Today I feel like the most horrible mother. This morning DD and I had a meltdown over her clothes. She did not like the ones I picked and when I tried to talk to her, it was obvious that the Dragon Tales are way more interesting than I am didn't even hear me talking, so when I brought up the 2nd outfit, I got attitude. We usually do this at night, but because DH is gone, I let her sucker me into watching the wild. Well, lets just say I did not act my age. I told DD it wasn't a 6 year old and mommy fight, it was 2 6 year olds. I threw her clothes on the floor and got all sarcastic with attitude. That works so well! Neither one of us slept well last night and both went to bed WAY to late. But, she has an excuse. I feel like such a dork. Who acts like that. How old am I! I feel ashamed...
Sounds to me like you are a Mom! Stuff happens, don't beat yourself up. :grouphug:

Back to work, 4 more hours. But we have PotC playing on the 30" Apple display and Nemo for the second half of the double bill. We have to show off the product and now that Disney and Apple are in bed together I can bring in my movies, woo hoo.

1. get to DIS on lunch
2. Get to show Disney movies on the sales floor
3. DM loves all things Disney more than me
4. Have a DN and Dnephew who call me aunt payjay.

I don't know what is wrong with me. I can't get date or times right this week! Here I was, enjoying a few minutes before I had to go to piano at 4:30. WRONG!! It was 3:30 for DD8 and 4:00 for DD12!! :faint:

Umm. This 41-year-old mom has acted like a 2-year-old by screaming over all 3 kids instead of communicating in a reasonable manner.

What a crazy day. I still don’t have a fix to our production problem but we went ahead and backed out all of the changes. I don’t feel personally too bad because I know that I did what I needed to do as far as testing, etc.. It is a system thing that is not happening in test. No one seems to know why this is happening or how to fix it. Somedays I just LOVE my job.

On top of all of that DH talks to his Mom today and my MIL is talking about going on a cruise! This is a woman who thought we were insane for traveling at all especially with the kids because it was so dangerous. She really freaked out about the cruise because she was convinced we would all just fall off the boat. Now she is talking about going on one herself???? :confused3 She wants us to explain how to book one, etc.. She says she wants to take one next year and she is actually considering Disney because they don’t have casinos and she thinks there will be far less drinking/smoking and the entertainment will be PG. I think she is under the impression that we are booking one for next year and she wants to go with us. I told DH he had better tell her that the next time we book DCL it will probably be for late 2008. I am wondering if she is just going to decide to come with us on this cruise instead!!!

Now one part of me says we would have extra help with the kids and that could be good but the other half of me says to run like you-know-where. I cannot imagine having her around most of the time. She would want to eat together, see the shows together, sit at the pool together, etc.. and I have other plans. ;) I really want to hang out with you guys and I can’t possibly imagine explaining to her that I have plans with strange people I met on the Internet! :lmao: I also plan to have a good time and act a little crazy and I can’t imagine her reaction to that. I think that just might do her in. She already suspects I am the worst Mom on Earth and this will just confirm it for her!
Maybe she will book for NEXT year. I woudn't tell her you are going in 2008 if you don't want to cruise with her. Does she know the date of this cruise, or just Dec? Hmmmm. Be really bad and keep forgetting to get the booking info for her until Dec 17. :teeth:

Kim - that story scares me. When we moved into our house, our real estate agent recommend we apply for part of the Dryvit (guess it is similar to Stucco) lawsuit. Basically, we had to get some things repaired...MAJOR HEADACHE...in order to get this very weak warranty that our Stucco would be covered in case of any mold problems in the future. Apparently when our house was built, the Dryvit company didn't tell people how to install it and many people were having problems. We've had it inspected and repaired but ya just never know.

I think we're okay...but sometimes we having oozing green stuff that comes out of our molding....just kidding!!!

With the pain that we went thru to get it inspected and fixed, I can't imagine actually finding mold. Ugh!!!

Dryvit is the manufacturer of Stucco. They are acutally involved in a class action lawsuit about all the mold caused by stucco. They usually win because they blame installation and not the product. I will post pictures of what the mold looks like tonight. It is black... Dryvit also changed thier drainage system in about 1998-99 to make it better, but before then, no drainage. Watch it carefully for any bubbles or pockets where it does not seem to be attached. Also, look along your roofline for any areas water comes down the house to make sure it is not going directly into your dryvit..

Okay - gotta go...we're having filets, baked potatoes and brocoli tonight. Family favorite.

Ya know - maybe that bed we ordered was really a water bed! Get it...rain...bed...water bed...okay, my brain hurts...I'm calling it a day.

Have fun y'all!

I was just reading your bed story and had to share my shipping horror.

DD wears 2 hearing aides because of profound/severe hearing loss. She does not wear them much during summer. A month before school starts, 10th grade, she checks them out and they don't work. I called the audiologist office and they can't get her in for 2 weeks. OW, that should still be time to get them back for the 1st day, also her birthday. Well the first day turned into the first week and the second week. I called everyday after 10 days figuring they should be in at anytime. They finally told me they were shipped the week before labor day. I called during labor day week and they still had not received them. Finally the audiologist called and the hearing aides were lost by the shipping company. Because of the cost of the aides, $5k, we would need to wait for 30 days to file a claim then the claim could take 6 to 8 weeks. DD was heart broken. She hates the hearing aides but really has noticed how much she needs them as had her teachers. I cried, screamed, complained, and cried some more to the audiologist.

Tuesday I got a call from the audiologist. She told me that our hearing aides were in. Not the ones that were lost--a brand new pair. She had called the main office and told them our story and they agreed to waive the waiting period. They now have to go after DHL to get these paid for. I was so happy. DD cried again and we got them yesterday.

I could not believe that they were going to make us wait that long but we were stuck. Our medical insurance will only cover up to $1K for each device every 3 years and these were only 1.5 years old. I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to pay for these because each time they want to know why DD has the hearing loss. If I knew that, I would be better than the drs.

That is just horrible! I just have to say I think that is atrocious. To make a child with that kind of disability wait at all is well, I am just so angry I can't say it out loud. And insurance, don't get me started. Seriously, I think you are just buying hearing aids as christmas decorations. GOOD GRIEF!! I really get frustrated with the insurance company!!!!!! You go girl, you get them, tell them what for!

I've tried everything...I got the feeds fine on real. I tried both real and media, reinstalled media, tried in Netscape and IE, I even tried sending it to myself, but the send button doesn't show on the screen! I've also tried turning off all blockers and such. Becka!!! Do you have a smiley pulling out its hair?????

so the stucco people could tell just by looking at it? Did they tell you what they suspected or just run off and not talk to you? How scary that must have been! Thank goodness you dealt with it right away.

They just ran off and never told us a thing. We just thought they were lazy.
