Jeff...Nice trip...Wish I could go. DD graduates HS this year, and although she has received full scholarships from 2 schools you know it will still cost us something and we don't know how much that will be until she makes her final decision in April. Damn books, I could print them myself for less

Never been to Kauai or Maui, although I've heard Maui is wonderful. Did you book a package or make your own package?

Maui is our favorite. We have been there six times. In fact in all of our Hawaii trips we have spent every day on Maui except for four that we spent on Kauai right before we had kids. So this time, we are ready to explore. We sort of put our own package together but we use a travel agent who is a Hawaii specialist as she has lots of insight, can get us great upgrades and additions etc. Read about her in Conde Nast Traveler and just cold called her before our last Hawaii trip and we love working with her.

We have lots of trains go by us everyday day and night. The tracks are hidden by the woods so you can only hear them.
About 6:30 this morning we had the pups out to relieve themselves and a train was passing by.
All of a sudden there was loud banging and sounds like a crash. A couple of the cars derailed.
The noise was so loud it shook the RV and boy the dogs ran right to the door and we trying to get inside as fast as they could.

Both came running to me and tried to get on my lap looking for comfort. Thats about 150 pounds of dog jumping on me!!
It was so funny to see. Now they dont want to go back outside.

Jeff, if you want to explore either Maui or Oahu, looking into private tours by Carey Limo. I have done them on both Maui and Oahu and they were amazing. They take you in a Escalade all around the islands. They will customize it so you can see everything you want to. We loved it because we hate taking a group tour and having to wait for everyone before you can leave. They even include lunch.

I am so stressed right now. I hate to get nasty with people!

I just got things straightened out with Directv. LONG story which I wont go into, but basically when we signed up they DID NOT tell us about a rebate we had to send in to keep our sign up deal, so they doubled our rates !!
I went through 2 customer service reps and kept asking for a supervisor and finally I got one after they told me it wouldnt do me any good.

It did. Its all taken care of and I have my sign up deal.
They thought I would back down, NO WAY!!

I knew it was there fault but didnt have any physical proof. I just kept insisting and finally she gave it to me. I was about to ask for her boss.

What a day. UGH!!!

This week has been hectic. Court started back up after the holidays and it has been packed. Plus, Staci has been getting the house back in order after 2 weeks of holiday time.

They said they did find our reservation for the Royal table and it was their fault.

They offered to give us another set of 7 day park hopper passes to come and "give them another chance"?

I told them I'd think about it tonight and to call me back tomorrow.

I'll probably take the tickets and then sell them on eBay to get some of my money back.
