Math and Physics :lmao: It sounds like the tv show called NUMBERS. I think it would be cool for awhile. :happytv:

It is cool when you are in school and when you watch shows and movies because you can always get the real version of things... But after 10 hours in a boat.... Dad has gotten a lot better, mom is a good influence, and now he has a really good sense of humor and other interests, but my Uncle is one intense dude... And seriously, he cannot tell us what he does....

It's a beautiful summer night here. Really cooled off. A nice break from the heat.

Got the laptop out on the patio and a nice backyard fire roaring 10 ft away. A beer nearby, the stars and moon in full view and music from the deck. This is what summer's all about. :goodvibes

What's your idea of the perfect summer night?

kevin, thanks!

headed out on the balcony and it is a really nice night out!

In our elementary school it has always been very easy taking out the kids. Heck, DD12 has been out for 3 week stints before when we would go to Egypt! No questions, no frowns, no forms. Now she is in Jr High and I am not sure of the policy there. Can you tell I am worried about it?? :rotfl: She does great! The only reason she will miss school now is for a Disney Cruise! :goodvibes Since we live in a resort town, the schools know that MANY families take vacation when it fits their schedules. Since most businesses runs almost year round now, we go all the way through, there isn't much they can say.

Hey Kim - well, I'm not very creative! but I was wanting to use it on my door sign since it was the year '2006' and mickey's head all in one

Cool thought! Can I poach your idea? I thought maybe a pillow case or shirt... can't do those, but I can do the sign thing! You can tell me no way if you want.

Wow, that seems pretty rough! Is that pretty much standard in PA? And was it your husband who knew the dr on Mystery Medicine. Cool show! (although I could do without the side show aspect)

Yeah, he was watching and saying, hey, that looks like Dr. Whoever it was... Hey, it is Dr. Whoever! And he knows someone who had the same affliction after a head injury.

And I don't know if it is standard about trips in PA. Here, every school district can make a lot of their own policies (start and end dates of school vary from place to place; cutoff for starting kindergarten is different)

You've got the idea Kevin! :thumbsup2 Some of my best summer nights were sitting outside with friends while the kids were roasting marshmallows.

That's what I'm talking about! :woohoo:

I guess I like the simple things in life. :smooth:

I have a friend who was in Viet Nam with CIA and often says that he can tell what he did ... but then he'd have to kill us! :rotfl2:

I spent too much time this beautiful summer day reading digital camera reviews. Debating what to get in the next couple of months so that I can learn it before the cruise. We really liked the Canon G6 we got awhile ago, but it met a tragic end. I was photographing DS at a baby pool (his big sisters were right there too) when he tripped and fell face first. So I grabbed him but the camera got splashed and ruined. Not a covered repair under warranty either.

Marielle, I got that itty bitty sony one for mothers day. I am pretty technologically savvy, but that thing is kicking me in the you know what.

If my Rebel or EOS1 film camera fell into the water I would be

Yeah, I'm trying to decide how much effort I will realistically put into learning a new camera. But I actually prefer the ones that are larger; I prefer the handgrip style for balance. The tiny ones are definitely NOT on the list. Not sure if I want to go digital SLR or not; my EOS lenses and film camera have gone unused for quite awhile. But I think the EOS lenses could be used on the EOS digital Rebel.... too much to decide and debate. Rumor has it that Canon is going to be introducing new stuff this month....

So Kim.....

Have you sniffed any duct tape lately?? :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

Kim I was at Michael's last night and saw PINK duct tape! :confused3 I didn't sniff it though.

oooo...I likey that one!!
It's close - the one I saw was like a pencil sketch or something just black and the numbers didn't link together - the 'head' was under the oo's and the 00's were the same size as the 2 and6 - but this will work, too....it's prettier! :artist:

thansk PJ!! Your rock! :thumbsup2

I played in PSE and took away the white background, so now you can put it on top of any element and not have the big white square, :thumbsup2 .

I have it saved in png, jpg and psd formats. Just let me know if anyone needs these and I will post or e-mail them.

I was pretty bummed that it was history after 8 months. So that was a year ago and I still can't commit to another camera purchase. My old Powershot A20 is still hanging in there.

So can I use my old EOS lenses on the Digital Rebel?

I used the lenses from my EOS1 with my Rebel. My DW wants my Rebel and has said that I can get the 5D or EOS 1D. :woohoo:

Oh, and I do try to remind myself that pulling DS (age 1 at the time) out from under the water was more important than the camera...

Thanks, Brack. I thought that was the case.

But are some of the older EOS lenses not compatible with the digital?
