ITA with the mean spiritedness of some kids. Last year DD came home very upset most of the year because a couple of girls in her Kindergarten class said that she was fat. :(
It's so sad that Kindergarteners worry about who's fat or thin. Imagine the low self esteem of the teasers. :guilty: But, try to explain that to a little kid.

Baby Orajel is the answer to all of life's problems when you are only 6 months old!

And a stiff drink fixes all the rest of life's problems at any other age!!!

I know. :( She isn't even 6 yet. Since I worked at the school and knew the kids who were saying this I really had to keep myself from telling her that these girls were sticks & too thin...I didn't want her saying that to them though. I don't want her dealing with an eating disorder. I believe that I had one before they were given a name.

I was going to add to my original post that a rum and coke will help mom get through Eliza's need for baby orajel!

I teach elementary school and we always say that there are no people meaner than little kids! They really are brutal to one another. The fat/thin thing is a huge problem at our school. We have kids as young as 1st grade on "diets" because kids make fun of them. They usually aren't even chunky. They are usually just ordinary, normal, adorable, kids!

The older kids get really catty about who has nice clothing and money. We have a very diverse building. We have kids coming from one town that is really poor. They are literally almost all on free/reduced lunch. The kids from the not so poor town are BRUTAL to the other kids. It is sad. We have bullying programs in place but they don't always work. Things happen "quietly" and the picked on kids are afraid to tell a teacher.

My DW is very computer literate but I have not been able to get her on the board. She has gone with me to several meets but I think she believes that we are a "cult" and wants to be careful!
:lmao: Do you live in my house? At least you got her to a meet. I mentioned a local one once and his face dropped. Although recently he has started reading links to the boards I send which is frankly amazing.

Our thread was rather quite today. Now that I know that Lisa's DH reads the thread....HI :wave2:

Boy, there are a couple of pages back there that I think I will print out and take on the cruise with me . . . wonder how many drinks I can get brought to me in exchange for not sharing with your DH's??? :rotfl2:

Just what exactly are all you redheads going to say to your DH's when I ask you when they are around if you are wearing your "Spanx"! :lmao:

Who's this strange man from that cult asking about your undergarments???

Ahhhh, I won't do it - you'll probably all excommunicate me, and I've always heard those tales about the :furious: of the redhead!

DW's hair was an Auburn color (she may disagree with that) when we were dating. Son has light brown hair, daughter a bit darker, mine near black, and all of us with brown eyes. That's why I like that Van Morrison song . . . I have two "Brown Eyed Girls" - even though one of them is still "Walt's girl" :rolleyes1

I had never heard of them until this chat group, but here is the info from the best buy site. I am thinking they may be a big thing this christmas.... but with this group, probably not a worry. I am sure you have all already purchased and wrapped the hottest toys for the season. This has got to be the most prepared group ever. I love you guys! I don't feel over prepared at all here.

Zizzle Disney Princess Zizzlingers Miniature Collectible Game Pieces

Model: 7050

Zizzlingers are the cool new way to collect figures. Shake up the packet to mix the contents, then drop it into a container of water. Watch the magic unfold before your eyes as the packet sizzles and fizzes, exploding with color. Once it stops bubbling, just reach in and retrieve your figures. Will you get two or three of your favorite Disney Princess characters? You won't know until you drop the packet in water and watch the fizzing fun.

Once you have rescued your figures from the fizzy solution, you can play a fun rock-paper-scissors game with them. On the bottom of each figure is one of five power symbols, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Pit your figures against your friends' and see who has the strongest one. If you show the same symbol, it's a tie and battle begins with another figure. Whoever wins the most rounds wins the game, so get fizzing those packets and collecting the Zizzlingers.

Features detailed Disney Princess character figures

Shake the packet to mix the contents and then drop it in water

Watch as the packet fizzes, bubbles and explodes with color

Once the fizzing stops, reach in and see if you've gotten two or three figures

I LOVE :lovestruc rock-paper-scissors!!! You will all think I am totally corny but my DH and I play that all of the time. We play it for things that must be done but neither of us wants to do them. For example, changing diapers, turning out a light when we are both in bed, getting DS a drink, and that sort of thing. Anyway, it started back when we first got married and has continued. I can honestly say that we abide by the R-P-S 100%. If you lose you lose! Some of our friends think it is funny. One couple even started to do it when they have some unfun chore!
