11004 and 12510 Bump-Out Concierge on the Dream

Hmmm, this makes me wonder something. We have 12510 booked on the Fantasy for next Sept for our daughter, her hubby and 3 kids, and you say on the Dream it only sleeps 4. Do you think there's a difference between the two ships? Surely we couldn't have booked a room that didn't sleep all the guests, right?

The cat V cabins have a queen for 2, a double pullout sofa for 2, and a ceiling drop down for 1. So 12510 sleeps 5 by sharing beds. PP is correct though, no wall murphys in the cat V's. The bedding in the cabins are the same on the Dream and Fantasy.

On the Fantasy they will have a 42" flat panel TV at the end of the queen bed in addition to the smaller one over the desk. IRRC only the two most forward V's (one on each side, connecting to the cat R's)on the Dream have this larger TV at the foot of the bed.

We have 12508 in Nov on the Dream. Were you able to get a lounger for your verandah?

Oh! Thank you so much! I was expecting the third child to be on a Murphy bed - glad to know it's a pull down bunk! That will help my DD prepare the kids for how they'll be sleeping! And they'll love having 2 tv's! Thanks for the info!

I would also like to know if you can get a lounger for the bumped out decks. We are in room 12008 in Nov.

I just thought of the same thing when looking at the pictures again. I think at least one lounger should be offered.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing. We too are doing a back to back next month. We are staying in cat v followed by cat t. What was your experience like on the turn around day? Hoping for a smooth transition....:cool1::cool1:

If one or two are not in place when you arrive, just ask, I'm confident it won't be an issue. ;)

Some photos show the seated loungers and others don't. Are seated loungers for bump out concierge rooms available on the Dream?

I would definitely want to have them available when I choose to use them. Sailing on the Dream in 12010 July 2014

Your veranda will have the standard two chairs and a table on it when you board. If you want loungers or more chairs, you need to ask the onboard concierge.

We were in 11004 in May and could not get loungers. We were told by the room host and Concierge that loungers were not allowed. We were on the Fantasy. You may have a different experience on the Dream.

I have been checking periodically to see if a bump out stateroom was available and got lucky today! we'll be in stateroom 12010 and are very excited to have the bump out!
Jen we are staying in that cabin on the October 25, 2014 sailing! We are excited too! Can't wait!

I have a question. Is it possible to walk across the sofa bed at night when it is put down to get to the balcony. We were in 12506 on our last cruise on the Dream so we did not have to worry about it but we will be in 12510 on the Fantasy next year and this is my only concern.

We were in 12508 on the Fantasy a few weeks ago, and we could not walk around the pull out. I had to climb/crawl over the bed to reach the veranda.

 :sad2:

This is a bumpout cat V, portside, on deck 11, which actually has verandas 3 feet deeper than those above. Which means, poster had more than enough room for said loungers.

I can't believe they denied you. I will ask aboard what's up. fwiw.

Just out of curiosity, who were the Concierge Hosts?

This poster was on the Fantasy. This is shocking. And when I'm aboard soon I will inquire about said chairs and such. The availability and rules if they exist.

I will note your/this thread and post in a month, with a response.

I'm shocked they didn't provide what you asked. Even though it may have only been a veranda request. :sad2:

I'll ask in a couple weeks.

:goodvibes

Thanks Bear, look forward to hearing about your experience. Just to clarify the loungers I'm asking about are not the full length ones on deck 11. If you are able see if there are different procedures/rules between Dream and Fantasy.

Others have posted pics of chairs with adjustable backs similar in size to the fixed back chairs on those bump outs (should have saved pic for reference, oops).

I know my wife would love to read and chill on the bump out in one of those.

The hosts were PJ, Amanda and Tracey. We were told it was due to safety regulations and they couldn't make an exception. It was a little disappointing because it was such a great verandah, but it was a wonderful cruise and we had a great time.

Turnaround day was a breeze but wish they had given better instructions. Off the ship by 9:30, downstairs & through customs like everyone else then when you exit customs, go to the right & back up the escalator to check back in. Waited in the concierge lounge then back on the ship around 10:15, before they opened the port to new guests :-)

Quick question - do bump out cabins on The Fantasy not have an open verandah/balcony? ie: from the pics i see it seems like its clear glass/perspex all around and that it isnt open like a verandah/balcony cabin? many thanks :)

Fantasy is the same as the Dream. Cabins on the bump out on deck 11 are the only ones with the plexi curved top. Deck 12 cabins all are open.
