Please check your emails everyone! :)

Thanks, Marielle....it will get better. Only three more weeks to go until the kids are in school and I can try out a couple options to help. :)

How about Christmas in the Carribean by Jimmy Buffett?

Kim

Anything by Jimmy is great. How about "Christmas on Christmas Island?

Oh birth stories....mine were all fast and easy with 3 big (8 lb or more) healthy babies. With my second I spoke to my neighbor in the laundy room of the apartments where we lived at 5 pm and when Dennis called her a few minutes after 6 pm to tell her we had another little girl she accused him of pulling her leg because "she had just seen me in the laundry room!" :lmao: First indication I was in labor was when my water broke at 5:05 (no pains yet) and she was born (barely made it to the hospital) at 5:55. The other two gave me a bit more warning with some mild back labor for a couple of hours.

DrHug was not able to be in the delivery room with our first because she was born WAY BACK when Daddies waited in the waiting room, smoked, drank coffee and ate soup while Mommies did all the work alone. :rotfl: With our second there was not time for him to get to the delivery room before she was born. He was still filling out the paperwork when she was born. With our third he was in the delivery room and his glasses got really, really fogged up when his new son grabbed his little finger. AAAAHHHH!

I can't imagine not having DH in the room when I had the kids. It was such a scary confusing time for me and DH was my rock even though I know he was completely freaked out. I think I love him more because he really stepped up to the plate. Besides if he gets to be there for all the fun (I am really fighting an urge to put a dancing banana here but I will resist) then he should have to be there for the hard work. ;)

What's your idea of the perfect summer night?

Sitting out back playing cards with good friends, drinking frozen mudslides, and watching the kids play and catch fireflies.

You all are so brave to drive everywhere! Last time we were in Florida we spent an 1 1/2 trying to get on the pay highway to homestead and ended up in a horrible crying fight as we drove down 95 for 4 1/2 hours. The way back took 1 1/2. I am usually a very good navigator, but I had not done any research and should have. I have decided I am just at the point, that if I am on vacation, I want someone else to do my cleaning, cooking, driving, navigating, and laundry. Vacations do not last very long anyway and I am tired of being stressed out...

So I say. You are all better people than I am and very brave.

Kim

We drove straight thru from Missouri in February to WDW and it took us 22 hours with a 3 year old and a 12 month old. I think we should qualify for sainthood. It actually did not go too badly and we are driving again this December unless we get some really, really, really good airfare and I don't see that happening. Of course after our trip this weekend I may have to reconsider....this trip could be worse! :earseek:

Hello there, everyone. Sorry that I dropped out of sight. It's not been a good weekend. I feel like I have hit the wall but am coming out of it. I'm not going to try to catch up tonight...will be taking something to help me go to sleep in a bit. This one lasted a long time. I was a little afraid to open the thread thinking that you would be 50 pages past Friday night. :)
OH Lisa, I hope you are ok

Kim

I have not come up with items to share either. :sad2: Will keep looking though and something will catch my fancy. :thumbsup2

Yes, but things were different "way back then" and were just begining to change when we had our kids. Think I Love Lucy. Everyone waits and mom goes off and does her thing. :teeth: I really did like having him there with our third.

Can anyone post a link that shows when/what cruise ships are arriving at a specific port?

I saw this posted on another thread but can't find it.

Interested in knowing how many cruise ships will be in port at Coz on the day we arrive and what time they'll be there at.

TIA.
