Did you hear the story about David Carridine's death?
Did Kristen really move?
NOOOOOOOOOOOO
Poor Nancy
How far away did she go?
I would definitely recommend KSC, especially with a 9 year old boy. We had not been for about ten years. It is MUCH better than the last time we were there. It comes out to about $35 per person. That includes pretty much everything though. The bus tour is excellent. They have constructed a viewing stand that is four stories tall. At the top, there is even an air conditioned viewing room (Windows all around). There is a small gift shop and snack bar at the ground level. You can stay as long as you want since buses run every 15 minutes. Just get on the next bus when you're ready. The next stop is the Saturn 5 Center. This is a much larger area with exhibits, a larger gift shop, food court, etc. (And of course, the Saturn V rocket laying on its side inside the building.) The final stop takes you to the area where they test and prepare modules and other items bound for the International Space Station. (Very Cool)Then its back to the main visitors complex. They have a new motion simulator ride that simulates a shuttle liftoff. This is included in your admission price. The seating is very similar to Star Tours at Hollywood Studios (Except that you seem to lift up to a 90 degree angle.) Very intense, don't miss it. Oh, and there are a few IMAX movies that are free as well.
We got there just after the 9:00 AM opening. Parking is free. We left at 4:30 PM.
All in all this was a great day and a great value for the money.
Is that enough of an endorsement for ya.
You won't be disappointed.

Took DS #1 to airport this am, he is off to Europe!!! I am praying they make good - safe choices but still have a good time!
I'm paying for everything today!
Flights, cruise, villa etc
No stopping us now!
We're cruising!
Soon!!!!!!
I'm mad with myself
Yesterday I found a lovely pine lodge for rent for August for a week. Lovely location near the Lake District, beautiful location - right on a lake, georgous interior, onsite restaurants and pool etc etc...looked perfect!
It was available yesterday..... had an email off the owner last night - its now been booked
Agreed.
We could just all pick a decent time and all book the main dining room together.
Last time a lot of us were up there at the same time, without being in the special room.
Did you hear the story about David Carridine's death?

Hi Paige.
What all does the REAS include?
BTW where has Lori been lately. I haven't seen her on here.
Matthew
P.S. The crowds at WDW weren't nearly as bad as I thought they would be for the week around July 4th. How was it when you guys were there recently?
Paige - what time did you get for the Two Flags tour.
We haven't been back to KSC since 1982. It might be something fun to do on Friday before the cruise.![]()
Well, yesterday's "good-bye" picnic went well. Not too many tears which is exactly how Kristin and Jesse wanted it. It will be tough on us to see them leave but I can only imagine how hard it will be on Kristin. She is leaving everyone behind. Jesse has family down there already.
We did music cd's for them with our favorite songs on it. It'll keep them company on the 35 hour drive down there.
I'm still tossing around the idea of driving down with them though. I'm just afraid that the ride down will make leaving even tougher on us both.
I asked my mom once: "When do you stop worrying about your kids"? She said: "Never". Boy was she ever right!
It'll be a sad day in the cntkg1 household on Thursday.![]()
Here are a couple of pics from KSC. The first was taken from the tour bus. The second shows the Space Shuttle on the pad as seen from the viewing platform.

Elaine, My dad, and sister all did this last cruise. It was a little pricey, but an enjoyable time. Make sure you do NOT stand in the harness! Just sit it in it. I did that and had a killer wedge and it took me a few minutes to relax and enjoy the ride. For CC - we are doing the Parasailing (hopefully). We can not WAIT for that.
Dave really wants to see the Flying Dutchman, but I'm not sure we want to rent a wave runner to do it. I kind of want to do the Stingray thing too, but I don't want to overschedule ourselves when on CC.
Ok - any suggestions or recommendations are welcome!!![]()
A netbook with a webcam so I can see my baby when she moves.
Cool! I want one, but since booking this cruise (which I couldn't afford in the first place) and then Rikki's outrageous vet bill, no laptop for me.
Wasn't it suicide?
Yeah, but it was an unmentionable one.

They move this Thursday to Arizona.![]()

The Dutchman is viewable clearly from the walkway to the beach. You could even save a few bucks and rent a non motorized watercraft and float on over to.
Our plans are to go on the St. John/Trunk Bay snorkeling excursion in St. Thomas/St. John.
On St. Maarten we are just going to the beach. My dad says there is a nice beach that is very convenient to the ship and the prices for chairs, umbrellas etc are very reasonable. While there we are renting a couple of jet skis.
Dave and I went out for a nice dinner tonight and we finally got around to talking about what shore excursions and extra stuff we want to do when on the cruise.
For St. Maarten, I think we are going to do the Butterfly Farm excursion. I think the girls will like that and we can also go over to the French side. Plus, after it's over, we can explore a little bit.
For St. Thomas/St. John - I really want to do the St. John tour, but it will take the entire day, and I'm not sure the girls would be interested in that. I think we are going to go off on our own - see the big tram thing and maybe head to Coral World (anyone been there before - is it worth it?)
For CC - we are doing the Parasailing (hopefully). We can not WAIT for that.

The girls enjoyed KSC. (Even if it was educational.) I think it would be really cool if one of my kids worked for NASA. Then I could get a behind the scenes tour.
Parasailing on CC is awesome. We tried it last time doing the tandem harness. Beth went with Megan and I went with Sarah. Have you seen my video of the experience on YouTube?

I shot my favorite picture of the Wonder while parasailing also.
