11/22/08 Thanksgiving 2008 cruise thread. Double Dipping Travelling Turkeys!

Okay I got confirmation that they are doing the Western with the dinner in the same restaurant twice.

This is the one I know for sure
8:15pm seating will be as follows APPLAPL with character breakfast for that rotation is on the 3rd Sea Day at 9:45am (My note is that Sunday is Considered Sea Day 1)

The others are PLLAPLA and LAAPLAP but I do not know which is 8 and which is 8:30 for sure.

Hope that is helpful to whoever needed it.

Also, just checked and most of the GTY rooms still are not assigned yet.

You can put a request in for the 8:15 time if that is the rotation you want. Easier to get it now then when you are on the ship.

I just looked at our ressies and the only problem is the character breakfast will crash right into our Dolphin Swim in Cozumel which is scheduled for 10:15.

Judy, I believe Sponge Bob lives in a pineapple under the sea. Of course, he could have moved and I haven't received my change of address card yet, ha ha!!

He does live in a pineapple. That's his house, but his town is called Bikini Bottom!

You know what really stinks? ...having a chocolate addiction and Halloween right before the cruise. MIL got a really good deal on bags of fun size candy bars and sent some over for us. I'm weak.

I got my bracelets too!! The toddler one is just so adorable, I had to put it on DS and let him run around with it. DD put hers on to and he kept going over and looking at hers then inspecting his. Too cute!!!! Thanks Cindy!!

Gas is down to $2.81 today just in time to fill up for the weekend, I think I'll wait until tomorrow just to see if it goes down more. Wednesday it dropped from $2.99 to $2.89 in the middle of the day.

The character breakfasts are on sea days, or in this case Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. You can go to the breakfast and swim with Flipper.

I'm getting everything that I want! It's like a really good Christmas when you were a kid and you got the Rockem' Sockem' Robots you always wanted AND a sled. And then you looked in your stocking and there was a plastic horse statue with a plastic saddle and bridle that you could take off and put back on. (until you broke the saddle hookie thing and it never was the same again) Anyway, it's just like that, I've got the same feeling! I bet this is what everyday is like for a rich princess.

Check out the ticker thing on my post. When I started, the first dolphin was crashing into the bow of my ship. Now it's way behind my aft part. Neat..... that means time is really passing and we're getting closer and closer!

Aren't there only 2 sea days on this cruise since it is a western? Also, unless they changed it back, I believe the current version of the character breakfast eliminated them coming to every table for pictures, but I am not sure if that is still the case. We skipped the last couple after Disney made the change, though some people like the new version better...personal choice there.

Also Judy, the Crashing dolphins remind me too much of the stock market lately!!

Now I'm confused! Do they come to any tables, or just a few? DH doesn't like the characters hanging on him! I think last year Pooh sent him over the edge at Crystal Palace! If they don't bother him a lot he'll like it a lot better. Personally I love it! Do you know what characters they have other than Mickey and Minnie? Do they ever send Hook around? I love a good villain - they are too few and far between!

You are so reassuring! Have you figured out this dining rotation/character breakfast thing??

The old version for the character breakfast was where each of 5-6 characters came to each table. The new version had them doing some song and dance in the aisles, but not coming to each table for pictures any more.

Michelle had in her post that she thought they were counting Sunday as the "1st sea day" so the character breakfasts would be on Sun, Mon, and Thurs.

I believe that the breakfast is back to its original form, the characters going to each table. The "Island Jam" breakfast was pretty much a mosh pit and little kids were almost getting trampled by the bigger kids. The most recent posts have said its back to the original way. I see if I can link a thread or two.

You are correct that there are only two Sea Days, but they count Sunday typically Key West as a Sea Day on the Western as far as the Character Dining.

I loved the new format (Island Jam) but I will check and see what it is. I know the new Entertainment crew will be on the ship when we get there.

I am going to make myself crazy trying to chart this all out. I should just go with the flow and let it all be a surprise. Just so my date with a dolphin isn't compromised I'll be fine!

I was not sure if they were counting Sunday this time b/c it is a double dip which means getting to CC earlier than we would usually arrive in Key West, but we preferred the old way mainly b/c Lisa liked to get pictures with all the characters.
