12/09/06 Cruise Continued ~ Pirating Bananas DIS Geekorama Part 2 Part 2

We arrived home about 3 hours ago. We had lots of wind gusts in Eastern Oregon and thru the Columbia River Gorge. Dennis did a great job of holding it in our lane, but it was very tiring for him. He is now in the RV taking a nap, after we gave it a good cleaning. The MH has earned a name. Dennis and I both, for some reason, kept referring to it as "the van." When my niece heard one of us say that, she said "it's a van on steroids!" So, that is now what we call it, The Van on Steroids. Whenever one of us says van, the other adds on steroids. Silly!

I am still catching up on the other thread but I just keep thinking I bet the friends of bill meetings will be full on this cruise! They are a party crowd!

I have not looked over there the whole week. There is no way I can catch up. I will just jump back in and start from where I am. Let me know if I've missed anything I need to know.

Hi Everyone! Every now and then John lets me out!!!

Boy reading his posts you would think that I was back in Ohio! Just wanted to let you guys know that I too, went to Vero Beach and am now staying at Beach Club Villas!! Just Kidding!

No new glasses! Thank you for the compliment. I was a little leary when I first got this glasses but I have to say I really like them!!

We are in Idaho enjoying visiting with good, good friends. I put a stew in the crockpot this morning for all of us for dinner and then baked two apple pies. Yum! Can't wait for dinner now. Tomorrow we will head back to WA state, then home on Sunday. We are having a very restful time.

Sounds like you are having a wonderful time! I am not sure I could do the motor home thing. I am not much of a camper, as John will tell you, although yours sounds very nice. Maybe I wouldn't notice I was in the middle of the woods. I always wanted to be able to lay in bed when John was driving me somewhere, and I don't mean laying in bed while he drives me crazy either!!!!! Can you do that in yours???

Maybe I wouldn't notice I was in the middle of the woods. I always wanted to be able to lay in bed when John was driving me somewhere, and I don't mean laying in bed while he drives me crazy either!!!!! Can you do that in yours???

I don't think I will touch this laying in bed thing . . .

Anyway, we are home too, and had a wonderful time, and the best part we got to spend our last day and morning, with Vanessa, John, and their girls. We did a bit of AK together (Nemo show), then went back for a swim (John and I played "volleyball" in the Beach club pool, and then we went to MK for the evening with John in his Gator gear, and me in my Buckeye gear. We made quite a picture I am sure with our little girls in the front of the Winnie the Pooh ride, and John and I in the backseat, while John was singing "and the rain rain rain came down down down . . ."

YES! I can take a nap on the bed while Dennis drives if I want. I have not yet because SOMEONE has to make sure he is driving correctly! It really is very nice accomodations and not having to lug suitcases in and out of hotels is very nice.

I have spent the past two days cleaning. Today was a total clean out of the dining room & living room...curtains fluffed in the dryer, windows washed, blinds dusted...you name it.

Can you send me some of those energy pills? Who's heard of fluffing curtains? Goodness I better take an up close look at mine!!

Let's see....I don't think I can fluff my curtains for DrHug while he is driving me crazy going down the interstate!

It is an easy & quick way to dust them. The back always has a lining of dust after a few months. I used to vacuum them but this is just easier. Put them in the dryer for 10 minutes on the non heat setting. It works for pillows too.

I've been looking on the internet for a quick trip to WDW in June. I think I can make it happen. Three parts of the puzzle are in place. Now I need to check on one major piece and and one small piece to pull the trigger.
