I was telling DH today that I couldn't live in cold places. It's in the 30s here today and it's killing me. I used to love the cold but well, I'm not as insulated as I was last year and the cold is really getting to me now. I want warmth!!

My DH told a client today we had to go on vacation because I had to get warm or lose my sanity.

More big news!

I just got a call from my fav independant book store, and a dictionary I ordered back in JULY is finally here.

It is a Hardback Spanish only school dictionary for the school in Costa Maya.

She worked really hard to find it. I'm so proud of her.

Now, I need a volunteer to deliver it for me since I'll be on an alternate excursion.

Patsy I would be honored to present it to the school for you, if you have not had a volunteer yet.

Well in case you have not guessed I am back.

I like the highlights I had done - very natural looking and I had about 3 inches cut off. My hair feels so much lighter just from that little bit. Sorry I can't join the bad haircut club.

Well that's good news. Maybe I will go tomorrow while Dina is in school...

I realize the above with make Kim laugh and Vanessa faint but for us here it is a pretty good little storm. Not earth shattering but problematic at the same time.

It is looking like the freezing rain will miss us and much of Portland. Just looking for it to be a problem east of the city heading out into the Columbia River Gorge. Truckers on I-84 will have some troubles though. Oregon does not allow any salt on the roads, so if there is ice they just shut the interstate down. Sometimes for days out thru the Gorge. Makes the truckers pretty upset.

NO Caroline, just the one it came with. It has been adequate for most of what I do. I would like a better telephoto zoom, and a better wide angle, but I am patient.

If I spent more time with photography like I used to, I would probably have those lenses. Other priorities these days. Remember, the camera is just a tool, and the XTi is a wonderful one, but what happens in front of that lens, and how you see it behind the lens is the most important thing. The Camera is just the middle man.

Ansel Adams took some of the most beautiful photos you would ever want to see, and he did not have near the equipment that we all take for granted.

I then needed to run by the grocery store for milk the night before an ice/snowstorm. What a madhouse and they were out of so much. They didn't even have much milk left. I managed to get most of what I came for before going home. The weather is already getting really nasty and we have not seen anything yet.

What a bright, lovely, intelligent child. Send her over anytime, and tell her that there are several of your friends on the cruise that enlightened. She will probably be teaching you how to use that camera within a week.
