BRACK !!!!

I wish I had a nice wife like that. Does that mean you won't be a Rebel anymore? Annette will then be a Rebel. Will she also be a 'cult' member?
The Rebel is an awesome camera. The 5D is spectacular. LOL. So, what are we all gonna do with our obsolete EOS-1 models????

My EOS1 makes a great door stop!

No one wants to give me anything close to a reasonable price for it so I guess I'll just keep it. Who knows film may come back into vogue. :thumbsup2

I really want to get the EOS 1d; the new model but it is VERY EXPENSIVE! :cool1: . If I save really well maybe .......

When I was in Viet Nam I couldn't tell anyone what I was doing because I didn't know myself.

Brack, DW said you hurt your back. My back is always bothering me too. Do you think maybe it's time for the small bags?

I need to stop carrying things that are too heavy so maybe smaller bags are the way to go but then that "envy" thing kicks in ..... :guilty:

Angie works wonders with her apples.

Did I tell ya that I really like the Canon 5D? Did I? Well, I REALLY REALLY REALLY like the Canon 5D digital SLR camera. Our little, old, PowerShot S20 is okay when you need a small bag, but I need more pixels. heh heh. Besides, it is old now. I can't believe that it was almost 700 bucks when DW bought it for me, Gadget Man. So, I don't think a 5D would be out of the question. Inflation you know. Ang could have my EOS-1 AND my 10D.

Ignoring the first line ....

DrHug just tell Angie that it will make you more manly to have all those pixels! At our age everything helps.

Hello there, everyone. Sorry that I dropped out of sight. It's not been a good weekend. I feel like I have hit the wall but am coming out of it. I'm not going to try to catch up tonight...will be taking something to help me go to sleep in a bit. This one lasted a long time. I was a little afraid to open the thread thinking that you would be 50 pages past Friday night. :)

Caroline..during my catch-up reading I did notice that you were on a posting frenzy Saturday!!!! We all must do our part to be the #1 thread!!!! :rotfl:

For those of you that are watching Football on TV, look for John. Also check out the stadium. That is the stadium that the high school where John and I went play all their games. Some games are sold out and it looks just like it does tonight! We love out Football.

So it seems like the Rebel would be a good choice? Are cameras generally cheaper around Christmas??

The time of year doesn't seem to make a difference but it appears to be more like computers ... as the model gets older (measure in months) the price goes down. The regular Digital Rebel is now around $500 but was almost $1,000 when I bought it. There are deals out there.

:wave2:

Only about 500 posts or so - not bad. I think I might actually be able to catch up. We will see.

We had a good visit with my friend but the trip there and back was just crazy! I am glad to be home however now my DH seems to be coming down with some kind of stomach thing. :sad2: Hopefully he will keep it to himself.

I came back onto this thread and now I am depressed. I am so sad. I missed like a day and a half and in that time I missed getting my AP's for about $20 a ticket cheaper. I know it really isn't a huge deal but it bums me out! If I had know I would have bought them on Saturday night. Since I was away and unaware of the increase...I missed it!!!! :sad2: :guilty:

Brack - I would love to drive straight through, but last time it was me and the 3 DDs and DH kept calling to see if we stopped yet. By 11 pm I told a little fib  and said we were coming to a hotel, but I kept driving til 1 am. The girls were sound asleep and I still had a few hours in me.
We drove straight through on Christmas Day 2004. It was crazy! We left at about 3 in the after noon and got there the next morning. At that time it was just Me, DH, and DS. We got there and DS was ready for action...he slept all night. My DH and I were so exausted!!! We are flying for the cruise..but we might drive again...who know.

Hi all...
So was thinking about the whole trip thing again. Would anyone have any ideas as to what I can bring for the Dis goodies... that I can bring for everyone. I looked at the list on the site and you are all sooo creative!

let me know what you think?

Elizabeth

I'm working on keychains for the adults with the lime green cruise logo. :thumbsup2

Sorry! Duh! I have been on this trip before. You take several planes, the last being a float plane and land on the water in the ocean bay where there is a floating lodge. DH and I did not think this was the best trip for DD because she is still awfully young and I would never sleep knowing she could just wander off and acidentally fall of the lodge. BUT, I will need you all this week. There is no phone service and no internet, so I won't know if anyone killed anyone else until next Friday...

Kim
Oh my goodness! I can see why you are concerned!!!! I would be very worried!!!! I am sure the will be fine. Now you can have mommy and daughter time!!!!
