CFW Sales Tracking - includes all proofed county deeds through 8/31/25

Just want to point out while the golf carts are a fun aspect of staying here, they are very much not free.
I understand the golf carts are not free, just as the dogs are not free. But the opportunity to have both is a benefit in itself. So the dog fee and cart fee is just part of the expense, no different than park tickets and dining.

So you replace your house every 25 years ?
my track record has been moving less than every 25 years, but yes the house(s) still stands even if I don't own it. My point is that I am not in the belief that the cabins are built as solid as say the Contemporary, seeing that the Contemporary is still standing/thriving, but all the old cabins are gone. They could have "refurbished" but somehow it made more sense to replace them.

Nope. Not the same as park tickets and dining. This is a resort specific cost and a hefty one at that.

But it is a choice. Specific to this resort that I have the opportunity to choose to bring a pet and rent a golf cart. If the treehouses offered golf cart and was dog friendly, I probably would have been the owner off SSR points. Incidentally, I forgot to book a golf cart during our 2 night stay during Labor Day weekend. Ooops, no cart for me as they were sold out the entire weekend. We still had a wonderful time. Walked to the settlement. Took the internal bus at leisure. Drove to Epcot.

The old cabins were trailers, the new ones are built in a warehouse, offsite piece by piece and then assembled on site. The new one should last the same as a standard house in Florida.

I suspect, that part of the "niche" that people are referring to (and, I admit, I am probably in that group) with CFW may be more geographic than anything. I suspect that a large number of cash CFW visitors are those within driving distance that come to the Fort for a few days of fun.

Similarly, I think that if you are within driving distance of WDW (say, any of the Southeastern US), the calculus is much different. First, CFW has the unique advantage that if you are driving, you can pull up basically to the front door of your unit. Other than the SSR treehouses, no other accommodation offers that. I suppose SSR and OKW (and to a degree, AKV-Kidani) are "close" parking, but not right at the door. Also, if you can drive, then, quite honestly, you probably could care less about the transportation options, other than to MK, because you can just drive there, and for MK, there is boat transportation.

I also think that with the golf carts, if you are going to the Fort often, and you are within driving distance, you are probably considering purchasing your own golf cart. It would only take 3-4 weeks of renting to get into the territory of just having your own. I know that this is something we are considering...
