I want to ask my DISboard friends to say a prayer for my DW and I. Today we were told that our work is moving us but we do not find out where until Friday. It could be back to Washington DC, Tampa or Dallas. Each of those places have positive and negative things about them. It is possible that it could be some other place in the South but these are the most probable.

The sad thing right now is leaving Oklahoma after 6.5 years. We have made a lot of friends and it will be hard. I'm at camp and just called my DW to tell her and she was upset by the news. I'd appreciate the prayers. Thanks.
:offtopic: :( :scared: :sad1:
Of course!!!!!!!!!

Patsy, this was the 2nd best yard sale that we have ever had! :) It was only a $10 fee for the space at the school. The PTO paid for the ad & they (read my friend on the PTO & myself ;) ) put signs up everywhere around town along with two of those big banners that you can get from Coke. :) There was alot of traffic all morning. I just finished with the boxes of clothes. I have 5 trips to the shelter so far with lots of toys & books left out in the car. I wish that it wasn't such a hassle to donate over $250 worth of things at a time! I just don't feel like having to fill out the extra form at tax time so I break it up into groups of 240 or so. This is all name brand girl's clothing...LOTS of Gymbo, Samara, etc. It is hard to let some of the outfits go. I am giving some to a friend who just had twins...one of each. :) I figure that I have a chance of seeing the outfits again on her little girl.

Oh, the best yard sale we had was when we decided whose furniture to keep & whose to get rid of. :) A guy from a used furniture store downtown came by the night before. He bought everything at the price that it was marked. We made 250 that night alone!!! :)

Lisa, I'm glad PTO was working for you this time :goodvibes .

Couldn't sleep so I thought I'd check in and can't remember what page I last posted on, way to many ago :rotfl: Anyway the point was I have pirate tatoos to bring I have like 60 or so. Can you add that to the page thanks. Better try to get back to sleep good night all.

Good morning. Yesterday I went to Lowe's and got refund on the doors. I have calls out to a couple of people that might be able to help. We will just rebuy the doors if we find someone to install. DrHug spent the afternoon dealing with "service engine soon" light on his car. It was just caused by a loose gas cap, which is apparently a common thing. He picked up a gadget at Auto Zone that gives you the code for the problem and then will reset the car's computer. So, problem fixed! :thumbsup2 He had to get it squared away because the tags expire this week and our Department of Environment Quality will not do the smog check if that light is on.

DrHug's "little" bro and his SO came to visit for a while last night. We took them to dinner and had a good visit. They live only 15 miles from us and we have not seen them since Thanksgiving!! I told DrHug he is not a good big brother to let that much time go by with such a short distance to travel. We really cannot be that busy! :confused3 Anyway, it was really good to see them and get :grouphug: .

I have to share a conversation I had with our 16 YO DGS on Friday. He told me that when he is grown he hopes that he is the "kind of man his Grandpa is". That brought tears to my eyes. He went on to say what a great role model he has been for him and that he REALLY would like for Grandpa to write an autobiography as he has so many "cool" stories. I told him that it would likely be difficult to get an autobio published and he said it didn't matter if it is published, he would just like to have it for himself and to share with his children. :goodvibes WOW! When I shared this with DrHug later his glasses would have REALLY fogged up if he would have had them on! :cloud9:

Mrs. Mork - I hope your husband takes his grandson's advice! That would be a real treasure for your family. My DGrandmother passed away 2 weeks after Jake was born and I wish I had something like that! I really hope DrHug takes his advice!

Lisa - did you ever consider selling your clothing on Ebay?

For the little gift exchange I am going to get pencils presonalized with our cruise info and make small candy bags for each of the kids. You can add that to our name.

LOL! As soon as I read the light that was on I was going to suggest filling the gas tank & tightening the cap. That happens on our van all the time. :(

I use to do Ebay ... did very well with the baby things & kid's clothes. I stopped Ebay last year when they changed the rules & said that you HAVE to take CC payments if you take paypal. I'm not going to pay them any more in fees or open myself up to CC fraud. Besides, DH wants to take it all to the dump now. I am better off in the long run just taking the tax deduction at the end of the year. We will need it for this year's taxes since we almost didn't have enough to itemize last year.

That sounds so cool! :)

This afternoon is DD's award presentation for her artwork. :) She didn't want to go this morning. Suddenly she has stage fright. Maybe DS will walk up there with her.

Lisa - I hope your DD does well with her little show. The stage fright thing can be very powerful!

Today we are going to a birthday party for my niece. She is having a MICKEY party! Smart girl if you ask me!

Well, after a not so great start that involved tears, DD made it thru the program today. :) They had the kids seated by schools in the middle of the theater & the parents on the sides. That was not what DD had prepared herself for. :( She sat with us then at the last minute DS got her to go sit in her spot...and stayed with her putting his arm around her until she stopped crying. :) He walked her up to the stage, then went back to their seats while she walked up & got her book...with no tears. I was so proud of both of them. When we saw her afterwards and looked up her picture...we found that it was a short story about who lights the way in her life. I think that it caught DH by surprise. :) Here are some pictures of her big day.

After seeing it, I remembered her teacher telling me how much better she was doing about her daddy being out of town back in October.
