Yah I looked for you at the Mickey pool meet---but I kinda felt like the odd man out---seems like everyone knew someone----maybe we can hook up on the next cruise----

Very nervously I can swim but I have to plug my nose---which I couldnt do cause we were racing--- the coin toss--forget it--I was no help to the girls team---I couldn't dive down and get any but it was all fun!!!!

Good morning everyone. The kids are home from school today due to election day and then have half days the rest of the week. Yesterday, the principal called with her "mandated" call. She explained that she was only doing her job to document it to the state that she was stressing to us that it was an unexcused absence and that our childrens education is important. It was a very light conversation and she kept stressing in an almost comical manner that she was only doing her job.

A couple of you mentioned your servers not being too good. Well that was NOT the case for us. We had Gerry and Dario and they were AWESOME!!

We had Dario and Gerry too. They were good. Each night Gerry would do magic tricks for the kids.

Yeah, I kind of felt that way the first day, but then I made a point to say hello whenever I recognized anyone, even if it was just a wave and a smile. I am kind of shy at first anyway. Elaine is the sociable one in my family.

We are home! We definitely had a MAGICAL time on our first (and not last!!) Disney cruise

I will post more tomorrow about the trip.. but I first and foremost want to thank the folks that left the great DIStag gifts for us They are wonderful -- the kids were so excited to find them outside the door.

The cats were mad when we got here but now they won't leave me alone.

Hope everyone that went to MNSSHP had a great time tonight, and everyone traveling today had a safe trip home.

We're home too. We arrived yesterday evening, to some bad news. Rob's mom had to fly home on Monday because her sister (fighting cancer) took a sudden turn for the worse and passed away. Rob's dad stayed here with the kids so they were fine. I felt terrible that Rob's mom couldn't be there to say her final good-byes, but her sister went too quickly. We will all miss her.

Sorry to hear this Paige. Hugs from us.

I too was slammed with some bad news while sitting at the airport yesterday. My dad fell twice while we were gone and is now in ICU with bleeding on the brain! They are talking brain surgery.

Oh Nancy. I'm sorry to here this. We too got some bad news. Rick's Mum was admitted to hospital after a slight stroke and problems now with her heart tablets. She's home now...and getting better.

The Bobers have been together for a couple years, some a little longer. All started as strangers on a Disney cruise but eventually grew into a group thanks to this site. Some are closer than others but still the gang is very much open to everyone. That's why you noticed being "the odd person out". No offense is meant. I'm shy also but Lynn is more the outgoing person and can socialize much easier. I'm fine on this site but when it comes to being "in person" my shyness shows. So kept at it on this site. By the way, you previously mentioned you are booked for October 22, 2011. I replied to that because Lynn and I are reserved for that also. I have requested a thread be opened for that cruise. Maybe we'll be in contact through that thread also.

We called home from Kidani...our dil, Court had the flu and was on Tamiflu. The next day, they had to take Addison to the emergency room. She now has the flu. I think Michael is getting it now. He's not feeling very well. I imagine that Brady will be next.

I called Mike's Mom after we landed in Akron. She had to have a heart Cath on friday and had a mild stroke during the procedure. She's ok, but she has numbing on her one side. Not sure if it will get better or not. She goes back to the Dr. tomorrow.

When it rains, it pours, huh?

Oh my...why did we have to have such a good time to come back to such bad news.

Next time to St. John's Lynn and I may rent a vehicle to drive around the island and take in it's beauty, of which Trunk was a sample.

Sorry that you felt that way. The problem was... that so many of us knew each other and were busy catching up so to speak. Later, I thought that newcomers may have felt a bit left out. Kinda bummed that I was right.
