I dropped the dog at the vet to get neutered. DrHug has been just fretting all week about the "poor dog".The dog was kind of mopey for the last few days and DrHug kept trying to convince me that "the dog knows what you have planned."
Now he is a smart dog, and he was with me when I discussed with the vet, but he is not THAT smart.

Oh yeah?
I agree with Dr. Hug. Male intuition.
Are you trying to sneak this in Angie with the current discussion . . . i.e. Lisa and Becka?
I can tell you that this old dog is STILL not getting neutered!

Yes, John1, it seemed to fit right in with Lisa and Becka's conversations.
And yes, my old dog would never go for the snip either. Poor dog though it is more than just a snip.

I have to get rid of this headache.
So, I am trying to get myself out of this funk. Maybe I need to go shopping like Lisa....
Yes they are! My mom's carotid arteries were 100% occluded on one side and 95% on the other. I learned SO much about strokes. I had not a clue about them prior to that - I wish we had scanned first vs. the dye as recommended.Dennis and I are going to get our carotids and legs scanned for plaque today. We also will get a scan checking for abdominal arotic anyerism (spelling John1). A company is doing these scans because these are silent killers (stroke). I was thrilled to be able to get a baseline. They will have the results read by a physician and then send us reports that we can take to our doc for our medical records. I am particularly happy to get the AAA scan since my father died from complications of this. He obviously had it for years as it was the size of a football when they did surgery and no one ever knew he had it.![]()
LOL I knew you would chime in there John! There are now 3 of our friends (2 over 40 and 1 over 36) who are expecting. I told DH - ehm - if you don't want that to be you.... (you know that big cartoon balloon)! He blinked a few times and changed the subject.Oh yeah?

I am having a bummer day, and you all have been very funny! Our dog died last night. As many of you know she had an extremely rare blood disease that made her blood very very thick. one of her vets worked at the emergency clinic in colorado that you see on T.V. all the time and she said last night in 20 years of emergency vetrenary care, she has only ever seen 1 case of this and that our dog was the only one she had ever tried to treat. She started having horrible twitches and siezures it was awful. Savannah was a wreck. We got her upstairs quicky and Steve called the vet and took her down immediatley. No oxygen to the brain.. sad day. Savannah and I were trying to watch something distracting on T.V. and I swear every commercial was a dog commercial. So, she went to bed really late and got donuts at 10 p.m.. She should have asked for a pony.
Our friends mother passed away on Saturday so we will be going to that funeral on wed.. My family does not do funerals. They are all cremated and the ashes spread, or buried, but no funeral. My first funeral was when I had been married to Steve and one of his friends died. I really don't like them, but I don't know anyone who does, so I guess that is normal.
So, I am trying to get myself out of this funk. Maybe I need to go shopping like Lisa....
John, we stayed at Beach Club Villas last February and loved it. They have a GREAT POOL! Hmmm....
