I used the lenses from my EOS1 with my Rebel. My DW wants my Rebel and has said that I can get the 5D or EOS 1D.

Sounds like a fun excuse to upgrade!!

Oh, and I do try to remind myself that pulling DS (age 1 at the time) out from under the water was more important than the camera...

I absolutely agree but it would still drive me and I'd be kicking myself for a long time. You did the right thing.

Kim I was at Michael's last night and saw PINK duct tape! I didn't sniff it though.

Have you seen the lady that make purses and skirts our of duct tape, she likes to use the pink stuff, lol.

But are some of the older EOS lenses not compatible with the digital?

They're compatible but there is a "digital" size difference because the sensor is not the size of a frame of 35mm film. Not a real problem though.

I still have my Canon A70, but I have been lusting after S3 Si, really wanted the S2 si, but no one has any in stock up here. And the changes for the S3 Si really don't warrant the price difference, but if it is the only one avaliable, then....

I haven't seen that but I am not surprised at what some"crafty" people do. There were more than pink tape there as well. A whole rainbow of duct tape.

I was looking at the S3 Si, too. Thought Amazon was still selling the S2, but that's probably one of those "not to Canada" problems.

I like it lot. The only reason to trade up is for more features and pixels.
