Yes, you can order creme brulee even if it's not on the menu. Just let your waiter know any special requests that you have the first night. In March we were able to have escargot and shrimp as appetizers every night!! :thumbsup2

Lisa

Thanks for the answer. I thought you might be able to do that but wanted to check with some old pros! Boy is my waiter gonna hate me!!
The best creme brulee, hands down has got to be the citrus creme brulee at Coral Reef in Epcot. I love that place!
Halloween candy, eh Linda? Stefanelli's sponge candy, Whoppers and circus peanuts! And candy corn. And Twizzlers. Almond Joy and Mallo Cups. And a diet Pepsi chaser.
Speaking of waiters, on our last cruise (Wonder 4 day, Nov 05) our head waiter was very scary. He was about 8 feet tall and looked mean - especially on Pirate night. He was probably a big sweetheart but I was too intimidated to talk!
Yes, boarding my dog is a very traumatic time. I know when I walk out of the kennel he probably shouts "Party!" and has a great time. But I do miss him terribly. I'll tell ya all a little secret. When we did our vow renewal, I had his picture and a lock of his tail hair in my pocket! Shhh. Don't tell anyone because they might think I'm weird or something. But once a Golden Retriever owns you, it's all over. Lexington and Louie will be together this trip which is nice. I wish the Wonder/Magic would allow dogs. I know some Cunard ships do.
Cats. We have to deal with that too. But our DS best friend will do cat duty. Two more mice in the back yard tonight. That brings the total mice/mole count since Sunday to 9!!! It's that damn Walter. He's a serial killer!
Shell - You need to stop and watch Sponge Bob. It's a riot. I love it when he is trying to learn how to drive. It's one of our favorite shows here!

Hi everyone,
alot has happened here since my last post. I love the question of the day idea. Samoas coconut rum AND the mouse? You are truly my kind of folks. :yay:

Anyone have a pet (pets) spending thanksgiving in the kennel? :dog: We have a French Bull Dog (Louie) who will be going to the kennel for the first time. The way DH is acting, you'd think we were selling him for vivisection. I keep telling DH that as long as someone plays with Louie (and who could resist?) he won't give us a second thought. Judy is boarding Lex there too. We have a sassy little Cockatiel named Larry who gets boarded a a bird store, but he's an old pro at it.

If I may ask a question for today, what is your favorite Halloween candy? If I had to choose just one, I guess it would have to be Mallow Cups.

Linda

We have Snickers who is a 3 year old half beagle half blue heeler. She is an intense dog, always wanting petted. She and our cat Sugar go to the pet resort. The dogs have themed suites with heated tile floors, big windows, and tvs. She gets the Mickey Suite this time. The cat gets a dorm room.

Favorite Halloween candy, lets see the baby and I ate a whole big box of Dots in the last 48 hours so I guess right now that's at the top of my list. My "normal" non-pregnant candy would be Heath bars or Peanut Butter cups but chocolate and pregnant with me don't mix.

I'm planning on having a pet sitter come and check on our cat every other day. My mom usually feeds Tigger and gets the mail while we're away, but she's going on the cruise with us. That reminds me, I'll have to stop the mail and newspaper. Another thing to add to my list of things to do before the cruise.

Halloween candy? I think Almond Joy is my favorite, but I also like peanut M&Ms.

Judy, guess that shows you how much attn I pay to Sponge Bob!! When it's on, all my kids (that includes DH) are glued to the TV, completely entertained. I just keep on walking! Bikini Town sounds like Hooters!

That sounds just like my house. I have a heck of a time getting them out the door on Sunday morning, all four of them are sitting there watching Sponge Bob instead of getting ready for church.

It was a prohibited show at my house when the kids were smaller because of the Bikini Bottom reference, then DH thought he should watch it and see what it was all about. It was downhill from there.

No pets here due to son's allergies, but that will change once we rip out the carpet on the second floor...then allergist has approved a cockapoo.

Steph (imsomaha) and I just realized today that including this weekend, there are only five more weekends to shop and get ready for our cruise. I don't know if I should be petrified or REALLY happy?:rotfl: That makes it sound like it really is almost here. My DD and I went to Kansas City tonight for dinner and I drug her to Michael's and Party America for some more FE shopping. I have no clue how I'm getting this FE stuff to Florida.:confused3 I might need to charter my own plane for all of the stuff I'm going to be packing!:lmao: My DH about croaked when he saw I was taking nine suitcases/bags on our first 7 night cruise. I hate to even think about what he's going to say this time.

9 suitcases? My wife has competition...seriously, though, half the stuff never gets worn...as to the FE stuff, if you are staying over the night before, fedex it to yourself, or potentially to someone who is driving...lots of Florida residents here.

Good Saturday morning to all!
Five more weekends makes me realize I've got to get some things done! I still have to do on-line booking. Today I go through all of my summer clothes, try them on to see if they fit, pack, prepare bags for donations and others, and store away the rest. This is going to be hard. I know there are things I do not want to part with that just do not fit any more.

I'm tellin' you guys that are flying in with men and boys. Give them all a man-purse and pack FE gifts in them. I told Tim he was carrying one and his response was "Huh? Ok". He was watching TV at the time and may not have heard me but I have it on record that he agreed! I'll just pack his messenger bag and he can use a back pack for a carry on. I have limited us to one suitcase each and I'll bring laundry detergent in case I have to do laundry.:laundy:

Sorry to bring up the dinner thing again but I wanted to clarify for those I confused.

Chuck is right do not stress over the dining rotation or where you will be for formal/pirate/Thanksgiving. We have decided the time and people are more important.

What I posted is for our specific sailing. As of now this is definately the 8:15 rotation for our sailing (but of course everything subject to change) The 8:15pm seating will be as follows APPLAPL with the character breakfast for that rotation is on the 3rd Sea Day at 9:45am

For those wanting to call and make a request maybe give me until Monday/Tuesdayish if you want more info on rotation. My husband is looking into the other rotation. As well as what Character Breakfast will be for our sailing as well as Pirate Night. However, for that they said we need to wait until closer to the sailing for final word from the ship to be sure (I am guessing do not know for sure that it is because
Halloween sailing in October will be the first time they do it this way....but that is my own personal guess.) For use we want to know when Pirate Night is so we do not make Palo on Pirate night.....there will be sad kids and adults. So if I get a different date I'll let you all know. I know there are people with Pirate stuff to pass out.

I am off to some meetings and then a night of Disney fun!!!

Yikes it really is right around the corner!

We are driving so I have a carload of FE stuff and costumes for Pirate Party. Sure hope it fits in my little Civic! I *could* mail it to my sister who lives in FL and then just meet her along the way.

So much to do, so little time! I joined a gym a few weeks ago, I asked them if they could do a quick extreme makeover on me and they laughed so I guess the answer was NO. I did a health assessment and I am in the bottom 5 and 10% for most things so I think it is time to get in shape. I could only do 2 modified pushups and they were pathetic. :scared1:

If you see DH dragging me away from the buffet (I will be wearing a green bracelet) and I am screaming then please do not call security! :cake:

I should clarify because I sound really bad!:rotfl: We had nine bags total. Five were suitcases and four were duffle bags. That sounds a little better, right?:rolleyes1 I'm going to try real hard not to pack as much this time around. I know we don't wear half of it, but it's so hard to make that decision on what not to bring. Our pirate costumes are bulky, and I'm guessing they may take up most of a suitcase by themselves. Then there's the formal wear. Then there's the FE stuff. I think I'm in trouble.:lmao:

I'm off to an all day league volleyball tournament. Have a good Saturday everyone!

Susan

Cindy,
At least you could get on the floor to do the pushups! They'd need a winch to get me back up!

DH is the over packer in this family. If I can keep him under control we'll be ok. He sneaks his stuff into my suitcase! We don't have any bulky Pirates costumes and we're not doing tuxes or gowns so we'll be fine (I hope).

The ship is not the time for dietary restraint. Weight gain is something most will have in common. We have the rest of our lives to live sensibly. It's kind of like a floating veal farm, they stuff you full of food and then make it easy to avoid exercise.

:rotfl2: Okay that is hysterical. I think they need to put that in their new brochures.

Linda - Perfect analogy!!!!:lmao: You are too funny (but I already knew that)
All that beef wisdom coming from a vegan!

Question for those who have received their wristbands about sizing. When I measured out an adult size of 9 inches, it seemed pretty big. Are they really nine inches and do they seem big?

I just measured them:
adult is right at 8 inches
Youth is 7 inches
toddler is 6 inches

Glad you asked, doesn't really match what the vendor said. I don't think the adult is overly big, DD7 and DD9 are wearing adult ones and seem to fit fine.

Happy Sautrday all, another week closer to Magic!!!

We did the grocery store thing this morning. Dots candy was on sale 4 for $3.00. I have my 3rd load of laundry in, DD is mowing the yard, big DS has left for band, little DS is napping. So here I am in my comfy chair with the box of Dots on the DIS. :cloud9:

What are all the kids dressing up as for Halloween? Hopefully we can find DS a frog costume. DD is will probably rent something from the costume shop, she wanted to go there this morning, but it didn't happen.

DS12 says he's not dressing up this year, but it's entirely possible he'll change his mind. I told him he'll have to wear his costume from last year if he does. He was a ghoul with light up eyes.

Sandy, Great costume! And thanks for the link for the patterns. I am definitely doing Maleficent.

3 more dead moles this morning.:scared1: I have no idea where Walt is finding all of them!:cat: paw:
I guess I'm glad he is if they're from my yard, but couldn't he take the bodies to the woods?
