10/4/08-Buccaneers Take the West! Cruiser List in Post #1

Well I didn't see this coming, but I am having surgery tomorrow! While I really didn't want to have to do this so soon, so close to the cruise my hand has been forced. SO, my gallbladder is coming out and I would appreciate all pixie dust and prayers you can throw at me. :worship:

And don't be surprised if I am moving a little slow when we get on the boat! :boat:

Thanks Buccs!

Lauren - pixie dust and prayers are on their way. My instinct is you will come through with flying colors. I have a friend that had this done a few months ago and she didn't have any problems at all. In fact, she kept waiting for something and it just never happened. Just be VERY careful and no lifting, that is the only thing that I can remember so no suitcases for you!

No colored ink in the printer - DRAT. Guess I get to stop tomorrow at some point an pick up another cartridge. I could probably get a new printer for as much as it will cost.

I feel SO much better than I did on Monday. I made good headway last night and will work tonight as I watch NCIS. After that I am really too stupid for words so will just laze until bedtime. It amazed me all of you that can function in the evenings. Not I - the brain engages about 6:00am and it is all downhill after that :rotfl:! Tomorrow morning is my manicure and pedicure (never again on the ship) plus my car is being detailed. Just need to get it an oil change and that will be done.

Lois - if you are reading or read later - I have been thinking about you and hoping that you are all having a great time.

Tania - safe travels with you and your family.

I leave in THREE days!!!

Oh Lauren! Prayers and pixie dust to you! Bless your heart!

However, I really can't think of a better place to recover!;)

Lauren: More pixie dust coming your way.

Gail - my brain goes in multi-tasking mode by 5am each day and is frozen by 6pm.

Glad your costumes will arrive in time, Jacquelyn. I did purchase a pirate pin in the gift shop last week on the Wonder.

Have a great evening everyone!

So we get her "new" then? First cruise is us after this has been done?
Wow, who knew when I booked on the 22nd of August, 2007 that she would be lookin' pretty for me....

The Magic is hosting a 3 day cruise this week. Then a 7 day cruise on 9/27, then US on 10/4!

Oh well, no problem! Still "new" to me!!

It got COLD here this week, temp's of about 10C (sorry, can't convert that, born in the wrong time for that!).

Lauren, had mine removed long ago, it's all good. Rest easy, you are going to be getting recouped in the best place in the world!

Everyone else, can't wait till meet day!

:thumbsup2

We got our documents today:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: !!!!!!! Now, just to get packing finished.

We just got home from Michael's. DS13 has 3 projects due in history. The first is due Thursday and has 2 more due at some point. I've emailed his teacher to see if they are due before the end of the grading period (which is the Friday before the cruise, when we will be at WDW). So, we may have to make 2 more projects besides all of the packing and prep I have to do to leave next week. I also bought my magnetic paper while at Michael's. I am behind on my door signs. I'll be busy printing this weekend.

Lauren, more pixie dust coming your way. Please let us know how everything goes.

I did the galley tour last year on the Wonder and it is really neat. I highly recommend it.

Time to go and help DS10 study for a test. I am so ready to get away. Only 6 more days of school for me until we leave.

Are there people they came to the list late like us that we can make sure to drop something off at there cabin. also is someone making a list for the FE. We got to take part in an fE on the med last year and it was a blast.

Good luck with your surgery tomorrow...our family is sending a bucket full of pixie dust your way!!!! I am sure all will go well!

yensidtlaw- Thanks for the welcome! We are from Beamsville (in between Hamilton and St. Catharines) It does sound like there are alot of Canadians...I look forward to meeting you in person! See you in a couple of weeks!

karibritt01 - Thanks for the welcome! I have talked to Denise (MommaluvsDis) and she did explain that it was too late to join the FE group...but if there were some families that had extra they could put us on their list! We are totally fine with that! I do like your idea about another FE list with the new families...

- Welcome! Another fellow Canadian! I look forward to meeting you and your family!

If there are any of the new families who missed signing up in August and who would like to be a part of a new FE(fish extender) list...I would be happy to organize it. Let me know!

Our Stateroom is # 8066

Hey neighbor!

Well, Im up for another FE list. Just have to warm me up on how this works?
I did a little checking and I think it's just something you hang beside your door or something and people put things in it??
Is that how it works?

It sounds like a blast!

I can't wait to be your neighbor too! Two Canadian Families side/side...look out Magic!!!
:lmao:

Okay, I am procrastinating, but I finally bought magnetic paper tonight to make magnets. I normally do not wait this late to do something like this. The only problem, I can't remember the post where everyone was showing the magnets they created. HELP:eek: !!! I will be very grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction. I've never used the magnetic paper before, but want to give it a try. Thanks in advance for your help.

Lauren - Prayers are with you tomorrow!!! Just think of how much better you will feel on your trip once that nasty gall bladder is removed! :cool1:

I also need your prayers (even more than Pixie Dust! :lovestruc ). Long story short, I had a much overdue pap test two weeks ago which resulted in a pelvic ultrasound Friday. They called with the results which indicates a complex cyst on my right ovary. They say I need to be seen by my GYN in the next 1-2 weeks. :scared1: Do I have any plans? Well yes I do!! :rotfl:

I am going to see my dr. Thursday afternoon. I am trying to stay off the search engines and to not self-diagnose. I have to admit that my husband and I did have a really good laugh when we read that some of these cysts can have hair or teeth. You don't hear that one everyday! :lmao: I know that the chances of it being cancerous or even dangerous are not huge, but it is still in the back of my mind.

On a sidenote, I did see an article where a woman had a seventeen pound cyst / tumor removed. That's my problem! I just THOUGHT I was gaining weight! I can eat like I want on the Magic after all! :dance3:

On the magnet issue, I've used magnet paper the past two years and it works great! I couldn't find any locally for a decent price, so I'm going to try the stick on magnets and photo paper this year. I just hope they will stay on the door! Have any of you had luck with this?

I can't wait to meet you all face to face! My kids are getting so excited too. Kurt said today, "The school days just seem so long now because I want to cruise so bad!" That's my boy!

Welcome to anyone I missed before! It's going to be so neat seeing "familiar" faces on the ship all week....and I apologize in advance for anything my kids may do, lol.

Denise, glad you got your docs. Lauren, I wish you all the best tomorrow. I'm sure everything will go smoothly.

I cant believe I only have one weekend left to get ready. AAGGHHH!!!

Lori P. :)

So the Magic docks at Playa Del Carmen pier? Can we walk from the dock to putt-putt and Margaritaville? I am not very good with directions. I plan to get a taxi and go to Paradise Beach and then maybe go putt-putt and hit Margaritaville on the way back to the Magic. Will that work?

Also, for Key West should I book our tram tickets in advance? I want to do the one that you can get on and off in town. Will it stop near Margaritaville there? My husband wants to hit each one that we are close too!

I'm glad to hear there are other Parrotheads on board. How exciting to hit 4 margartiavilles on one vacation. Have you ever done the trails of margaritaville tour in Key Wesy? It's kinda cool, we did it last time. Lots of walking though.

Just got in Chris' Pirate Night costume! It came with all of the Pirate Accessories!

I am SO happy with it. It fits him perfectly and I got it from ebay for REALLY cheap!! :cool1: Now I'm just waiting for mine to come in-should arrive in a few days.

Yay! I just finished off our costumes last night (partly home made partly purchased) and completed my door magnets today with the kids! I'm super excited that others are dressing up for the party, I think it's going to be tonnes of fun. :cool1:

For the FE's I think I have about 7 extras so if we are adding new people to the list I'll deliver to as many as I can so they can be included too! Not sure if they are being added to the list being handed out or not.

My list is slowing getting smaller, my plan is to have everything packed and ready to go by Sunday so I can "relax" as possible as that is, until wednesday night. We have to be up and drive 1 hr to the airport Thursday morning. We have to leave the house by 3:30 AM, with three kids under 5 that will be an adventure I'm quite certain. Don't imagine we'll get much sleep that night.

Hope everyone is having a super week so far! Not too long now!!!!!:cool1: :cool1:

No we haven't so please tell me more and I count 3 so tell me which one I'm missing?
