Just before we got back home I got the call from my brother. His wife passed away shortly after 3 today. This is so sad for him, they were completely devoted. Services will be sometime later this week.

Angie, our deepest and heartfelt sympathies, to you, your brother, and your family.

Sooo, in case any of you are on the fence about cruising next year, we have recruited yet another Geek to the 12/6/08 Eastern cruise next year.... Tana is joining me and Becka!! It'll be a Geek redux... so those of you going on this year's cruise, get your deposits ready for a re-book!!!!

No can do Joy. I was told last year no more December cruises by my boss. So unless I change jobs, no me. We are shooting for January '09.

Angie - I am so sorry.

John - Congrats! I sure do wish St. Louis was still in it but they just had a terrible time in September. It is kind of weird around here to not be hearing about the Cardinals this time of year.

I made my final payment for our WDW next month so it is getting really close. Now I need to start focusing on saving money for the cruise next year. As Joy said Tana is now going with us but we could use a few more Geeks. We seem to have some very nice people already booked who could probably very easily be corrupted by some in this group!

So we haven't heard from Becka and her Mac lately.

Maybe she is enjoying her Mac so much that she has no time to post!

I am enjoying my Mac but I have not had much time to play. Unfortunately I have been sick for the past week and I am still not feeling very good. I have a nasty head cold that will just not let up. It still feels a bit foreign to me but I am adjusting.

Plus on Sunday we had our A/C condenser line overflow and flood part of our living room. It looked really bad but we actually managed to get it cleaned up. Water damage is a scary, scary thing. We got everything dried out and we got new padding down and relayed the carpet last night. It is not a professional job by any means but at least it is back down again. Talk about stress....

Plus my company has posted an internal position for a DBA (database administrator) and I think I am going to go for it. I have had an interest in being a DBA for a while but I never had the confidence to apply before. I promised myself that they next time they hired for one internally I would apply so wish me luck!

I also happened to notice that the repo cruise now has a longer thread that we do. It was bound to happen but it was a fun ride while it lasted, huh?

Nathan has finally adjusted to school I believe. Things have been going much better and his teacher seems to be doing very well with his food allergies. I am starting to like her more and more and Nathan just loves her. I am amazed at how much progress he has already made. I know he is a fast learner but the difference in his work in just 6-7 weeks is dramatic. I am so proud of him.

I also happened to notice that the repo cruise now has a longer thread that we do. It was bound to happen but it was a fun ride while it lasted, huh?

That's ok they will die out after their cruise and we'll catch back up. Just keep posting!

Last minute plans too . . . Amy decided long enough with no WDW - we are going to WDW from the 25-29 - super short notice to get a Disney fix. Can you believe if we make it to the World Series I will be flying down while Game 2 is being played in Cleveland?????

Some of us were thinking at the F&W in the early afternoon?

I am there from noon onward and staying for Illuminations and EMH, haven't seen it since the last time I went with DM, in a downpour .

We are heading right to WS and doing the booths, so tell me a time and place and I will be there with hugs and smiles!
