Tomorrow is Election Day so I will be taking my lunch break to go vote. I will be so glad when all of the commercials and phone calls stop! It has been insane here lately and the Senate race in particular has gotten nasty!

It was quite here until about a week ago. Now I get a few phone calls a day and too much mail.

I am pretty sure I know how I am going to vote on most things but I am still a little undecided on our Amendment 3 proposition (Tobacco Tax). I may just not vote on that one.

You get to vote on things being taxed?? They just keep tacking on taxes left and right here...

Carla, now would be a great time to address your Christmas cards.

I actually have to do that a little earlier here. We have a large family Christmas party every year in Philly, but I will miss it for the first time this year (Dec 10th). We just bring our cards there and save on postage! I will have to get them done to give to my mom to take.

that's Boston yankee (a whole other breed) - we don't have jimmies in NY.

that's how I learned it - I learned to say Sprinkles and waiting on line when I lived in NY.

I was just kidding asking what Yankee was. We Northerners don't call anything Yankee except "Yankee Pot Pie" So it always makes me laugh to hear or read it. So here is the Jimmie explaination and guess what - it is very specific "Yankee Speak" Jimmies/Sprinkles

thank you Lisa! Actually I have been trying to order them from hallmark. The ones I want I can't find in the store anymore. Unfortunately not all of the cards are up on the site. Last year we got them printed and having the envelopes dones with our return address was wonderful. Okay - next idea. Please.

DD has tomorrow off for teacher-in-service and then Friday off. This week my after school provider is on vacation and of course its a busy week for both of us. I just keep saying I can do it I can do it I can do it.
