Morning everyone,
boy it was HOT yesterday.
we spent a good deal of the afternoon in the pool. it really felt refreshing:goodvibes we introduced Pixie to the pool. Of course she can swim but doesnt have any stamina at this time so we just held her and put feet in the water and then set her on a float so she was getting wet but not over her head and of course Greg helpd on to her. She loved that.
Today we will work with her a little more. Mostly we want her to know where the steps are, so if she falls in if we arnt around she will be able to get out ok. We keep a child proof fence up unless we are in the pool, but we figured it is still a good idea to teach her.
Minnie is terrified of the water, so she wont go near it.

Well I am going to try to watch the Wonder pull out this evening. I miss watching the Magic go out on saturdays.

we still havnt decided on excursions, we need to get through this next cruise first, then can concentrate on the next cruise.

Hope everyone is having a great day,

kathy

Mornin everyone. I cant believe I'm up and typing this early but I am.

Woo's right, the Golden Eagle was a blast. I dont think anyone had anything but praise for the excursion. The only negative was the jellyfish. They were very very small but they were a nuisance. The crew of the GE said it was really unusual and commented that he'd never had an experience like that so I'm guessing it was a fluke. Aside from that, though.... it really brought to mind a true caribbean getaway. No Margaritavilles, no Hard Rock Cafes, just the island and the ocean. So cool. Wow, that was deep for 8am. I need to go back to bed...ugh.

Anyways...have a good day, everyone. (btw, I had yet another ship dream...I really need to wake up and actually be on the dog-gone thing some day).

pluto:

PS... WHERES MY VISUAL IDEAS? I need you guys to come up with some...we have bananas, obviously, monkeys....silouettes of the magic? turkeys? gimme some ideas, kids.... I'm having a time of it.

Bill,
I will give it some serious thought today and see if I can come up with any ideas for the shirts.
I am not good at these kind of things but i will ask Greg and Peter too.:thumbsup2

Jeff,
your pictures came out great. The kids all look so cute!!
Thans for sharing them.

well everyone is in the pool accept me and the dogs, they are sleeping and I am having lunch. Greg,Peter and Catherine are all cooling off. It is 95 and NO breeze right now. Way too hot for me!!

Pretty quiet around here today, not too many posts today.
Hope more of you will post soon,

kathy

Thanks Kathy
I'm here because I have been fighting some kind of bug all week and lost about 2 days of work from it so despite the rest of the gang heading to the local farm/orchard's Strawberry Festival I am here trying to catch up on some writing. Taking periodic breaks to check in here, but back to the salt mines. :rotfl2:

We were waiting for AP rates for our August jaunt to WDW but so far they are not out. I had originally booked offsite at the Marriott Grande Lakes but yesterday checked into AAA rates and found that to be pretty competitive with the Marriott rates so right now we are moved to the Yacht Club for the five nights we are there. So glad to be back at our favorite area with SAB, walking distance to Epcot and the Boardwalk as our backyard. :cool1:

Jeff,
I love the hotels around the Boardwalk area. We often go to MGM and then walk the trail along the river and go around the loop by the Yacht and beach Club and swan and dolphin and such and then wind up at the back door into Epcot. Then we do Epcot and walk around the worlds and then walk back to MGM to get our car.
If we get tired we just take the boat back. But that is rare. The way we do it, it amounts to around 6 miles.
I love the tall water slide that looks like a wrecked ship. We took the grandkids there once and they had a blast!!:woohoo:

Hope you dont get as  as I did. I was in bed for a week and then another week to get stronger before I could do anything.
So please take it as easy as you can.

kathy

J&Cs Mom - 45 minutes Southeast of Philly has you about West Chester? or further down? I am about 45 minutes northwest of Philly, in Quakertown.

:

Wow!! You are good....I work in West Chester...:woohoo:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend-we have cloudy skys but no rain...yet...Weather Channel has us as possible thunder storms every day this week :scared1: Bad for my DH's lawn care business

Hey Josh,
I saw the shuttle launch from our family room, it was maybe 10 seconds after lift off when it showed up in our view.:woohoo:

Yeah, I saw it on the internet. Right now, I'm watching the shuttle dock to the ISS! So cool!

Hey everyone....

great pics of the kids! The adults didn't look so bad either. Its funny how you get used to certain things such as certain people at certain times on the ship. I always seemed to catch Steve and Pat on deck 9 near the drink stations in the morning. I miss you guys.

Anyways....just wanted to take a breather. I rented a jackhammer and broke up my concrete porch today... I can't WAIT to find out what I feel like tommorow morning. :rolleyes1

pluto:

I did my part today Kathy....no whippins for the mutt today.

btw...we finally went to see the last POTC movie last night....ehhh.

:

Bill - That's one of the reasons I am going to miss Kelly and Don on the next cruise. We saw them EVERYWHERE. We were at Palo at the same time for both brunch and dinner. Ran into them in Shutters, at the show, on deck 4. Everywhere. It won't be the same without em.

WOW,
what a thunderstorm we just had!!!
It lasted about 45 minutes which is unheard of. they are usually 20 minutes.
Of course it hit just as the dogs were about to "GO" outside for a little private time;) So they didnt go.
They both squirmed around the house until it let up, I was sure Pixie would just go, but she didnt. I was a proud mommy!!

Bill you and Jeff both did REAT on posting today:thumbsup2
But where is Shell at??

Gee Jeff, we saw you all over the place too, but do you remember that NO:lmao: They do say your mind will block out painful or bad memories, maybe that's why you dont remember running into us:rotfl2:

catch everyone later, going to watcha movie now.
PLEASE no details of the POC movie, we havnt got to see it yet, thanks,

kathy

Hi all, well we are back, Kathy sorry we missed you. We were able to see the shuttle launch at Epcot it was exciting. I will post some pics later on for all to see.
Gotta go wash, talk with ya soon

Hi Wendy,

Glad to hear you had a great trip!!:thumbsup2

We just got back from Jessalyn's baseball game. Weather was spectacular -- and the kids are making some improvements (this is the "instructional league" so it isn't REAL baseball).

Bill, I think yellow will be great (Jess' team has yellow jerseys so we know she'll look o.k.!). Not sure about graphics for you -- obviously something to go along with the whole nana-head thing.

Jeff -- awesome pictures! Hope the next 5 1/2 months go by quickly! (well, I don't want to rush through summer, just the fall and start of cold weather.)

I ran my first race since mid-March (that horrible 20K trail run) yesterday. This was SUPPOSED to be a 5K (3.1 mi), but the actual distance was about 3.7 miles!:scared1: I lucked out and finished as the 2nd overall female so I picked up $50! I made a $25 profit when you take away the entry fee. Maybe if I can do that every weekend until the cruise, I can buy our way out of steerage!!!:confused3 :confused3

Well, better go help DH get supper/dinner ready-- whatever you call the evening meal!

Talk to you later!!

Cheri

Wendy,
glad your home safely. Sorry to hear your son got
Things were just crazy here all week, but maybe next time things will be more normal and we can get out to see ya.

Time to get ready for bed, so will catch everyone tomarrow,

kathy

Good morning everyone,
hope you all had a good weekend.
Ours was way too hot! 95 the past 2 days :scared:

well I watched the Wonder pull out last night. But nothing else happeninf right now.

I need to take Minnie in for a booster shot this morning, but then will stay inside because of the heat.

Hope we see a few posts around here today,

kathy

Good morning to you, too. I am off to close up my classroom today- lots of packing in the next two days since we are moving to a new building for a year while they renovate our old one.
Rachel is off on her mission trip for a week and Kayla is enjoying her first day of summer as a rising junior- so she is, of course... asleep.
Trying hard to not over plan a trip that isn't until Nov. but love to plan, plan, plan. Think I may join the Doubloon snorkle instead of a private trip in St. Johns... gotta save money for my spa massage and rainforest day- girls want to jetski, too!
Have a great day... will check the thread later today, I know!:beach: :beach:
Judy

Can someone please carry me from room to room today.....that jackhammer took its toll on me.

G'mornin everyone.... I'm keeping up on my posting so I dont get the whippins....

Don't worry, Judy...most everyone here is a planner (not me, but everyone else). I think the majority is just counting down until we hit 90 days out so they can snap up all the reservations. Still wondering if we should do the Palo brunch, dinner or both. I think we're going to opt out of the dinner part this year but who knows.

Have a good day, everyone.
