Good morning everyone.

Kathy, how is Minnie this morning after her ordeal the other night? Any word from your daughter?

Denise, most everyone is on Facebook. There are only a few of us diehards who keep posting here! I imagine we'll have to find us a new thread to post on soon so the cruisers who ARE going on this cruise can have their thread back.

Anyone heard from Dawn lately?

I got the tree and Christmas decorations taken down yesterday and the majority of the house cleaned up.

Janel and Chayce leave for Salt Lake City tomorrow, so they can catch their 6am flight down to Pasadena Thursday morning.

I guess some of her family are going to Disneyland while they're down there. I guess I should of kept those 7 day park hopper tickets Disney sent us ( I think they said they were good at Disneyland also?) but I threw them away.

I see my long lost son has peaked his head out of the dog house to say hello.
I thought we might have scared you away with all the Oregon winning the Rose Bowl talk around here. Thats when Shell disappeared

Hi Greg,

No baby yet Yesterday I talked with her and other than feeling uncomfortable there was NO other signs of the baby coming. Not sure which day her regular appointment is but he may decide to induce fi she hasnt delivered by then. They estimate the baby is around 9 pounds. Any larger will make for a really hard delivery. Rachel herself was 1/2 ounce under 9 pounds when she was born. I will let you know when I hear anything.


Minnie was grouchy yesterday and moving a bit slower than usual but today she seems better. She is snoring under her blanket at the moment. I swear she snores louder than Greg does

I havnt heard from Dawn for several weeks now. I use to get a short note now and then from her. Maybe I should send her a note to see how she is doing.


Well we are cold again 33 at the moment. They are still saying warmer days and rain for as far as they can forecast.

I need to make out a bill and mail it today plus turn in our winning lottery tickets to put in the vacation kitty. All of $10. They were stocking stuffers and between the 2 of us we got $10 and it only cost us $20 wrth of tickets to get it
Plus I just got another $100 check for my cash back on one of our credit cards. That is also vacation money. I love that card. I dont let it build up past $100. With all the problems banks are having I want my money so I get it every time it hits $100, just in case they go broke or something

Hi Bill: Its good to hear from you.....so what are your disney cruise plans?
coming with us on the 10-30-11 4 days with Christine? I'm doing that one... actually at this point Wally is coming along on this one also......we may have to do another reunion cruise!! I really need to try the new ship out.

Nothing else going on here.

Our rain has started.
First it was snow and rain mix, now its rain and some ice pellets.
we are 36 so who knows what we will get tonight

We are all rain now but many small towns around us have 2 to 4 inches of snow including my brothers house and my daughter who could have to get to the hospital any time now. Hope her roads clear up soon. Just in case

Morning all,

well we got tons of rainall night but out lying towns got snow all night which will melt off today.
I was hoping we would get a dusting so it would look pretty outside but no such luck. I guess all the snow was headed for Gregs house.

Still No grandbaby
Of course with snow at Rachels house I didnt want her to arrive last night!!


Not much else happening today. Pretty quiet.

Greg, Tell Janel to have a great time!! At least she should be warm and toasty while your freezing

Yeah, looks like Janel and Chayce will have about 70 degree tempts in Pasadena.

It started snowing last night and is still snowing now. We've gotten about 4 inches of fluffy powder so far.

I was thinking about going up to Yellowstone for New Years with the other kids, but with it snowing like this we'll probably stay home.

I'll check in later.....

Afternoon:

Well I am down to offically 1 full day of work left!!!! Its actually been on the quiet side..... So trying to get lose ends tied up here.

Oh I do have to say, I was just on the disneystore site and I bought Izzy the cutiest Pink dress, along with princess shoes and a little white fur chubby coat with a pink bow......its sooo darling.....she can ware it for her first birthday. One of the other ladies I work with ordered 2 little fur chubbys for her grandaughters......its was really fun here first things this morning.

well gotta run and get some work done...... I guess that's what I get paid for!!!

Well everyones snow here is gone due ot the rain. We had sun for just an hour or so earlier today now its raining again. So glad I got the pups out before it started raining again.

Hard to believe just those few miles from here Janel will have great weather.
I was worried their flight might get delayed if your weather was too bad.

Just heard from Rachel and she is still feeling good, nopains or signs of the baby coming yet. Maybe the original due date will be right. New Years day


Going to make nachos for dinner tonight.
I have laundry drying that I will have to walk over in the rain to get. Not looking forward to that.

Greg gets off early tomorrow and is looking forward to it as much as you are.
Those long weekends are so nice. I have been looking at lots of baby clothes too but since Rachel has 2 other kids I cant spoil one without getting each of them something. Accept for the baby gift i already gave her.

I did have fun when I only had one grandkid and it was a girl. I bought so much stuff it was crazy and i loved every minute of it!!

Good morning.

Janel just called to tell me that they made it to Los Angeles and security at the airport wasn't as bad as they feared.

They got their rental car and are headed to the hotel in Pasadena. I was able to get them a hotel on the parade route with a balcony room, so they can watch the parade from their room.

Still overcast here today. Looks like it could snow again any minute. I'm glad we decided not to go up to Yellowstone because the roads going up North are terrible.

Glad they got there with no problems. I will be watching the parade on TV. Then of course the game in the afternoon

I am sure you were smart not to go to Yellowstone. Lots more snow coming all over the country this weekend.

Afternoon all:

So what is everyone's plans for tonite?

I'm going out for an early dinner and then a movie....going to see Sherlock Holmes.....

Not much else going on here.....I had a flat tire this morning Not sure what that was all about. One of the girls I work with, came in and said your car is croocked (sp)?? So I take a little trip outside and sure enough a flat front tire. So I drove across the street and filled it with air....so far so good....

Well everyone have a very safe, warm, and happy New Years......I will talk with all of your next year!!!

Been kind of a slow day here. Kids have been playing Wii and watching TV. We watched the latest Harry Potter movie, not bad but not the best Potter movie either.

I think I'll take the kids out for pizza tonight and then we'll see how many of them can stay awake until midnight.

Sherlock Holmes looks like a good show Janel wants to see it and Avitar when she gets back from LA.

Greg, good luck with keeping them up to midnight. Mine use to try but not much success until they got to their teens. I finally got wise and everyone had to change clothes by their regular time. When they start too look sleepy I made them brush their teeth. Then I threw blankets on them right where they fell to sleep at. No way was I breaking my back picking them up!!


We got pizza tonight too. Our local pizza place was closing down for good. Today was their last day and Pete got over there 5 minutes before they closed, so we just lucked out. But not much choices of crusts or toppings. Which makes sense but he got a god one anyway.
As long as I didnt have to cook, it was good

I was just going to cook up some cube steak sandwiches.

Pretty quiet in our neighborhood. We never get noises like people in town do. I am glad because poor pixie would be terrified like she was on July 4th at my moms.

Greg and Peter put on The 300 movie. I dont like those kinds of movies, but they never ask before they put it on. Then they tell me they will take it off and play something else. But then I feel guilty and tell them no, just watch it.
I try to ignore it but in this place its kinda hard to do. I dont like the gory scenes. The story is ok. Just not the special effects are a bit much.

Well I can officially say that I am going on a crusie next year!!!!

Had a very nice evening.....we went to Olive garden for dinner...then to the show. Sherlock Holmes was very good....I really enjoyed it.....but I always like Robert Downy anyway......

Today Wally and Jimmy are coming over for dinner.....
Making a stuffed chicken with all the fixin's.....yummy.......
