I picked the dog up at the vet on the way home. He was pretty agitated in the car (John1 and DrHug would understand his agitation!) He has one of those headgear things on and he was trying to get on my lap in the car.He is 70 lbs! OY I drove with one hand and kept my other on his collar holding him down on the passenger seat.
When we finally got home (it was only about 4 miles but seemed like 20 to me!) I grabbed his leash, opened my door and started getting out. He lunged out my door, I was not yet fully out, and I went down on my rump right on the muddy lawn with 70 lbs of dog on top of me.
Glad no one was around to see it and

I KNOW! I was thinking the same thing. I thought when they broadcasted the quarterly meeting they would start doing keynotes. One never knows perhaps tomorrow??So Carla,
Can you explain to me why I have to watch the keynote as streaming video, and cannot download it for free to iTunes so that I can watch it on my iPod?
That really drives me crazy!

I am having a bummer day, and you all have been very funny! Our dog died last night. As many of you know she had an extremely rare blood disease that made her blood very very thick. one of her vets worked at the emergency clinic in colorado that you see on T.V. all the time and she said last night in 20 years of emergency vetrenary care, she has only ever seen 1 case of this and that our dog was the only one she had ever tried to treat. She started having horrible twitches and siezures it was awful. Savannah was a wreck. We got her upstairs quicky and Steve called the vet and took her down immediatley. No oxygen to the brain.. sad day. Savannah and I were trying to watch something distracting on T.V. and I swear every commercial was a dog commercial. So, she went to bed really late and got donuts at 10 p.m.. She should have asked for a pony.
Our friends mother passed away on Saturday so we will be going to that funeral on wed.. My family does not do funerals. They are all cremated and the ashes spread, or buried, but no funeral. My first funeral was when I had been married to Steve and one of his friends died. I really don't like them, but I don't know anyone who does, so I guess that is normal.
So, I am trying to get myself out of this funk. Maybe I need to go shopping like Lisa....
John, we stayed at Beach Club Villas last February and loved it. They have a GREAT POOL! Hmmm....
Goldens can be great dogs...big, goofy,
If you are going the breeder route..... Ask to see if they have had any issues in their lines with thyroid problems (i know a few people with them and it is common in the breed) a good breeder will admit to any problems they've seen in the past (not every litter in perfect if they're being honest with you.)
Last night was pretty rough on me. I woke up about midnight in a full fledged panic attack. I have not had one in a few years (since I was pregnant with DD) so I had forgotten how scary they can be. I still dont have any news on the baby thing but my mind just wont rest apparently even when I am sleeping. I woke up and could not breathe and just totally freaked out at the possibility of being pregnant. I was shaking and crying, gasping for air, etc.. Poor Aaron didnt even really know what to say too me. He is trying to be optimistic for me but I was too far gone by that point. I really just pray that we get some news either way soon because the not knowing is just so hard.
After work tonight I went to the furniture store to buy Nathan's new bed. Allie is ready to move out of the crib so we are going to give her DS's old bed and he is getting a new captain's bed. He really wants a bunk bed but there is no way he is ready for one. He has to jump to get up on this one though so I think he will still be really happy.
It should be in in 2-3 weeks. This means that I also need to decide what sheets to buy for Allie. I am thinking of getting some princess stuff for her.![]()
I think I am going to "cheat" a little. Since she is getting her big girl bed in a few weeks and I think I am going to do her room in Disney Princess stuff I think I will ask for stuff for her room. I don't know what else to tell them...![]()
