How did you map it out already? Did you just use the spreadsheet with the cabin #'s listed? If so, you're GOOD!! WAY too organized way too soon. I have my work cut out for me!!!

I just copied from the spreadsheet - DIS names and cabin numbers, typed them into Excel, sorted by deck and then did it the way it was most logical for me to walk. I would happily share with anyone if you want. It may take some tweaking on your part depending if you are forward, midship or aft (we are forward) but just let me know and I will happily email it to you.

I've been working a lot of hours to finish all the extended tax returns by Thursday. As soon as they are done, I can get back to the fun stuff. FE gifts are here, now I need to bag them by stateroom.

I have a question. I plan to use one ziplock bag to hold each stateroom's FE gifts. I think it should be fairly obvious who gets what, but do you think I should write each person's name and what is their gift on the label?

I did put labels with names and cabin numbers on my Ziploc bags. I used a shipping label size. If you decide to use labels, let me know and I can send you the WORD label document. I don't think its important to put the names on but I did it for myself so I could make sure no one got forgotten. I really hope my list was OK.

I also did a spreadsheet in EXCEL because I am way better in that than goggle documents. I guess a bunch of us were all thinking the same way! :thumbsup2

I just finished my FEs today, sorted by deck. Boy are they going to take up more space than I guessed.

I'd love to use it Gail! Could you please email it to me. becky AT rebeccabrauncpa DOT com

Thanks so much for sharing. :worship:

Yep. I'm back to mailing a box to the ship. I was planning to, then decided I could get them in our suitcases, but now that I've seen them, I'm going to mail them. I think I'll include the FE, FE gifts, SM gifts, door magnets, and dry erase board in the box. Hopefully, I can get them into a large flat-rate priority mail box and ship it for just $10.95.

Hey everyone guess what? I checked the KSC schedule and there is a satellite launch on the 14th! However, it's scheduled for 12:48 am - 2:18 am. Those of you staying near the port may want to set your alarms to see this.

Maybe you want to put something 'replaceable' in your box and keep your FE stuff divided among your luggage? One of my friends shipped her stuff to her hotel - when she received the box, it had been opened and all there was left in it was shampoo and conditioner. Her FE stuff and all was gone. Sorry for the horror story. She was pretty shook about it at the time.

Gail, my email is LindaBabe54 at yahoo DOT com Thank you!!!!!

If they don't postpone it, and you are driving in on the 13th to port, I suggest you go as early as possible - crowds gather for these events!

I feel pretty comfortable mailing it to the ship. I'd bet my bottom dollar that it was someone at the hotel who opened your friend's package. I'm counting on the employees at the DCL warehouse to be of higher caliber.

Good Morning, Everyone! Day shift, checking in!

It's a nippy 30 degrees F here this morning! After it warms up a little, we're going out to the Schoharie Valley to view the leaves and pick a pumpkin for the teddy bears Jack O'lantern.

Happy day, all!

Good morning everyone. I will get an email out to those that requested a copy of my spreadsheet. Just remember - my order may not be as logical for you if your cabin is miship or aft but you should be able to swap out the order without any problems.

Shipping boxes - I have shipped half a dozen times and never had any problems. I agree, it was more than likely a hotel employee. I have copied this from the FAQ on the main board regarding shipment.
Boxes Sent the Ship Ahead of Cruise - PLEASE follow these instructions carefully!!!!!! UPDATED AS OF 2/25/2009
• ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.
• The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.
• The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs. (This has been asked personally by Dave Adams who is the owner)

Address your package(s) to:
Disney Cruise Line Warehouse
Guest Name / Stateroom # (GTY, if you don't know what it is when you send the package)
8633 Transport Drive
Orlando, FL 32832
Phone: 407-566-8196

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information: ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
*Name
*Sail Date
*Ship
*Stateroom Number
*Packing slip that details contents of the package (for prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient)
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 7-Night Cruise on the Disney Magic (Saturday).
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 4-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Sunday).
• Packages must arrive by Wednesday by 3:00pm for the 3-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Thursday).

If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding. These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.

Gail-
Me too please! I downloaded the spreadsheet, but hadn't gotten a chance to manipulate it. Thanks a bunch!

OK - I think I got everyone so far that has requested. If you can't open it, let me know and I can copy it into Notepad or something so that you can. Or, if I get really ambitious, I can redo it on our older Office version at home.

Thanks Gail!

I just went through it and added the number of adults/kids/teens participating in the FE exchange in each cabin. But I had a couple of questions on it...

1) elderfam is listed for 2 cabins 2578 & 5131. where should we deliver? I guess this is a question for elderfam

2) i think you have cabin numbers of sandiegosusie and travelbee switched.

That's it. This will be a big help!

Another set of eyes is alwasy good. Since mine is just a cabin gift and isn't addressed to anyone, it would not have mattered but for those of you that are, that is good info.

See Virginia's comment - I swapped two cabins. My bad.

All of you are just WAY too organized. My FE gifts are party favor items and everyone is getting similar stuff, do I still have to label them? I figured it'd save time if I don't have to find the right bag to go with each stateroom...
Oh, what is a cabin gift? Is this addition to the FEs?

On a different note - I came home from camping (again) without DH last night so DD wouldn't miss school today. She talked me into letting her sleep in my bed and then proceeded to vomit all over it. The electric blanket (we're wimpy Californians), sheets and pillows are all in the trash now. Isn't it lovely??? Apparently, she ate too much stuff that she normally doesn't get to eat (ice cream, hot dogs, chips, etc.) and her stomach just couldn't handle it.

Hi Gail-

I was actually going to do that tonight, but since you have it done, could I possibly get a copy. That would be one less thing for me to do. I can actually make the shirts for the kids for MNSSHP for Thursday night. My email is:
jleitz AT excite DOT com. Try sending to Ray as well, since we had a problem with mine that one time. His is leitzr AT tampabay DOT rr DOT com

Thank you so much
