Couple of highlights from our trip.

Leaving Puerto Vallarta, we hit a HUGE storm which was later described as the second worst storm ever on the Magic or Wonder. Captain was on the bridge sailing blind. They couldn't see a thing and were depending on computers. Rain was going sideways AND there was a major leak/flood in the midship area - including running down the elevators (which had to be closed) ala the Poseidon Adventure.

That storm caused Pirate party to be moved to the Atrium and fireworks postponed. THe bonus was that the next night we had a deck party and fireworks. So a two-fer.

The other highlight is that the President of DCL - Tom McAlpin - was sailing with us with his family (including his mom). I got to chat with him on the deck on fireworks night and he told me about this being the second worst storm. No hints on future stuff but he was surely looking at details the whole trip. We saw him everywhere.

Oh and
We added on our DVC membership - we bought points at the AKV!!! They were offering incredible incentives so if they have the same thing going in November, those who already own and those who are thinking of it should attend a presentation. We got a significant discount on the points we purchased, they gave us the same useage month we have with our other contract which is important for booking in advance. They gave us a $500 onboard credit (more if you buy more points), they also gave us the equivalent number of points which we purchased in developer points to use at Saratoga Springs within the next year or on DCL over the next two years. So basically a free vacation.

So I don't want to be a commercial for DVC but we have been considering a small add on for a couple of years now and this was just too good to pass up.

We are home---less one good lookin' teenage boy He forgot a cord that goes to his computer and a few other essentials....SO....I have to go see him again tomorrow.....only 1 1/2 hour drive.....that's nothing to see my baby again.....man I need to get a grip

Well, we finally made it home this afternoon, and went straight to a long nap! Left the house at 10:00 yesterday morning, made it to the hotel at midnight last night! That was one LOOOONG day! But, at least the drive home today was a short(er) one.
