OK, little poll...

How many of you would actually consider going on the Magic if it has a repo cruise in August through the Panama Canal in 2008?

I would love to but we wouldn't book it. DH can't get away from the office like that for 2 weeks & the heat would deter me from wanting to book a cruise during the summer. There weren't too many good reports from the Mexican reports in 2005 either. Everyone complained that it was alot cooler there.

We would be more likely to do the May Westbound repro. No kids and school for us to worry about. August is very hot. I plan to contact Dreams and ask to get on a list for the westbound IF it happens.

We might look into driving to LA and flying to Orlando from there then driving home from LA. We have relatives that would watch our car, I think. In 2005 I spent an entire Friday watching the Magic go thru the locks on the web cams. :sad1: I don't want to be watching from afar again! :)

Thanks Lisa! Savannah says she cried last night so she is doing better today. She and daddy are looking at pictures of Golden Retriever Puppies. My dad knows we have always had rescue dogs, and told me this may cost a a little more than you are used too. I told him, I just want to buy some longevity. Our dog would have been 2 on February 24th. I just love goldens, so I hope they pick one!

Yeah, I am posting at halftime because the game is el-stinko for the Buckeyes. Turnovers, field position, penalties, no Ted Ginn after an amazing return, and an inspired Gator team whose QB looks more like the Heisman winner than Troy Smith. Oh, and how do you go for it on 4th and one on your own 29 and NOT make it? OSU better have the half of their life!

Kim - lexi is a labradoodle . . . I have seen some amazing lovely Goldendoodles. Just something to think about. Goldens are beautiful dogs, the mix with the poodle makes a cute dog that does not shed much.

Lisa, the OSU Band is just awesome live! The "Script Ohio" is something else.

Well . . . 2nd half on tap.

First half to Vanessa and John2.

Amy called to wish you luck bad girl - are you out watching the big game?

I can tell you we would strongly consider it. Based on several factors . . .

- does it interfere with school?
- Cost
-Cost
- Did I say cost?

If it does not interfere with school, and the cost is in line, I think we would do it Kim - even though it is in August, and would probably be a bit warm.

John1

Amy hates the warm weather, but I would just love to see the Panama Canal. I wrote my first term paper on the Panama Canal in eighth grade.

Is there any word yet on possible dates Kim?

This is what the guy who always travels in the disney suite back to back thinks..

May 17 - 31 Westbound Repositioning
May 31
June 7, 14, 21, 28
July 5, 12, 19, 26
August 2, 9, 16
August 23 - September 6 Eastbound Repositioning

You know John, the more you talk about Amy, the more I think it might be the perfect destination for her. And Lisa, with the heat issues, I think you might like it too!

Just think, 85 degrees, very low humidity, a nice breeze and did I mention it smells like flowers even in the airport?

This is what Ivanova thinks

My guess is slightly different ... May repo ending Memorial Day weekend (5/24) and the Aug repo starting two weeks before Labor Day weekend (arriving in FL on the Sat of Labor Day weekend)

LOL Kim, I assume you are talking Hawaii . . . at first I was thinking does Panama smell like flowers?

Those repo dates look like end of school year or back to school spoilers. That is what happened last time, and is also a problem on the transatlantic repos. I don't mind Sophia missing school, but the beginning or end or year misses are a bad time to miss.

Nice to see you hanging in with me Kim, I thought I cleared the room!

V - I bet you are feeling pretty good now.

And of course I am talking about Hawaii! Maybe all the people on the main board are wrong and it won't be mexico. If it is 2 week into August like Ivanova says, we could be ok... May, not ok... But like Angie said, would be better weather...

Is there some kind of fairy dust thing to send to DCL about no more mexico?

How about another poll . . .

2008 . . .

Disney Cruise

or . . .

Hawaii?

(how is all that flower smell on allergies?)

John1

Got back from the girls' field hockey games in time for the "go for it on 4th and 1" play... so if you're following the game, you know I only saw good news for V & John2... Trying to decide if I should stick it out for the rest of the game now... and OSU gets sacked as I type this.

I vote Disney Cruise TO HAWAII!

Yeah, me too, but that one sounds more outlandish than some of the MacWorld rumors I am hearing.

How long would a DCL cruise to Hawaii take?

John1

(Who has just about lost interest in this football game, and hopes Vanessa is having the time of her life)

Why do we have to depend on the cruise to go to Hawaii? Kim, since that is your favorite place, get some info together. How much are we talking?

At that point it was more like...what football game?

Gators seem like they can do no wrong!

Ughhhhhhhhh!

If you don't do round trip, you can get there and see Maui, Kawaii, Hawaii (both sides) and Oahu in 9 or 10 days. When we went, we flew to Oahu and came back through ensenada. Of course, I would rather go there, and then just stay there a little while longer...

I am going to have to go back in 2008, even if we take 2 vacations, it is a medical necessity.
