on 75 or more.

that is what bridesmaids are for - keeping the bride smiling!!!!

When I arrived at our weekend wedding site I found that they had set up tables for 6 when they had told me 8 - so the whole guest list needed to be reconfigured. I just threw my hands up and said it would have to be open seating. Hubby and one of my girlfriends had to re-do it because I was just too fried.

You really do need a few things to look back on and laugh at.

My mom decides at 7 am the morning of my wedding that she didn't like the way the tables were laid out in the reception area -- bad fung shui or whatever -- she said it looked like it "favored" DH's family and they would have none of that -- so my best friend/maid of honor and I are scooting around tables and chairs 4 hours before my wedding....

My family has, since then, grown to love my DH, but back then, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have been heartbroken if the wedding didn't happen.

Carla, I am looking at the Honda Fit, I am alone in the car 80% of the time. My first car was a bright blue 1980 Honda Civic that had the ignition on the dash and you HAD to shift in the automatic, lol.

My present car is bright red, it was my inheritance from DGP, and is dressed in Tinkerbell, perviously in Poohbear accessories.

I always want to select one from the Emerald Aisle. Our friends have one however I've never driven one. We also need a new car. When you can only drive a car locally I'd say it is time to finally just give it up. We were looking at the new Rav4 (v6) but the 07 is going to have standard side curtain airbags as they should have originally and the 07 Honda CRV comes out at the end of the month. We'll see. Watch I won't like either.
We were looking at the new Saturn Skye. Wowza! DrHug and I thought we would look really spiffy in that little car. Nice lines! It would not hold any grandkids though. Just the two of us!

One of the other silly little things that happened at my wedding is that the cake was never delivered.

Somehow I always have a sixth sense about the big things and I asked hubby to check about the cake and he starts in with "don't worry of course it's here". NADA!!!

they had to send someone out in the pouring rain to get the wedding cake.

lucky for us, the ceremony is only a few minutes and you get married despite all the other screw ups.

LOL.

My company was sold and is in the middle of a merger -- my boss is the appointed head of the transition team and we have to do this while still doing our regular 40 hr/wk jobs! It's been nuts and the expected close date is mid December -- however, I don't intend to give a *** while I'm gone on vacation :)
Ugh, mergers - been there gone through that many times. Don'tyou love the "behave as nothing has changedapproach" Sending :grouphug: on the timing and planning with your trip.

DH wants an SUV and I LOVE MY ACURA so we are looking at the Acura MDX. It is 4 WD and has the side curtain airbags. Safer for DD always trumps everything.

Mergers are the worst! I am so sorry!!!! Hate them.
