BTW - Sophia got the "you're fat" thing at Kindergarten this year too, and it is ridiculous. I got it all the time when I was a kid, but since I was also bigger than most kids, I took care of that business. Of course, boys handle it differently. DS went through some of that too, but the same thing happened to him as to me, in HS he slimmed out.

I went on some field trips with the kids this year and saw some of that, and I keep telling Sophia she is NOT fat, and it is who she is that counts anyway - not what she looks like. Mommy and Daddy aren't exactly going to win the "Twiggy" award!

Yeah, I was the Dad on the field trips, usually the ONLY one. On one I did have another dad - So I am right at home with this group. Feel like I am on another field trip to the zoo - but we never got to slimming underwear on any of those

I LOVE rock-paper-scissors!!! You will all think I am totally corny but my DH and I play that all of the time. We play it for things that must be done but neither of us wants to do them. For example, changing diapers, turning out a light when we are both in bed, getting DS a drink, and that sort of thing. Anyway, it started back when we first got married and has continued. I can honestly say that we abide by the R-P-S 100%. If you lose you lose! Some of our friends think it is funny. One couple even started to do it when they have some unfun chore!

I thought we were the only ones crazy enough to do this!!! I think I found a kindred spirit here in the "cult". DH and I do RPS for all kind of stuff - especially diapers. DS has now learned how to play and he will RPS us for all kinds of stuff.

Hylands Teething Tablets are all natural dissolvable tablets for teething discomfort. I was VERY skeptical when a friend of mine told me about them but I started asking around and found lots of people used them and had great success. DD hated the Orajel and it upset her so badly to use it that it was worse then the teething pain but she LOVED taking the teething tablets and they made such a big difference for her. You could really tell it helped her pain and she was so much happier and calmer. She would get so excited whenever you pulled out the bottle.

I've been going back and forth on which camera to bring but now I might actually bring the Rebel XT

Bring the XT. I always bring my big camera even when I was using an EOS1 film camera. I always want the best pictures of my trips and that is what I paid the money for a good camera. I'm bringing my Digital Rebel for sure.

My shirts are sitting in a warehouse in Kansas City. Hopefully I will get them before Monday. Disney has started using something called SmartPost that is meant to speed up delivery but has caused me nothing but headaches. They FedEx it to a USPS facility in KC and then the postal service delivers it to my house in theory quicker than it would take otherwise. Yeah, right.
