My arty will be at Ron Jons. The boys wanted the slide and lazy river so we went for it.
Anyone else staying there?

I'm so stupid that I totally didn't catch that this was a typo. I'm trying to figure out who Arty is, and wondering why you all weren't staying together! Maybe I should get some caffeine before I DIS!!!

Beth- Wow ot looks like you are a wealth of info! That is what my committee needs folks who have been there done that. We are at a brand new school and most of us are moms of K and 1st graders so we are always trying to come up with plans instead of having a pro say...This is what we have done in the past. Which some people don't like, but I like improving on a good idea as opposed to inventing the wheel. Whoever follows us will have very detailed notes on what worked and did not work, I have a 3" binder from last year, and I am sure we will add notes from this year too. What part of IL are you from. I ws born and raised in SO IL.
Mollygirl- I wish I was vacationing with y'all a cruise in the suite followed by a few days in the World. Literally sounds like heaven, mind if I live vicarious through you for a minute? I have stayed in the Hyatt before when we have had to fly in late, but just not this time.

We are from the Quad Cities. For those of you not familiar with that term is is the area of Ia/Ill where the Mississippi actually runs East to West. I live in East Moline. We are 2 1/2 hours southwest of Chicago. Where in southern Ill are you from?

Mom2four- I did the same as you did. I was scrolling to look back and see who Arty was.
I just got back from buying material to make my Fish Extender. Pray for me! I am not creative nor a particularly good instruction follower. We'll see baby!
Just an FYI. It cost me $20 for the raw materials at Joann's , so $30 really is extremely fair for the Ebay ones.
Gena- Adding your friends to our prayer list. I wish I had a picture of the Chip and Dip platter, it was really cute!
Biroberts- I was from the most opposite we could be from you. Down in the corner where IL, IN and KY all meet. Now I live in Atlanta, Georgia, but most of group is from all over So IL and IN so that is where I kept my profile from. I have lived in the south for longer than I lived there now, so I guess I need to change that, kind of misleading. Went to college in Alabama, lived in AL, AR, TN and now GA.
Off to see which Jenny Craig meal will be the lucky winner for my lunch. . Just doing my part to make sure y'all see less of me on the cruise and that people don't keep shoving me in the water from the beach afraid I'll die!

That cracked me up! My frozen meals of chioce at the moment is Weight Watchers Smart Ones, so I know what you are feeling when you open that freezer up

On to my headline of panic or not to panic....
Stick with me on this one...
I am able to make my reservtions at 75 days which is Monday July 21st
Thought I would "see" if I could at least log-in to my reservation to check name spellings and such
Go to log in and apparently have have already created an accout with Disney somewhere.
OK, don't remember, but I'll play along
Have them send me my password, which is a combonation of my kids names..ok looks like it was ligit so I go back to try and log on with it
Put in on all info, email, log in, ressie number and my birthdate
Mean red letters show up saying the log in name or password at not correct
Huh? You just send these to me over the email, so they have to be!

So, then I try and create a "new" account and it then tells my my zip code is not correct. OK, our zip codes did change since I probably created the original account...so I type in the old zip code then it tells me I already have an account.

I am beyond frustrated! So, my question for anyone who is scheduled to make reservations on the 21st...are you able to log-in at all and see your reservation? If so, I am afraid this is going to be one of the headaches that will take me a day to fix. In not, then I suppose I'll have to wait until Monday to see if this is going to work for me...

Any advice?

OK I was able to log on, and it showed my status as "booked" does that mean paid in full? We have paid the TA, just want to make sure our records match Disney's.
dvanhazel- That poor Mickey swam forever though, so maybe they are having technical difficulties. All I could think was "Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming." I can't book until 75 days out either, so we'll both be nightowls on the 20th. Crossing fingers for both of us.

I pulled my ressie up pretty easily. Mine does still say booked. Maybe you had a different email address when you created the account? Or maybe you used a screen name instead of email? Also, I have mistyped my email several times causing problems. Hopefully you can get it cleared up quickly.

One last thing I don't know if it is case sensitive, but that cause me fits one time. I am sure you have tried everything, because once you are in that mode you are trying stuff you know it isn't for sure, but good luck

Simo... will you have snow in Minnesota by October? If so, I would take the flight closest to you, and then fly into Tampa. No use driving 3-4 hours in bad weather if you don't have to. Of course... I am from NC, and we haven't had a measurable snow fall in 3 years! Our schools close down if we get 1/2" because the DOT is not capable of clearing the roads in any decent amount of time.

I can only say I sure hope not! Typically we do not have any measurable snow or snow that causes driving problems that early. I do remember when our daughter was born (Sept 29) we had snow that year a few days after her birthday. We also had a very bad winter this year with lots of snow - so I guess I wouldn't rule out anything. We actually debated taking this cruise - and one of the reasons is that it would be so nice to get out of here in the middle of winter instead of the fall. 1/2" here is nothing. 6-12" even isn't too unheard of and usually it has to be at least that much to cancel school.

Anyway, the flight issue is of course a money issue as well, as our local airport is more, but we are leaning toward that just for the hassle factor as well.

Must be the activity of the day. On wednesday we found a growth on our dog up by her ear. I thought it was an absess but then got worried so we took her in. For 28 dollars I was told most likely an absess or a cyst and best thing to do is wait and watch. I think that was what I said in the begining. Maybe I should trust my judgement but then if I was wrong I would never forgive myself.

I will keep your little one in my thoughts and prayers. Sounds like a very scary situation. Please keep us posted on Shaggy's recovery

Hey Everyone,

I just got word that my uncle has been takenn by ambulance to Vanderbilt Hospital with second degree burns on his arms, hands, and face. He apparently was trying to cut a barrel in half, and not knowing this, it still had some gas or gas fumes in it. My cousin heard the explosion, looked out the window and saw my uncle rolling around on the ground. On top of this, the doctors also have found a mass in his throat. As soon as I find out anything more, I will let you know. This is the only uncle I have on my side of the family (my mother has no living siblings and my dad has one sister-my uncle's wife). Thank you so much for all of your support for my friends and family. The power of prayer is wonderful.

I have a group of 12 that will be in Cape Canaveral the night before our cruise. This group is particular about food and it must have a bar as they are a partying sort. Any recommendations?

I am getting the same impression from my sister in law. She does play tennis. She lives in The Manor and plays on their league. Her name is Peggy. If you say you know her that will be just too strange!
