morning all,
well we managed to get everything off both carpets downstairs so they can lay new carpets this morning, boy what a job that was!
this morning I have early morning errands to do, then back to work in my bedroom packing clothes for storage, and for what goes with us int he motorhome, what is thrown out and what is going to charity.
that is my goal today.

I was happy the weather stayed clear yesterday so the Wonder could have an outside sailaway party.

catch everyone later, got to run,

Kathy

Melanie,

In Grand Cayman and Cozumel, what kind of transportation did you use? Bus or taxi? There seems to be a HUGE difference in cost between the two.

Dawn, I am not Melanie but when we were there we stuck to taxis unless we were with an excursion, due to safety reasons.

Grand Caymen isnt too bad but parts of Cozumel can be pretty scary at times, at least what we saw was. tourist areas are great.

Dawn,
We used a taxi. We were just the two of us then, no children. But it seemed pretty safe, I saw families doing it as well.
I would agree with Cathy's assessment of Cozumel, but if stick to the main drag you will be fine. We took the taxi there to Chanakaab and then took it back and walked the shopping area along the pier. I would have felt uneasy going off the main drag there. But you can't miss "Ponchos Backyard" which is a great restaurant!

Thanks for the welcome!:goodvibes

It will be our 1st 7 day - DH suffered through WDW last fall and the cruise is his reward!:rotfl: Neither one of us had been to any of the western ports which is why we picked it. All kids care about is the pool, beach and kids club!

So Kathy do you bring that whip on cruises? Could come in handy - disobediant children, disobediant husbands.....:lmao:

Good luck with the moving - UG! I hate moving - love the new clean house thing but the rest is painful.

Believe me Michelle... Cathy knows how to weild that whip! You'll know it well before we actually take this trip!:rotfl:

Where is Ponchos Backyard? At the pier?

Yes, it is right near the pier as I recall. I was there before the hurricane but I assume it is still there as it was kind of a landmark. Good mexican food and margaritas!

Alright! This board is WAY to quiet! We need to find some more 09'ers to keep it at the top!

Hi Melanie! I have had a sick boy in the house since last Saturday evening. Thought he was getting better yesterday...I should have known...took him to the doctor today. He has a throat and sinus infection. I'm going to keep him home again tomorrow.

How have your two been? Jackson over his sick spell? Alex been healthy? I was lookiing at one of your posts when you said they would be 6 1/2 and 3 1/2--OMG! I can't believe that they would be that old! Listen to me, Skylar and Christian will both be 13! Heaven help me! :scared1:

Hi Brantley,
love your mickey icon relaxing under the sun:goodvibes Hows the basement disney room coming along??

going to be a nice sunny day here today. we will spend the day packing today and have some errands to run.

we have 2 people coming to possibly buy some things I put on craigs list that didnt sell at our moving sale, hopefully they will sell so we dont have to pack them or throw them out.

catch ya later,

Kathy

Hi Brantley!:wave2: Good to hear from you! I hope you'll join us in 2009! I don't think we got to talk much if at all on the last cruise. I'm hoping we can be a little more social on the next one since the kid's will be older. Jackson had us pretty tied up most of the time on the last one.

Dawn- They'll be that age when we cruise in 2009. They're 4 1/2 and 1 1/2 now. I know... I can't believe it either! Sorry to hear your house has sickies too. Jackson and Alex are both ok now... knock on wood. I'm hoping with the weather warming up now some of that will go away!!

Hey Guys,

We are all doing great. Hope you are too.

Kathy, the basement is is getting more and more disney stuff all of the time. Your coasters are sitting right beside the couch on the end table!!!!

Hope the house sale is going well for you guys. It sure does not look like the economy is going to turn around anytime soon :sad2:

Oh dear, I found us on the bottom of page two!:scared1: (Not that I've been doing anything to help out lately!!!!)

We've hired a crew to finish our basement, so I'm afraid our 2008 Nana-Head cabin is downstairs (not that the cabin on board wouldn't have been in the "basement"!!:rotfl2: ). . .of course, Shell & Wendy are working on Bill to reconsider!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Everything here is fine -- some of the snow is actually melting. Maybe spring is finally right around the corner. . .

Hi everyone,
gosh I have been so busy I havnt had time to say Hello. So I thought I'd better sto by for a minute before I am out the door this morning.

we are about to go look at a used car tow dolly for sale. we need 2 of them for the move. They cost as much to rent as they do to buy used, so at least if we buy them we can resell them and get most of our money back when we get to Oregon.

well got to run,

have a wonderful day everyone,

Kathy

Good morning Nanas!

Hi Brantley -- which Nana Head Reunion cruise will you be on??!!! (You aren't allowed to cruise at other times now that you're a Nana!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

Hi Mel -- How's everything with the business?

Hi Kathy -- good luck on your "shopping excursion"!!!

Hi Dawn -- I saw your post about the sporting goods expenditures -- Yikes!!!! It sure adds up, doesn't it??:teacher:

Have a wonderful day all!
