A couple of you mentioned your servers not being too good. Well that was NOT the case for us. We had Gerry and Dario and they were AWESOME!!

Thanks Paige. We had Dario and Gerry, but didn't get a photo.

Here's Stuart while we were waiting to board our second flight to Orlando.

I call this one "Fishin!" As we were sitting in the water, fish came right up to the shore.

Great pictures everyone! :thumbsup2

Steve we were in the Alligator Bayou area of Port Orleans Riverside. It was a pretty decent hike to the Ol Man Island area and main lobby, but we were close to the West Bus Depot. We had a corner room that overlooked one of the quiet pools. I think my plan worked. Elaine really liked it, so I am pretty sure we will stay there again. :thumbsup2

Awesome! Chris. I was interested in how your stay went. POR is a wonderful resort! I hear that Alligator Bayou has a lot of fans. I really like the manicured look of the Mansions but I'd stay in the bayou without a fuss. I'm Thinking that my brother wants to do the Wilderness lodge for our next trip (he's worried about walking distances and the WL looked pretty compact.) I'll do WL if I get free dining but not so sure that I'll do it otherwise!

Hello Everyone -

My thoughts and prayers goes out to all that came home to bad news.

I am happy that I had a chance to put faces to names and to those I didn't meet, maybe a BOBer 3 will give me that chance....

I too am sick as did not make most of the meets because of Johnathan being seasick or me pretty much not feeling well by Thirsday.

Came home to find out that I have a sinus infection along with bronchitis..not a great mix.

Thank you for all my wonder tag gifts!! I really enjoyed them as well as trying to find everyone's stateroom. I managed to only get caught once...lol. I too hated deck 5...very confusing!!

Happy Tuesday everyone :)

Lisa

We were in Alligator Bayou as well - really really liked it! (We saw Chris and the kids at the pool!) The first room they gave us, we went up to and it hadn't been cleaned yet (ewwwwww) - then they moved us to one that was clean and all was well. My favorite thing was the double sinks!! Woo hoo!

The Bobers have been together for a couple years, some a little longer. All started as strangers on a Disney cruise but eventually grew into a group thanks to this site. Some are closer than others but still the gang is very much open to everyone. That's why you noticed being "the odd person out". No offense is meant. I'm shy also but Lynn is more the outgoing person and can socialize much easier. I'm fine on this site but when it comes to being "in person" my shyness shows. So kept at it on this site. By the way, you previously mentioned you are booked for October 22, 2011. I replied to that because Lynn and I are reserved for that also. I have requested a thread be opened for that cruise. Maybe we'll be in contact through that thread also.

Chris and Lynn

I will keep at it---loved chatting w/ everyone on here--I think if the DH would have been more open to all this it would have helped also :headache::headache::headache: Maybe next time
And about the Oct. 22, 2011--that is the one that we would like to take--however the quote they gave us on board didn't even begin to compare to the price we got through our TA--:scared1::scared1: so we have to get with here and get us locked in to it for sure-----but the thread idea sounds great---it would be great to be involved in one earlier than the month & 1/2 I had for this one----:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 so let me know when you get this one set up----

One other thing I wanted to tell everyone in the Bobbers....

Some of you know that Abby (my oldest) fainted while in line for Topsiders on Friday morning breakfast. She's ok - she was just dehydrated.

There was a Bobber who I saw a LOT but didn't know his name who helped us out as well as a nurse - wanted to thank you so much for keeping me calm and grounded!

I wish we got to socialize more with the Bobbers. As I mentioned, I'm TERRIBLY shy and we had some sickness/difficulties with Abby - but whenever the next cruise is scheduled, we will be there (just me and Dave!!) I'm thinking of surprising him with a 4 day Bahamas cruise in December 2010... I priced it out and a Cat 10 for the 2 of us is only about $1300!!

Getting back to work. I posted all 1600 (yes.. you read that right) pictures on snapfish (took overnight to get them all up). I am culling them down and going to post the best ones. I'm alos going to make a memory book while I'm at it!

Our room the battery was dead in the doorlock and we couldn't get in through our door. Fortunately, we had a connecting room with my parents and were able to enter through their room.

Good morning, y'all!

Good luck to our buddy, Bryce, who is having ACL surgery today.:grouphug:

100_1742.jpg

Thanks for the well wishes, we just got home from the hospital. Left @ 4:30 this morning, got home at 2:00. Surgery went well, the Dr. took pictures to show things before he cleaned everything up, then once he put the new ACL (hamstring) in. He was hoping to have 7cm of hamstring, ending up having 8.5 cm, was very pleased. Lots of Rest, Ice, Elevation, homework & movie watching for the next wk for sure.

This was part of my problem too.. :sad2: Not his fault, of course. Neither of us are really 'social butterflies'.. BUT, our kids are. :)

I found it hard that first day to walk up to people and strike up conversation. Plus the kids were running around and didn't know what to do yet. :confused3

I remember saying "HI" to Chris briefly, then running off frantically to find Hagan! :rotfl:

It's all good though.. I will always remember the fun times I did have with some of you BOBers!! :goodvibes

Thanks for the link Chris. I look forward to checking it out. Those were some great pictures from your late night stroll around the ship. I got up early one morning to catch the sunrise. I ended up running into a BOBer pajama party meet on Deck 10 Aft. All of the ladies were there and MIKE! Funny how he happened to show up to the pajama meet. :rotfl:

Matthew

yes it was funny how i "happened" to be there.:rolleyes1pirate::rotfl:

you should have been there earlier...the chics were pillowfighting too.:cloud9:
