I can book our LLs on Friday and it's my first time. It's just my 20yo DS and myself for a mother/son trip and he barely remembers going to WDW. However, we have a multi-family trip later this month, so I'm trying to relearn the ropes. We are going to AK on Friday for a little bit and probably won't get LL, unless someone convinces me otherwise. Saturday we're going to HS (he's stoked for Star Wars) and Sunday we'll do Epcot (GoG). We're both pretty easy going, but I can't stand for too long in lines (thanks neuropathy).

If you were going to AK, HS, & Ep next weekend, which LLMPs/LLSPs would you buy? LLSP GoG: $17, LLMP Ep: $19, LLSP RoR: $24, LLMP HS: $27
It's not inconceivable to do all of those, but what would you rope drop?
Staying at Dolphin, so EE from International Gateway. Probably Single Rider Remy

We usually buy all the things, but from your list, we find LLSP for Guardians and Rise to save a bunch of time, and our favorite rides are at DHS, so we would definitely get LLMP there. For Epcot, if you buy LLSP for GoG and are willing to single rider Test Track and rope drop Remy, you can probably get by without LLMP there.

You can definitely do AK without LLMP, but you might consider LLSP for Flight of Passage if you want to ride that (unless you will be there for rope drop) since you can't stand for long periods.

Thanks! That's super helpful!
I'm getting a little nervous. haha

The other crazy-long line at Epcot is Frozen Ever After. But perhaps you don't care about this ride. If so, the above-mentioned strategies will work.

I'm not planning on buying the LLMP at epcot because there are single rider lines for both test track and Remy, and you can rope drop frozen.
This was our strategy last week and it worked out perfectly! We arrived on the Skyliner and walked to Frozen and even though it was 25 mins after ETPE began we walked right on to Frozen. Now that there are 4 choices of headliners for ETPE, it really spreads out the crowds and Frozen seems to be the least popular to rope drop of the 4.

I always get a Guardians LLSP at Epcot. I think that's well worth it, plus I think the normal queue is loud and uncomfortable. I don't think you need LLMP now that Remi is using single rider. I used to think it was worth it just for Frozen, Remi, and Soarin, but now I don't.

If DS has never seen Galaxy's Edge at Studios, I would get a LLSP for RotR. The ride breaks down somewhat often, so trying to use the standby line can be hit or miss. I don't anymore, but this seems like a special enough occasion for it.

LLMP at Studios is tough. They have a lot of top tier attractions, but as a result, you often can't get them even if you have LLMP. Slinky Dog especially is tough to get. Since it's the first time in a while for DS, I'll say get it if he likes all the thrill rides, like Tower of Terror and RnRC.

If you plan on spending all day at AK, I don't think you need anything. I'll sometimes get a LLSP for Flight of Passage if I only have a morning there, but there's plenty of time to hit everything in one day.

For rope drop:

AK: If you have resort early entry and want to take the very first bus over to AK, then do Flight of Passage. If not, either do Navi River Journey or the Safari. Everest and Dinosaur lines don't get really long until closer to lunch, while the Flight of Passage line tends to die down in the afternoon.

Studios: Do whatever you can't get a lightning lane for. RoTR, Tower of Terror, and Slinky Dog tend to have the longest lines all day, while Mickey and Minnie's, Rockin Roller Coaster, Midway Mania, and Smuggler's run will have more reasonable waits later.

Epcot: Guardians, Test Track, and Frozen are all good options if you are entering through the front gate. Definitely do Remi's if you're entering through International Showcase. I'd probably prioritize Frozen, since it doesn't have single rider or LLSP.

Good call on AK… I would NOT use Lightning Lane for AK to be honest. That’s a park I would rope drop, especially for Avatar. I would also rope drop Test Track if you’re doing that since it just reopened and there may still be crowds.

Thanks all! This really helped me in deciding. Lots of great advice! I ended up getting LLMP & SP for both Ep & HS because this is a special occasion and I figure if all I save is 20 minutes here and there, that's more time to sit and enjoy a treat!

HS: RotR 10:50am, ToT 11:50, TSM 12:50, & SDD 2pm
We also have a break at Oga's at 3pm.
So, I'm trying to decide on early morning strategy. I may want to swap ToT for something earlier like MMRR or RnR at 10:05am. OR if we should just take it all in and explore. I'm actually leaning towards the latter. BUT we may get caught up in the hype and switch to commando mode. haha What would you do first thing?
When do you think is the best time to just explore Galaxy's Edge?

Ep: MS 9:20, TT 10:20, Soarin' 11:20 & GoG 12:20
EE from IG - Rope Drop Remy, possibly walk to Frozen. Then hit the end of MS window and beginning of TT. Head over to Figment or LWTL, then Soarin' LL. Grab a bite somewhere in there and then GoG. Spend the afternoon/evening in World Showcase.
Do you think you miss much if you do single rider at Remy? It's a first ride for both of us, so if the queue is amazing, I don't want to miss it, but we'd be ok skipping.

If you rope drop Remy from the IG, then I would not do single rider. You just have to be in the line to get into Epcot early. I think it depends on how you feel with the neuropathy and how the day goes. I would play by ear and see how the crowd in that day.

ToT is Tier 2; MMRR and RnR are Tier 1. You already have a Tier 1 booked (SDD), so you can't swap (modify) ToT for MMRR or RnR until you have already tapped into one of your LLMP attractions. Since ToT is your first-scheduled LLMP, you'd have to make other changes to make that happen.

I think you should be able to do Remy and Frozen and get to MS well before the end of your 9:20-10:20 window. You might get there by the beginning of your window.

I love Guardians Cosmic Rewind and buy that LLSP because I wouldn’t regret using it for a second ride even if we happened across a short wait time as well. It is by far the best attraction ever! Seriously! IMHO of course.

We’ve yet to buy LLSP for RotR. That’s due to a combo… we’ve ridden it enough times that if we couldn’t manage riding without waiting 70+ minutes we wouldn’t feel bad skipping, and usually find manageable wait times later in the day/evening. And being such a long experience between 17 min ride and long queue, it’s a large time investment that most people do not opt to try twice in a day, which I think helps with wait times. But if I only had one day? Then LLSP might be worth knowing you gave yourself the best chance to ride. It is amazing!

FoP at AK - alot of people feel this will save more time than buying LLMP at AK. But that can easily be bypassed by planning to ride near park close. Not sacrificing much since AK doesn’t have a night show. The risk is the ride going down. Not common at park close though.

I wouldn’t bother with TRON LLSP either. It’s alot of $ for 100 second ride, money that I feel better spent on LLMP at MK. I’d try to rope drop, during fireworks or toward the end, or right before close.
