Heard Ohana is good, need ADR?

Remember to include tips! But as you said, if you are doing heavy character dining and ordering alcoholic drinks, it may be worthwhile. But those $20 drinks for 4 people can add up fast and bump up they tip! It can be a $16 tip (at 20%) for just four drinks! Split stay is the way to go because your refillable mug will work for the second part of your stay, if the DDP is booked for the beginning of your trip.
Yea I’ll get hit with the 18% mandatory grat. It gets pricey even on the plan.

I still liked the food at Ohana and it's become this 'oh you have to do this one day' kind of thing. With that said of all the character meals we've done this is the only one I legit felt rushed out of.

That’s partially cause the waiters control the tempo via when they serve the food as opposed to buffet style

hI,
I heard the Ohana restaurant at the Polynesian is a really good place to eat. Is a reservation recommended or are they pretty open?

I am also staying at the contemporary resort? Do I have to make a reservation every morning for breakfast is eating at the easier table service? (Not chef mickeys or anything)
Ohana is not good for breakfast (havent done dinner in years). skip it. You can pretty much get a similar food experience at the QS.
