11-7-10 Wonder cruise meet

Is anyone else doing a trip report for our cruise? I started a Pre Trip Report and will finish it as a trip report once we return home but wasn't sure if anyone else was going to do one. I need reading material LOL.

I can't wait I am just counting down the days and you were all right school doesn't keep my mind off of it one bit! 40 more days!

No trip report here. I have no idea how to take that on. I will just sit back and enjoy reading yours!

Hi
Can any experienced cruisers tell us the difference between booking the port or starboard side of the ship? We were allocated the starboard side by Disney reservations. Any thoughts? :confused3

We love starboard, have sailed on that side twice so far and have always enjoyed the views from there. This cruise the location where we wanted our room they only had Port Side left so we will see how that compares.

But you should enjoy being on the Right side of the ship (starboard-right) a lot!

36 Days!!!!!!!!

It's so exciting to be in the 30's not the 100's and not the 40's but the 30's its going to be here faster then we know!!

I can't wait! We are halfway done with our FE gifts and we are having so much fun picking things out :D I hope everyone is having as much fun as we are!

Of Course I post and then this afternoon went to get the mail and guess what I got!!!!

Our Cruise Documents!!!!! It's really real! :D Anyone else get theirs yet?

Yeah.......hope ours is coming too! I know what you mean about the countdown, we started counting down when we booked back in December! Still working on our FE gifts, so many choices......:cheer2:

Yes! we got our cruise docs and luggage tags in the mail today! I was so excited couldnt sleep! Still working on our FE gifts, Cant believe next month we will be on the ship-all our disney dreams coming true!!

I want my cruise Documents to come in the mail.. I will be running out to the mailbox for the next week waiting for them to be there.. that to me is when it becomes so real, that it is finally soon.. We have had this cruise booked for 2 years now, so its hard to think it is just around the corner.. :goodvibes

:cool1::cool1::cool1: Yay!!! Glad you got yours!

We hope you all like your FE gifts when you get them :) we finished putting them together last night :thumbsup2

I also got some new shirts for the cruise, and I am going to start packing things next week as I have to unpack from my short trip to Pop Century in July :lmao: I hate unpacking can you tell! :lmao:

But most of the packing has to wait until just before so we can finish our :laundy: so I won't be completely packed probably until morning of the 6th before we head to the Country Inn and Suites in Port Canaveral :cheer2:

Our trip stuff came this week as well...YIPPEE!!!! I was just looking at the shore excursions in Nassau and have it narrowed to 3; the glass bottom boat, another harbor cruise or the See and sea

We are going to do the Sea Lions and are SOOOOO excited. My husband and boys did a glass bottom boat when we cruised last year on the Wonder and were disappointed. I went on a tour of Atlantis while they did that and it was nice. It was such a hot day, however, that I think we could have enjoyed it alot more than we did.:woohoo:

We are staying onboard the ship, we may take the scooter we are renting down to get my mom's and I's passport stamped and buy a few souvinears but won't stay on the island very long.

I was looking at some link that was posted here on the DIS that tells you what ships will be in port the same day you are. We are VERY lucky we aren't on the cruise after ours. Nassau will have 17,000 people in port compared to about 4,000 on our cruise date.

Only two ships in Nassau ours and a Carnival Ship.

That is good to know Amy about the other ships. Definitely will make anytime on land more enjoyable knowing that it is less crowded than it will be the following week! Heard that our FE was sent out to us yesterday, so we are anxiously awaiting the delivery of that! I am still working on the FE gifts, honestly my ideas and head are spinning! Excited for the Meet and Greet and just everything!:dance3:

Ditto that for us - we just aren't interested in doing any excursions or spending time in Nassau. We probably feel that way because its our first cruise and we're just excited to stay on the ship.

The last few months have been sheer crap at work, but fortunately evertything that is going on has a deadline of November 1st, so I know that: (1) I will be done before vacation, and (2) I will need a vacation!

DH talked to our girls' Principals this week about taking them out of school. We've done this every year, but DD14 is in high school now and I was a bit concerned (but I was also adamant that regardless, we were going to take our vacation). But it went really well, no problems, so that's one more thing taken care of.

Now to start packing...
