:bday: Cheri party:

Welcome back Dawn :cool1: Wow...I would love to spend 17 days in WDW.

Not much going on here. We had a busy night at the Cafe last night. We hosted a band night for the local High School and promised to donate 20% of our sales to them. Needless to say, they will be getting a very nice donation:thumbsup2 . Instead of spending tons of money on advertising, we have decided to support the local schools. I think people really respond to stuff like that plus we get to help them out...and we all know the schools need as much help as they can get:goodvibes.

OK, here's another question of the day:

What is your favorite all time song (I am sure this was asked before but we have lots of new people so I'm asking it again:p) ?

Mine is "Paradise by Dashboard Light" I :love:this song. If they play this on the cruise watch out because I dance like a fool to this. My second favorite is of course "I Will Survive". These are the only two songs I will sing Karoke to because I know every word to them.

Picture of the Day (:cheer2: I'm finally up to Castaway Cay):

They even decorate the tram for Christmas.

Happy belated Birthday Cheri!
:bday:
If that's all the monkey's you have then you're doing better than I am!!
(Remind me not to tell Bill how old I am!)

Welcome back Dawn! Wow that was quite a vacation! I bet it's hard to get back into the swing of things after that!!

Welcome back to Kathy too! Kathy I visited the other board the other day out of curiosity and saw that you really don't have much action there. I do like the "family" message board over there because they sometimes have good ideas for traveling with kids. But you don't dare mention kids on other parts of that board because those people can get nasty!!:headache:

i know what you mean.
I have had one lady that seems to like to pick on me ever since I stated how disappointed I was last year when DCL removed the live band on the Wonder and replaced it with a DJ. She came unglued on me and ever since then she posted rude remarks to some of my posts where I answer peoples questions. I know that someone turned her in twice because her post disappeared and one time she was very rude to a first time poster who asked a basic question and I reported her. Now I havnt seen her for along time so perhaps she was banned.
I have given people on the meets thread my e-mail and asked them to write me so I could tell them about this thread but only one has responded. I dont know if she will post but I did invite her and she is going to try and come to the meet.

It is a whole different attitude there but I have found a few nice people and brought them to the dis boards so it is worth hanging out there a few times a week.

gosh I forgot to post my picture of the day. I
d better get with it,

Kathy

:bday: Happy Birthday Cheri!

Kathy, How was the flight!? :scared1: Both moms doing great I hope! And of course the rest of the family.

While I was gone my father and friend went to Colorado. Because he sat to long on the flight he got a blood clot in his leg, was in the hospital for 2 days. On medication but doing OK. And guess what! He left me a message on the phone so I wouldn't worry on the trip. Typical parent! I'd probably do the same thing.

I know, I know I could go back and READ 50 PAGES!!! but what did everyone decide to do for excursions. A run down please. Kathy, did you decide what Greg and you are going to do? Bill and Shell are you going to do Victor's tour on St. Maarten. I know you and Kim were discussing the boating thing. The boys and all signed up to do Sunny Liston's tour on St. Thomas but that's all I've decided about. Would like to do a Palo brunch...anyone else going to sign up for this? When?

Talk to you guys later!:banana::banana::banana:

Dawn-
We signed up for Palo brunch on Monday at 10:30:banana: I think it is.

We also are doing the "under 2 flags tour" in St. Maarten and then we're just going to go the beach that's near the dock probably. For St. Thomas we are doing the Magen's Bay Beach Bash, but I am not 100% sure I'm keeping that or not because it goes from 9-4 and I'm afraid it might be too long for the boys.

Kathy-
That's too bad:mad: somebody was treating you that way because I thought you have always been a real resource on that board. I know you were very helpful to me a couple of times when I was first considering DCL! I remember when you were posting about the live music. Did anything ever happen with that? Is it still not live?

Melanie

Dawn,
we will decide and book excursions this weekend and I will post our decisions then.
Yes everyone was doing great and I did manage to surprize my mom.

Melanie, No permanent changes with the music. many are still writing on the comment cards to get back the steel drum band. I read about it from time to time on different boards. I did hear from someone i know who worked the entertainment area of the ship and they said certain duos who were very popular have been invited back but they have not come back they have been too busy doing other gigs. Hopefully they will get more live music on the Wonder soon.

Christine, a favortie song. Wow there are so many to choose from.
maybe I will pick Love Potion #9 It is a golden oldie now, just like me.:rotfl2:

kathy

Christine-
I had to think about my favorite song. I don't think I have one favorite.

So I went and looked on my itunes here at work to see what was "most played"

#1- Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet.
#2- Rocky Mountain High by John Denver:hippie: (This one surprised me!)
#3- Three Little Birds by Bob Marley

Go figure. Not my favorites of all time, but my most listened to when I'm trying to keep myself up at work!

Also in the top bunch "Are you gonna be my girl" by Jet and "This will be (an everlasting love)" by Natalie Cole

So there you have it!

Hello, everyone!

Our stupid Internet has been down at home, so I'm almost berserk! Then, when I went on boards today, it was DOWN!!!!!!!!!! Pitiful...I've become a very Dis-dependent person. :confused3 So, sue me!

Today was incredibly busy at school...I guess the storm sitting off our coast has everyone's panties in a wad.:lmao:

Judy, let's meet for a drink!!!:rolleyes1

Evening all. Grabbed a pizza for dinner because it took us a couple of hours to fill the list the teachers sent home on Wednesday to be filled by tomorrow! A major pet peeve!

Christine, I think my favorite songs have changed thru the years. Artists come to mind more than A song. Sonny and Cher; Chicago; Carpenters are ones that come to mind from my teenage years. Brad Paisley is one of my more current favorites. I listed mostly to Disney tapes now. I've worn out the Music for the Parks CD. Sorry, Disney penetrates my life. :confused3

Melanie, I thought about the 2 Flags Tour. But a couple have commented that it depends on what driver you have and it is in a closed air bus (hard to see). But I haven't crossed it off my list yet though. Kathy, mentioned earlier in the boards that she wasn't impressed but it was OK. Anyone else been on this tour. Brunch Monday at sea...sounds good to me!

Back later. Big Brother on tonight. I can't wait for the fall programming!
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Bad, bad Woo. I just walked in the door and Mutt said, "Uh, busy day?" I said, "Yeah, how'd you know?", he said, "Because you didn't post all day!".

OK, so let's see ... favorite songs. Hmmm ... so many to choose from. Here's a few that come to mind:
Changes in Attitudes, Changes in Latitudes - Jimmy Buffet
Centerfield - John Fogerty
I Stay Away and Would? - Alice in Chains
And just about anything The Who ever did

Christine, once again we are thinking along the same lines ... I just put Bat Out of Hell in my car like 2 weeks ago and have been jamming to it! (Meat Loaf had poofy sleeves in the video, y'know :rotfl2: )

Josh....keep at those books.....maybe you won't just be an engineer...you could find yourself being on the imagineer team!

Wow, I never thought of that... what a great idea. :thumbsup2 Do they make nuclear-powered cruise ships? :confused3 :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
That would be cool, I hope they get good perks.

So I got my car back. HAd to get it fixed for a TCC Solenoid. If you don't know what that is AWESOME!!!! I don't either. Costs me a million dollars.
Nah, it's for the torque of the engine... and the transmission.

OMG...you're right. See, I am all about the poof:banana:

:bday: Cheri!

Josh...I can relate...my van is costing me millions of dollars lately:rolleyes:

Hey Dawn what did you think of Big Brother tonight?

Melanie it nice to see your youngest eats just like my youngest does:lmao: :lmao:

Okay today was tough...the first day of school for my oldest! The past 5 year flew by so quick...the coolest thing happened when we got home from school though...the mailman had Mickey ears for her that we won in the YOMD postcard contest. She was so excited!

Have a great night everyone!

HI everyone!        Thanks for the birthday wishes!:grouphug:

Great pictures, everyone! Melanie, I can't wait to see your little cuties in person!!

Shell -- Alice in Chains was Bill's favorite band way back in his 30's! And what's not to love about Meatloaf??!! Jessalyn also likes listening to Bat Out of Hell 2 (whatever that CD is called).

As for me. . .dunno. . .I like to tune into the 80's hair band station on Sirius radio.:rolleyes1 I'll have to get back to you on that. . .

Six miles Bill??? Wow! I'm VERY impressed!!!:thumbsup2

Dawn -- no excursions for us! We'll get to a few casinos on St. Maarten (always an adventure!) and perhaps go on our own to Sapphire Beach on St. Thomas.

Talk to you later!

Cheri

Oh, what kind of friend am I????

:bday: C H E R I :bday:

It's been on my mind for days, but then I forgot it on the most important day!

Aw shucks, getting to talk to you as my junky cell phone cut in and out was present enough!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Happy Friday morning everyone,

Who has plans for the weekend?

No real plans here, maybe a movie. popcorn::

I must have jet lag, I just cant seem to get myself motivated to get busy around here.

Lets have some more great photos around here:thumbsup2

Kathy

Hi!:goodvibes

I am trying to figure out the ports of call...

When we dock in St. Thomas are we within walking distance of the shops?

When we dock in St.Marteen can we take a water taxi to a public beach? Is there anything to see close to the ship...within walking distance?

Also we are trying to figure out the dining...the CM at DCL said because of my dd's ages I will probably be eating at 8:00pm...so I think that means I will be at PC on formal night...maybe I should try to go to Palo's that night...what do you think? The menu looks good for PC but not sure if I want to eat there all dressed up:goodvibes

How do you add pictures to post? Can't seem to get it working:confused3

Thanks.
