Gosh Patsy .... just sneak and snag!!!! :thumbsup2 I like your style.

Lisa, I have a great program for making newsletters here on my mac (iworks). And I can even e-mail out the final product to everyone about a week, or more if needed, before we leave. I would be so up for helping out on that project!

 I actually was playing around with the iworks and have started a newletter. It has information on ports, sea day activites, dinning rotations, and the already planned D.I.S. meets. I did this weeks ago, I am such a dork, :surfweb: :bitelip: . It even has some great pics as well. The pre done formats in this program are great. Please pm me if you would like to see a copy and get some help on this project.

Actually started playing with the newletter for those who are newer to the thread to get them some information on cruise happenings.

I was thinking of sending out a couple, one in a couple of weeks, before bookings open, and one closer to the cruise date, thoughts? The first would be more about options for excursions, and palo and other events, pre-cruise etc. And, the second would be more specific to what we are doing as a D.I.S. group.

I thought this could be my special "thing" as I can't get the great deal on fun stuff for the stockings.

:wave2: Marielle - I just noticed on our site that you're staying at the Residence Inn prior to the cruise... We are too!! :woohoo: We are also anticipating the other 2 families that we are traveling with will be staying there so there might be 4 families there on Friday night. But I'm having some difficulty convincing them to fly in the night before.

Oh well -

ROLL CALL - anyone else staying at the Residence Inn on Friday night?

Where did you get these people from anyway, Karen? ;) They have to be whipped into DIS shape!

Hi all,

I was just wondering when we might expect to get any information on the cruise. Theoretically, I should be able to make all my ressies in the middle of August. The only reason I know this is because of this board. I also only know about the current excursions from the navagators Lisa pointed me to. Is this normal? Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Kim

Kim, sadly that is about all you will receive. We have never received anything before our other three cruises before the docs. IDK why. Some people have received a nice book about everything. Thank goodness for the boards. :)

Yes - they are cruise newbies...Dis newbies....but I think they see their ressie number as something they should share for fear of....oh ....say getting stuck with a rowdy bunch of people!?!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So...if it comes down to it...where do you want to sit? With the quiet table...or the :woohoo:  :cool1: table? :rotfl2:

Forget who asked, but yes the family loved the food. Cooking for a horde :crowded: is something I can do. I do have to say that I make killer potato salad. They all  it and the cobbler was a great hit. I had to give the recipe for that to a couple of folks. And I was told by several that I will now be required to bring sweet tea to all the family gatherings. :teeth: This was new to several of them and because my sister "thought not everyone will like it", I made 5 gallons of regular ice tea also------my sister took all that home with her. :rotfl2: My 5 gallon jug was empty! You all are making me smile and :rotfl: again - that is a good thing. :grouphug:

Welcome to all the newbies!!

We're still here...I am leaning towards going to grad school in a year or so.....so for now we're still going! (would give me more time to study for the GMAT at $250 a pop, I only want to take that bad boy once!)

:)
