Hi all!

We were trying to remember, about what do the beers run on board? We need quarters for the washing machines, right? Can we climb the pyramid in Tulum?

Happy rainy Saturday night!!
Michelle

I don't know about the beers, but I do know that you can use your KTTW card for the washers and dryers.

Is that new? I don't remember that you could use your KTTW card...I always had my stash of quarters for the machines.

I believe that DCL has been converting to card readers in the laundry rooms this year. They started on Deck 7 earlier this year, not sure how many decks have been converted so far.

Hello,

If you buy a refillable DCL (mug you get to bring home) for $14.95 you can get 22 0z beers for $3.75 (price of 160z) plus auto gratuity of 15%

GOOD Morning, Double Dip Cruisers!

Had another rainy night here. Getting really impatient for Florida!

According to a post on the cruiseline forum, washers and dryers are all keycarded now, so no more quarters needed. I rolled mine yesterday.

Staging stuff to pack. People doing the Secret Mickey, I have a question or three, never having done one before. . . do you wrap your items? Give clues as to your identity? anything else I should know?

Today, I think I'll label the pockets in my shoe holder so we know what goes where. Go to the gym. Work on my scrapbook pages (trying to finish a book for the family thanksgiving.) Take a nap.

Have a good day, everyone!

Denise, it's a "congratulations, I got the JOB!" gift from you to you.

I definitely do like the way you think!!!! Oh, King Charming...........

Can we climb the pyramid in Tulum?

Nope, they have it roped off, if memory serves. Too many tourists on the buildings would degrade them faster, I believe. But there are a couple of older gates and walls you can touch. That tripped me out and sent a thrill through me, knowing I was touching something that old.

<y'all insert your own crack about KC's age here... I would do it but I'm trying to be nice to further my own plans... see above :rotfl2:>

Good questions! I need to know the same stuff and am putting this in red so it stands out. Very good questions!

I'm another early riser here in Ohio. I am going to the basement and walk. Linda, you go to the gym every morning, don't you? That is great!! I am using the "glider" and watching something we taped on the tv while I "glide". Sometimes, I will get a book on tape and only let myself listen to it if I am walking. That keeps me walking!!
Now, we can say "Next month, we will be on the cruise!!"
Have a great day.
Barbara :dogdance:

SM folks - you choice on the wrapping. I have not in the past nor did I get anything that had been wrapped. I have a tendency to purchase a gift or two from home and then, either something on the ship or in the ports and that second round of shopping makes it difficult to wrap unless you bring that sort of thing. And a delivery tip - you can ask cabin stewards to assist, if you have something that needs to be placed in the room, they are great about it.

Well, the wedding was gorgeous. Poured the rain and the sun shined all at the same time. We could not see a rainbow anywhere but I am sure there must have been one out there. I will post pics after David gets them off the camera.

And what is this I hear about some of you going on a cruise next month - well, US TOO! Who would have thought???:rotfl::rotfl:

Off to breakfast shortly - I will check in once we get home.

If you can't, I am a "local". We live in the St. Pete area and are driving to the port. We are leaving the van at the port parking lot. So, if need be, I can drop it off at the post office for you.

I have mailed my Christmas cards from the magic. My guess is - if you have a prepaid flatrate priority mail box that they *could* ship it for you. Alternatively, if you have such a prepaid box and you knew someone who was driving, perhaps *they* could mail it for you. I know someone with a red van and two teddy bears who *might* be willing to do such a thing.

Thank you both for the generous offers!:thumbsup2 I may PM you later to take you up on the generous offers as I become more desperate as I get closer to trying to zip the suitcases closed and there is "stuff" I can't live without like more books to read while lounging in the sun.

Leaving out my books is NOT an option!

I'm sure either of us would be Happy to do it for you - and the flat rate boxes are self stick, so you don't even need tape.

Oh SO sorry it rained on your son's wedding. But I'll bet the sun was shining bright in their hearts.

Oh goodie, another thing I can cross off The List - no need to wrap the SM gifts.

Congratulations on wedding #2!! Can't wait to see the pics.

How odd that so many of us are going on a cruise next month. Do any of you happen to be going on a black and white boat with red stacks and a unique horn? Maybe we could meet up or sormething. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

WE LEAVE FOR WDW ONE MONTH FROM TODAY!!!! :jumping1:

It's sunny and cool here. We're off to the farm/pumpkin patch with our friends. It is the neatest place. They have a huge corn maze in the shape of the State of Washington. They take you to "Idaho" on a hay ride, hand you a map, and you navigate your way through the state to come out at the Pacific Ocean. There are pig races, a petting zoo, a hay maze and slide for the kids, mini golf, and, of course, the pumpkin patch.

Usually what happens is, the people in the group on each rotation are linked to sit near one another. If you don't specify whom you wish to sit directly with, they organize the group members into tables, just as if you were strangers. It works out pretty well, usually, families with kids are often grouped with families with age appropriate children if there are any. In this group, People seem to be pretty well split between early and late. However, more groups who want to link seem to have early dining, Although some do have late, so there's no need to change rotation.

So even though we are requesting a table for 4, we may be seated near everyone right? We still want a small table for our family this cruise but would like to be clustered amongst disers!

It's official!!!! THE SUITCASES ARE OUT! Put together our laundry kit, OTC medicine kit, girls bathing suit garb and other stateroom supplies. I am now labeling our over-the-door shoe holder! Love a Sunday filled with cruise preparation! :surfweb:

We just pre-purchased the wine package! We're another step closer!

And thanks for the answers on the beer, the laundry and the ruins. That helps alot in planning!

We just pre-purchased the wine package!

Huh! I had no idea we could pre-purchase the wine package. Thanks for the info.

Ya know it hadn't dawned on me that the cruise is next month! I just keep saying Nov. :)

Kudos to all you packers. I can't imagine doing so already. Between forgetting what I pack now vs when it's time to leave, and the room it would take up... (not to mention a 2 YO getting into it all). I'm a list girl. Make a list and check it twice (and then some).

Yes,that will likely be the case -- as long as you put your reservation number on the list in the spreadsheet.

Our suitcases are also out - I've been 'staging' stuff in the end of the livingroom for two weeks now - stuff to deliver to people on the way to the ship, stuff for the ship (cruise 1) (cruise2), stuff for WDW after the ship, etc.

Have a great night, all.

We were doing the clothes switch over from summer to winter too. I thought I might as well pack the summer things we will be using on the cruise!!!! Suitcases are out and I am EXCITED!! My oldest son was getting too tall for his short toward the end of summer so I decided to take a jaunt to Target AND.....the shorts were marked WAY down!! Usually $14.99, today, $2.48!!!! Life is GREAT!!! :cool1:

It was very easy - I called 800-601-8455. There's a whole list of things you can pre-purchase (or purchase on behalf of people you know are cruising on Disney) in the Planning Center on disneycruise.com. The Minnie Gear (a cute hip purse) was very tempting - as is the pearl necklace that I definitely can't afford...

I also went ahead and put some of my spending money on my room account. I will be taking cash for shopping in ports, but this way my spending money I have right now definitely goes for cruise spending (rather than pre-cruise shopping).
