Hey, Nancy, wasn't that weird how the posts got screwed up? I quoted you but your post came out after mine.:confused3 The boards are a little nutty today.

No matter what I post, Nancy's post comes out after that. It is continuing as the last post on the page......

This thing is weird today. :rotfl2: Let’s see what happens now.

First...WELCOME to all the newbies. Scottishwee35 and luvmymatt. I’m Nancy and cruising with DH Chuck (aka Charlie Tuna). Our adult children are also cruising with us. Hope to hear from both of you a lot more before next Oct.

Mel...So glad to hear that Amelia is ok. Scary scary stuff there lady.

Andy...Good luck with the big partee’ tomorrow.

OK, here we go. Let's see what happens..........

I am off after, though. I am headed to the marina. Derek gets his sailing license today. Then we are off to the outlet mall to buy shoes.:cool1:

Actually we Tendered in St. Thomas on our first cruise - Jan 2005.

Not sure where DCL stacks up if there are a lot of ships in on the day they go. I've seen pictures in years past of the ship always being in the harbor and not at the dock.

Maybe it has changed over the past couple of years. They have another dock on the far side of the harbor (someone had a picture from the top of the tram that shows the Magic way back in the other port - it was a reroute cruise). You do NOT want to come into the other port. Too far from everything.

Oh wow - I didn't know that. Sorry for the DIS-information, Jen. ;)

Hopefully we'll be there early enough that we'll be able to dock at the pier. I know how much US immigration enjoys those early morning passenger sweeps in the Walt Disney theatre. :rotfl2:

And yes ... steel drums at sailaway would be awesome!! :cool1:

If I have enough to drink I might even try to play them myself ... :lmao:

Just print the first post and tuck it under your keyboard;) - we all cheat:lmao:

That's what I did!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm finally able to get on the DIS, tried from 5:30 to 8:30 this morning with no luck.

I have to agree. I have felt like this for quite some time, but I thought I was alone. Thanks for speaking up.

Best wishes to all concerned. Now who agrees that steel drums should play at the sailaway party, and what are we gonna do about it?:rotfl: :rotfl:

Yes, they should have steel drums at the sailaway party.

And for the other issue, I'm with you Paige (and Chris, Brenda and Nancy). There is a place for issues like this and this cruise meets thread is not the place. I feel this is beyond the normal family/personal issues that come up on the thread. As we get to know people, we do want to hear if something happens with their family. It effects how they post or if they post at all and we all have an interest in it. However, the topic at hand goes beyond that.

The boards really do seem to be weird today, don't they? And it isn't even Friday the 13th or a Full Moon either..........:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

How did this get here??? I posted this at the end of the last page, but somehow is showed up here, what is going on???

Somewhat cruise related to all of you and somewhat my dilema for August.

As you know Midwest is on the verge of going under. We booked them for both sides of the Repo. Still debating if we should just roll the dice, spend $450 and get a seat on Air Tran so that we are certain to get out to LA. We have frequent flyer seats on Midwest, so no loss of money there.

Anyhow, back to how it effects all of you. In researching my trip insurance, come to find out that unless you buy the insurance with in 3 weeks of the INITIAL deposit, they do NOT cover bankruptcy. I booked back in Jan '07 and didn't even think about air yet because you can't book domestically that far out.

So, for all of you who put your deposits on the BOB already and have NOT gotten your insurance, I have a couple suggestions.

1. Book a separate policy just for your air once you book your tickets.
2. If your airline offers it, buy the protection plan they offer (usually much cheaper).

I would suggest not including the price of the airline in your package insurance, but I'm not sure how that will effect your coverage. I believe you would be fine, because not everything will go under. Your trip delay and interruption would be covered as well. It just won't cover you if your airline goes under.

Just a word of caution in these uncertain times with the airlines.

Well, I don't have time to play games with these crazy boards today, to much other stuff too worry about. See y'all later........:wave2:

Good luck Jeff and everyone else with this.

I'm starting to get nervous even with American at this point. :worried:

Thanks for the info Jeff. I tried to print this out but when I highlight it to print it keeps going back to a totally different post unrelated to this one. Hopefully, you'll remember the info in this post and repeat it to us again. Or....better yet, is this worthy of a page one addition?:confused3
