The girls and I talked about shore excursions last night. Beth was at work on the night shift. Here's what we are thinking about.

Banana Boat Ride & Mountain Bikes to tour the island

The girls asked about parasailing again, but I would like to do something different. Besides, last time was so great, I wouldn't want to spoil it. It seemed like we were up longer than most and got dipped in the water three times!

PAIGE - Do you have access to the prices? We can't see them yet.

Well - I hate to get a googley and run (I'm not THAT kind of girl.......) but I need to take some sinus meds and start packing for my Chicago trip. Going to see the White Sox play the Oriels next Saturday. We are in the SUPER, DUPER cheap seats - so far up I hope we can see the game!

So we all got to hang out there together although we weren't seated together.

The girls enjoyed KSC. (Even if it was educational. ) I think it would be really cool if one of my kids worked for NASA. Then I could get a behind the scenes tour.

Parasailing on CC is awesome. We tried it last time doing the tandem harness. Beth went with Megan and I went with Sarah. Have you seen my video of the experience on YouTube?

Dave mentioned wanting to do a Banana Boat ride at CC, but I don't see it listed under the shore exursions on the website (or maybe I'm just overlooking it)....

I've tried it twice, once at Castaway Cay, and the other time was on Bay Lake at WDW. I enjoy the tandem harness to share the experience with one of my kids. All to soon they will be too big for that.

Maybe not.
Last time in 2007 on Castaway they had us all go in tandem.
I wanted to go alone since I went in tandem with my son the last time, but they said no and made me go on with my boyfriend.
I think they want the extra weight up there so you don't whip around perhaps?

It's in the booklet that DCL sent out to us. I can't see the excursions on My Disney Cruise yet.

Woohoo, I just made our Town Car reservation for the cruise. We are being picked up at 9:00 AM at WDW which should put us at the Port around 10:20 AM or so. For the return, I asked for a pickup time of 10:00 AM from the Port. If we try to loiter around before getting off the ship and chat with folks, I figured it would be about 10 AM. Is that too late?

This was Canada Day so I didn't have Dani and Rob joined us

We took the dogs down to the river...they LOVE this...

We throw tennis balls and they swim and catch them. Poor Stitch, Lilo almost always gets it

Kira loves to throw rocks in the river...

OK, Its kind of a slow day here on the DIS, so here's some pictures from our WDW trip. I'll start off with some pictures of the room at Old Key West. We stayed in a two bedroom this time since there were eight of us.

Here is our rainy arrival at WDW. We drove down from Virginia.

I love to eat at Steak-n-Shake. So we made our obligatory stop. Our kids are on the left and our friends' kids are on the right.

First monorail siting!

We were on the monorail at the Magic Kingdom a few hours before the crash. RIP to the 21 year old monorail pilot.

Well, yesterday's "good-bye" picnic went well. Not too many tears which is exactly how Kristin and Jesse wanted it. It will be tough on us to see them leave but I can only imagine how hard it will be on Kristin. She is leaving everyone behind. Jesse has family down there already.

We did music cd's for them with our favorite songs on it. It'll keep them company on the 35 hour drive down there.

I'm still tossing around the idea of driving down with them though. I'm just afraid that the ride down will make leaving even tougher on us both.

I asked my mom once: "When do you stop worrying about your kids"? She said: "Never". Boy was she ever right!

It'll be a sad day in the cntkg1 household on Thursday.

Well you have family everywhere Nancy. Take some comfort that she's still in the US.

I think it is 8:45. That was the only option to choose, so that I am assuming that is the only time for that tour.

We celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary on July 1st. I bought these bride and groom ears as a surprise. We wore them over to the Grand Floridian that evening. We spent our honeymoon there in 1989. The Figment plush in the picture was bought on our honeymoon. It has gone on most of our Disney trips over the years.
