Looks like almost everyone has responded now Lisa. I wonder where RealMickey and slindamood have been?

If only the late arrivals who have late seating linked up...

Slindamood, has popped in every couple of weeks, she(?) was here for the great pot pie debate of October 2006.

RealMickey'sGirl has been over on the scrapping site, I know she is a big scrapper.

Am I sick or what, i am up at 5:45am and watching CNN for election news. I don't even live in the country, lol.

Although we have a city election, for mayor, councillors, and school board trustees, coming up. The signs are an eye sore, and i doubt that the homes with back fences, facing main roads, have actually given permission for 5 different candidates to post huge signs.

And this week we have started getting the phone messages, they are marked private, I could not even understand the first one, as the caller could not speak english very well yet. If you have a good message to get across, use staffers who have good communication skills and can convey that for you. I don't even know the name of the Candidate because the accent was so think.

that's how I learned it - I learned to say Sprinkles and waiting on line when I lived in NY.

when will they get the clock fixed. It does make it confusing when pirating.

I think it is list time for the cruise - I am starting to think of too many things that need to be done.

our holoiday card situation is a disaster and every year we say we will consolidate lists but we never get to it. We also need to update addresses.

guess it is time to get going on a pic of the kids too for the card. I always buy the cards at years end. And say that I will address them over the summer at the pool - never do.

We both have address books, computer address book, kids school lists with addresses. It takes me hours to get all the cards done.

then the LETTER - does anyone else send the letter? I sort of hate the concept but that is the reality of what time is available. I try to call people and also send the card with letter.

When we moved to NC I was shocked by the number of natives who actually thought that I moved from the North. Yes, VA is north of NC BUT they meant the north as in the Civil War. OY BOY! I finally had to stop their nonsense by pointing out that VA had to be OK since their capital was in our state. They actually tried to argue that Richmond wasn't in VA back then. OY BOY! OY BOY! OY BOY!

I remember going to the post office near Colonial Williamsburg as a kid and someone calling me a Yankee when I bought my postcard stamps - I started to cry. No one ever makes this distinction in northern states.

Hey Angie, why do they hate it?

probably because it is like toll booth collectors, rural mail deliverers - they get arm and shoulder strain - not to mention cold hanging out the window. Only the phramcy clerk comes to the window at our CVS unless no one else is there.

Tomorrow is Election Day so I will be taking my lunch break to go vote. I will be so glad when all of the commercials and phone calls stop! It has been insane here lately and the Senate race in particular has gotten nasty!

My mom works at the Election Polls. It is her "big job" she works 2 days each year! When I am working my dad takes those 2 days off (my mom is my baby sitter) to stay with the kids. He loves it! He gets loads of vacation days so it isn't a big deal for him. He said that he was sad that this year I am home and he wasn't needed. I told him that anytime he wants to take a day off of work to be with my kids is fine with me!

I am also very glad that the commercials and calls will be ending. It is so annoying and nasty!
