WHAT!!! You have to THINK about it!!!
Just take the damn tickets and go back or sell them to me at a discount!

I asked the kids tonight if they wanted to go back to WDW if we go back again in August and they all said "NO".....even Holly gave me a bigger scowl then normal.

The gal that called me from Disney said there was several thing they could do to compensate us, so I guess I'll see what other options they give.

If I do take the tickets we'll be more then happy to sell them.

The girl that called me did listen to my complaints and made me feel a little better about Disney. She apologized and said it was their fault that our reservation was missing. (among other things) She also apologized for the other reservations we had to cancel.

She also said they found out why they were telling me that my credit card was being charged for other things in the park I didn't reserve. Apparently there was another Greg Campbell at WDW that week, but she said he (the other Greg Campbell) was from another state and that Disney should of "picked up on that" before causing me so much grief? (duh, ya think?)

On the cruise we were on there were more than 1 Porter families, could that be why they were so nice to us?

I had an interesting experience too......someone from Disney called me today to apologize for our experience at WDW.

They said they did find our reservation for the Royal table and it was their fault.

They offered to give us another set of 7 day park hopper passes to come and "give them another chance"?

I told them I'd think about it tonight and to call me back tomorrow.

I'll probably take the tickets and then sell them on eBay to get some of my money back.

Ummm hello...I'll take two of those tickets.

Well at least now you know what happened, even though thats no excuse.
One idea might be if they give you some free or highly discounted lodging for August. Sea World isnt that far via the freeway. Perhaps that would save you from paying for another place.

Then sell the tickets if you want.

I know its hard to believe but what happened to you is highly unusual. It really was. I feel so badly it happened on your first visit so WDW leaves a bad taste in your mouth because it really isnt like that all the time.

It can be so much fun, just like the other attractions. I hope someday you will give it another try, without it being a peak holiday season and go with an open mind, I think you'll be pleasantly surprized.

At least you know they took your complaint seriously and did investigate the whole situation. A lot of places would have just let it go after all this time.

Good morning all,
well I tried to post last night but i lost my internet AGAIN!! I didnt want to knock on the hosts toor that late and ask him to go reboot the router again.

We are finally getting a break in the cold, upper 40's today, maybe even 50.
But the wind will make it feel much colder. Over the weekend, NO rain.
YEAH!!! We need to dry out some.

Wow Greg that is a VERY generous offer and I really can't believe that Disney made an offer that big. I think I told you that we had one really bad experience with Disney and we sent a letter of complaint, got a call from a very nice person who offered to let us use a "special" number for our next trip to make sure the reservation was as we had wanted it. But with that special number we couldn't use our AP discount or anything else so all in all it was a pretty bad "make up" offer. A 7 day hopper pass for everyone in the family. That's gotta be worth around $2 K.
