GUESS WHAT YA'LL?
I'm going on a cruise next month!!!!!!!!:rotfl2:

Does anyone know if you can ship a box from the Magic?

I was thinking of shipping a box to the stateroom. However, I never have more room in my suitcase on the way home, so I was wondering if like at a hotel you could arrange to ship a box back to your house.

Thanks!

I know my niece was able to ship some artwork home that she won at the art auction.

Actually, I am pretty sure you can. There is a post somewhere in here that gives you the details. I also confirmed with Disney. That was back in July I think.
But you know how that goes, it depends on who you get when you call;)
We were planning on sending a box down.

If you can't, I am a "local". We live in the St. Pete area and are driving to the port. We are leaving the van at the port parking lot. So, if need be, I can drop it off at the post office for you.

Good Morning everyone!! I can't believe it's Saturday already. Just a quick hello before taking the boys to bowling league. I'm glad UF has a bye this week. Maybe I can get something done today. I haven't been on for several pages. Did I miss anything? Hope to come back on later tonight.

Have a great day

Just wanted to say hi to everyone...from the World! =) Our little trip down here is going quite well. The weather has been excellent, and I had my first Tonga toast at Kona Cafe this morning. Wow! Now I know what all the hype is about!

Can't wait to finish up my FE gifts when we get back - the pre-cruise panic will set in for REAL once we get home on Sunday.

Gail - I've never been down here in October before - it's a good time of year to be here! I need to remember to take more pictures today - I slacked off yesterday. Too busy eating food at Epcot, I guess. :upsidedow

Hey there, hi there, ho there all.... I can't believe I let myself go a week before getting back on here. All I can say is that Sunday I was tore up when the guys left. I don't know why it hit me so much harder when they left rather than when I leave here but it sure did.

So that's Sunday's excuse. But what about the rest of the week? Well, all I can say is that my kid sister introduced me to this new game on Facebook called Restaurant City and ... well... er.... um... well, at least my restaurant is looking nice! :rotfl2:

I thought Florida resident APs were pretty cheap? And don't they last 15 months now? Living in town, you'd get a lot more use out of it. (call me enabler ;-)

You are sooooooooo sweet!!! I just went and told EM#1 about what you said later on about "she only needs one". He's so much got my sense of humor. All he did was look at me, smile (an evil grin if you want to know the truth) and say "Food and Wine Festival". What a little bum! He knows it's driving me CRAZY to see the F&W ads on tv all the time (like 3 or 4 times each morning) and not be able to go. Ahhhhh, that's my boy! :rotfl2:

The shirts look great! Man, if only I had someone that handy, who could come up with a design so clever. Maybe if I pretend to make some shirts, you know, buy the stuff and all, someone will come rescue me and get it done right. On the weekends. After she finds us a place to live. Between packing boxes and updating the list. See, piece of cake. Ain't I lucky?

Okay, okay... I'll get to it. Guess I should cut him some slack though... he's finding out that being Mr. Mom isn't as easy as he thought it would be.

Anyone else care to join us for a reunion cruise? Denise? Don't make me do the workbook myself! :lmao:

Congratulations!!!!!!

Uh, don't think I'll ever be able to do the Alaska cruise. KC absolutely HATES to be cold.

I've been thinking if we should do a Flickr Group for our pictures? What do you all think?
-Virginia

We could do that if you like. But we have a picture gallery on our "private" board. Anyone need the link just PM me. I just added a couple of updated pictures of my guys.

Hi all. Just realized there was a thread for this Double Dip cruise. We are booked on this as well. There will be four of us including our two children 4 & 2. This will be our first Disney cruise and are getting excited about it. We are going to the parks 2 days before the cruise staying at the CBR and then after the cruise staying at the POFQ for a few nights as well.

I browsed this thread and since its over 200 pages long that is allot of reading. Can someone provide the highlights? :) Is there a scheduled meet up? Parties?

:welcome: Hope you got your answers by now. If not, check the links in my signature or Michelle's for what all's going on. If you have any questions, just PM me.

:dance3: Congrats on your pixie dust!! You do realize that this is Mickey's way of enticing you to spend some more of your $$$ with him for an AP, right? :rotfl2:

:welcome: There is a link to a summary of our group activities in my signature. We have a workbook for our group that contains a wealth of information on all of us, shore excursions, FE and Secret Mickey participation, etc. PM me with your email address and I'll send you a link. Many of us are also linking our dining reservations so that we can sit together in the same area of the dining room. There's a link in my signature about that and a place to fill in your reservation # in the workbook if you would like to be a part of that.

That's great Sharen. Now, don't forget to update the workbook with your new room #. I'd also PM mrp and elderfam so that they can update the mini nav.

LOL re the AP!!!! I checked on the cost of a Fla Res AP that would allow the kids to do everything (water parks and DisneyQuest included) and it's..... (sit down) ..... $520 a year!!!!!!!!! Yes, it's for 15 months right now with their special promotion but still!!! Whoa!!!!

Okay I can't find the spot on the spreadsheet to link ressie numbers for dining. I still say that it wouldn't be fair to dine WITH another family as we're wanting to get in and out as quickly as possible but maybe we could be in the same area. So where on the spreadsheet do I go to put in my ressie number.

In the meantime, I'll go scrounge up some more coffee. I obviously need it. :surfweb:

I read in a earlier post about when Pirate night will be. I know usually it is on Wed, Cozumel night, but it is Pirate Week in the Caymans when we are there so maybe it will be changed to Tuesday for us?:confused3pirate:

Pirate Week in the Caymans? Where can I find out more about this? Sounds like it couldd add a bit of fun!

You surely are.... anyone else want to join me in a memorial service for xxcell? We could make it a wake!

I have mailed my Christmas cards from the magic.

Oh what a great idea! I think it would be cool to mail Christmas cards from CC. Now let's see.... what are the chances that I'll actually have them ready in time. LOL

GUESS WHAT YA'LL?

Sounds great!!!!!! Mind if I join you?

Okay, I'm off to gather spreadsheet numbers so I don't forget to do it this week. Then I've GOT to work on FE gifts. They're not gonna get done all by themselves. And maybe somewhere I can squeeze in a trip to the theater to see Toy Story and TS2 in 3D. Maybe. Oh, and there's the birthday dinner for EM#1 who turned 16 yesterday (which, coincidentially is the same day that Twilight Zone premiered... that explains a LOT). Ugh!!!! :rotfl2:

I found this - but I can't find more detailed info on what heritage day means... pirate:

Yeah, doesn't look like there'll be a lot going on while we're there. Bummer. I remember last cruise they were supposed to be having some festival but I never saw anything about it.

Oh well... we're gonna go to Hell anyway. Anyone got a handbasket I can borrow?

:lmao: Don't you love how our children reflect back our personalities? Which just proves that God has a sense of humor.

(Gives Denise an evil grin) Yes, but you don't need all that extra stuff for you right now to go to F&W, now do you? Mwa haa haa The little devil in you says, go ahead Denise, buy an AP for yourself. pirate:

LOL. It's columns AA and AC. And don't ask how long it took me to find the FE columns the other day when I was ordering my FE gifts. :rotfl2:

We're going to Kennedy Space Center for the day on Saturday after we disembark. For those of you who have been before, would you recommend paying extra for the NASA Up Close Tour? This is the one that takes you close to the shuttle launch pad and to the vehicle assembly building and shuttle landing facility.

If I could just figure out a way to hide the purchase from KC, I'da done had one! :rotfl2:

Ahhhh, there ya go. Thanks!!!!! I put mine in. I can't believe we only have 6 weeks left!!! Wow!!

Denise, it's a "congratulations, I got the JOB!" gift from you to you.

On the day we're in Grand Cayman, there's only a turtle release from 7 mile beach, and it's West Bay Heritage day - which probably means more to the people who live there than it will to us.

If we can't figure out how to get to the QE2 Botanical Garden, we'll probably go to Boatswains Bay.

Hey...I have a question about the linking of dining ressies. Is this so that we are in the same area, or are we linking tables? We always request a table for 4 so that we can sit with just our family...but we wouldn't mind being in the same area of the dining room with others from the boards. Also...is there a certain rotation we are requesting as a group?

When I call them with the links, I will specify that these are just to sit in the same area, not linking tables unless table linking has been specified in the workbook (there is a column for that).

I hadn't thought about requesting a particular rotation - not sure if they would give it to us. But, it never hurts to ask. Is there any particular rotation that people want?

Usually what happens is, the people in the group on each rotation are linked to sit near one another. If you don't specify whom you wish to sit directly with, they organize the group members into tables, just as if you were strangers. It works out pretty well, usually, families with kids are often grouped with families with age appropriate children if there are any. In this group, People seem to be pretty well split between early and late. However, more groups who want to link seem to have early dining, Although some do have late, so there's no need to change rotation.
