Ah, how cool would Mickey shaped hamburger buns be?? The patties sound cool too but they'd get lost in the bun. But I suppose the cookie cutter idea works with the bun as well. What a neat idea.

Also would be cute to use a cookie cutter for kids sandwiches in their lunch box. Maybe I'll start doing that as the cruise approaches to get the kids even more excited about the trip.

I don't know what is wrong with me. I can't get date or times right this week! Here I was, enjoying a few minutes before I had to go to piano at 4:30. WRONG!! It was 3:30 for DD8 and 4:00 for DD12!!

oh this totally sounds like me!! did you get there in time?

Tuesday I got a call from the audiologist. She told me that our hearing aides were in. Not the ones that were lost--a brand new pair. She had called the main office and told them our story and they agreed to waive the waiting period. They now have to go after DHL to get these paid for. I was so happy. DD cried again and we got them yesterday.

I could not believe that they were going to make us wait that long but we were stuck. Our medical insurance will only cover up to $1K for each device every 3 years and these were only 1.5 years old. I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to pay for these because each time they want to know why DD has the hearing loss. If I knew that, I would be better than the drs.

Thank goodness your audiologist went to bat for you. What a frustrating situation!! So glad it worked out. Which shipping company lost them?

What a crazy day. I still don’t have a fix to our production problem but we went ahead and backed out all of the changes. I don’t feel personally too bad because I know that I did what I needed to do as far as testing, etc.. It is a system thing that is not happening in test. No one seems to know why this is happening or how to fix it. Somedays I just LOVE my job.

On top of all of that DH talks to his Mom today and my MIL is talking about going on a cruise! This is a woman who thought we were insane for traveling at all especially with the kids because it was so dangerous. She really freaked out about the cruise because she was convinced we would all just fall off the boat. Now she is talking about going on one herself???? She wants us to explain how to book one, etc.. She says she wants to take one next year and she is actually considering Disney because they don’t have casinos and she thinks there will be far less drinking/smoking and the entertainment will be PG. I think she is under the impression that we are booking one for next year and she wants to go with us. I told DH he had better tell her that the next time we book DCL it will probably be for late 2008. I am wondering if she is just going to decide to come with us on this cruise instead!!!

Now one part of me says we would have extra help with the kids and that could be good but the other half of me says to run like you-know-where. I cannot imagine having her around most of the time. She would want to eat together, see the shows together, sit at the pool together, etc.. and I have other plans. I really want to hang out with you guys and I can’t possibly imagine explaining to her that I have plans with strange people I met on the Internet! I also plan to have a good time and act a little crazy and I can’t imagine her reaction to that. I think that just might do her in. She already suspects I am the worst Mom on Earth and this will just confirm it for her!

I will hurry & get the dining confirmed and we all know that can't be changed after that. She would have to WL for early dining & who knows who she will end up sitting with.

I do pick ups from the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls. You get them there, I will keep em for 48 hours then you have to come back and get them.

I have a question about the new ipod, apple, disney thingy. What in the heck does this mean?

Keep in mind that I don't own an Ipod so I'm a little behind here.

1. Does this just mean people are going to start watching movies on the bus, train, and in the coffee shop on little 2" screens?

or

2. Does this mean DVD is going to be dead like VHS is dead and I'm going to have to rewire the home video system again?

Help me! I'm just a simple gal from Atlanta.

Good luck with the wedding, Brandi! This is good timing. I bet that DD will be going to sleep better when you get back. I know it is hard to do. We actually were not able to do that with DS because of a medical condition. The doctor told us that we had to put him to sleep on his tummy so that he would breathe better. Imagine reading everything about that being bad & then being told to do it. At first I put him on me in bed & had pillows on either side of me to keep my arms around him. He would squeak like a rusty gate when he slept. When we watch video of him now I am reminded how bad it was. We got use to it. I would close his door & ours so that it wouldn't keep me awake at night. Of course if the squeaking stopped, I would wake up terrified. He outgrew it around 2 years and we had to get use to the silence.

We are terrible parents! Both our kkids slept better on their tummy so we that is how we let them sleep. I know all the studies and horror stories but if we were ever going to get any rest then tummy it was!

1. Apple music store iTunes, now sell Disney branded (miramax, touchstone, etc) movies to download to your home computer and/or ipod. Yes, I watch video podcast (mini shows) on my ipod all the time, mostly disneyland and WDW ones, some scrapbooking as well. Movies on the 2" screen, maybe. I would because they are sharp enough, but would not watch a new movie, only ones I have seen before.

2. DVD is coming to and end, but not because of movie downloads. There will be a new disc format coming soon and some movies are already out in Blue-ray, this is a HD format (good for really big t.v.'s and has lot of detail.) If you do the Apple iTunes movies, next year you can get a wireless reciever to play the movies on your home T.V. no wiring needed! Well, except for the small box to the back of the cable box or t.v. and the small box has lots of choice what wires to use, you will be good.
