100 Day Cheat-Free Challenge!

Ok, I had a bad eating day yesterday-used twelve flex points! Aarrgh. It's just the sitting home and having nothing to do syndrome--my body wants to eat and I don't stop it. That's only 16 flex points for the week. Today is the last day and it is "free day." I should use 9 flex points today (based on my current plan) and that's fine, it's in my plan (yesterday wasn't).

Yesterday I was down 3lbs but after eating 12 flex points, today I am only down 1.5lbs. I know I didn't really gain that from string cheese, but it's what I have to take.

6 days down/94 to go!

Jana -- You are doing great! You are not going beyond your allotted points (including FPs) and you are journaling your food. 2 HUGE achievements! :banana:
 
Had to cash in all those flex points to make it through the weekend but made it. So, 6 days down and 94 to go!

Yeah, Rhonda! I am right with you, sweetie! So glad you made it through. Can't wait until we all turn magenta at 10%

BTW, it is pretty bad when I start calculating which equipment I have to use at the gym for how long to "pay for" a devil dog! (4 pts, but oh so worth it!)
 

Whoohooo on making through Day 6. I had 135 ounces of water by 7pm yesterday and man did I feel it!!!! But that's a good thing - I keep telling myself that. I also had a total of 4 fruits and veggies - 3 of those before 1pm so I was able to have a snack when I needed a quick pick me up before working out last night.

Keep up the good work everyone. I figured what I'm doing wrong with the water (or had been doing wrong) drinking during the weekends. I decided I have to use my big jub (42 ounces at a time) and not worry about small glasses. That's how I got it in, easily. And then I realized I wasn't counting the 12 ounces I drink every morning when I take my meds. I have never been counting that!!!!! ROFL

One week down! My actual start date was 1/10/06 - got my dates mixed up yesterday. Anyway, just weighed in and lost 4 pounds this week!! :cool1: :cool1:
 
I have made it through day 7 already!!!!! I have been booking on drinking my water so I don't have to get up so much during the night tonight!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks for the support/encouragement, keenercam! This challenge is really motivating me! Today was free day and I used 10 flex points (which is less than I used yesterday on a non-free day). I used 26 flex points this week. Thank goodness they start over tomorrow!

Tomorrow I go to the doctor to get my foot checked out. Hopefully it's nothing serious and I can get back to the gym in a couple of weeks.

Squeaking by today...Already ate 5 flex points and still want to graze!! Five a day is my max, so I'm trying to keep my mind off it. So, I'm booking my pionts and calling it a day. Hopefully, I'll feel better tomorrow and not have so many cravings.
 
okay guys- i was supposed to start this challenge today, and it just didnt happen...i startedm y college semester today and was nervous and i guess im just an emotional eater..i NEED this challenge and i dont know how to get back on track..

ill try again tomorrow
 
Hey, Carissa -- You earned those APs, so be sure to use them! Walking in the hot sun with a stroller should count for extra, right?

Jayna -- Good luck at the doctor! Don't feel too bad about the FPs -- I used 33.5 last week! :eek:

Come on, Jen, you can do this! :cheer2: I know how successful you have been in the past and now it is just a matter of getting your body back into that groove. Be proud of all you have accomplished so far and start fresh today! Hopefully, taking one less class this semester will lessen your stress level and you can focus on you a bit! The thumb still kind of hurts...I mean, it took days to puff up like that so it will take days to wind down...but it only slightly resembles a sausage now!

thanks Cam!!!!!!!! I didnt work out today, but no cheating so far! almost one day down..lets just hope i can stick with this for 100 more days!

Does anybody NOT use the flex points? I'm using an older cd version of pure points and they don't do flex points on it. I DO use my AP points some days, but I've had a lot of bonus points that I haven't used. So basically I'm sticking to about 20-22 points a day. I'm not depriving myself. I think I eat plenty. I have 3 meals a day and usually 2 snacks. But most of the foods that I eat are low in points. I haven't lost any weight yet (been doing this since jan. 1st), but I've been working out quite a bit so I'm hoping I'm switching to muscle. I also am having a visit by AF so I'm hoping for a weight loss once she's gone.

So what do you suggest? Should I just keep going the way I am? Should I add in more points?

I'd give it another week, Carissa, to see if getting past AF's visit brings some change to your weight. If not, you may not be eating enough, and you may want to use some of those points for additional, healthy foods eaten early in the day, such as another fruit with breakfast and lunch.
