Will some of you remind me if you are Sunshine Rewards members? I know that I should know those of you that are, but some of the similar screen names start running together in my head. I have some cute little SR/Disney giveaway items to bring with me on the cruise and want to know how many I need.

I've never even heard of Sunshine Rewards :confused3

And may I ask....how would you know who the members are just by seeing the screen names????

Walt is sleeping while I got caught up on the thread. We left New Hampshire on Saturday morning. My mother was admitted to hospital on Friday night. She was diagnosed diverticulitis. (sp) Remember she already has problems with kidneys, diabetes, blood pressure, leg swollens etc. So my dad and I went back and forth to hospital on Saturday and Sunday and Monday. Well today we were suppose to leave early and my father called and said my mother was moved to the cardiac unit. She was having chest pains. So off we went at 8 am back to hospital. Spent all am there getting doctor and nurse reports. We went to lunch with Dad and sister then decided to leave. I felt very sad but I knew I could not do anything else. My mother was doing better. Her heart rhythm was back to normal and she was eating a soft diet. My sisters told me they would keep me updated. My brothers are not around. One in New Hampshire, other one in Maryland and my other one is teaching in Italy. My sisters take great care of my mom and dad. Walt and I left Massachusetts at 315 pm and arrived in Utica, New York at 815 pm. It was a short ride. Just a few rain drops mostly sunny and warm. First sun in three weeks. I talked to my mother, brother, sister and father and they say she is doing better and she will have a echo gram tomorrow to make sure everything is okay and to show the doctor what she may need to change. (her meds) Wow this has been a stressful day for me. I need to go to bed. We are getting up early tomorrow and leaving for Niagara Falls. This is the place I asked to go to while we were on our adventure. Hope the weather stays nice. Sorry I wrote so much but I just wanted you all to know what Walt and I have been doing the last few days. Can't wait till the weekend. We will be seeing our bestest friends in the whole wide world. Di

You'll be in my prayers, Di

We've been dealing with something similar ourselves... Laura's grandmother is not doing well, so Laura has been checking home twice a day to see how she's doing.

I'm sorry to hear about your families' ill health. Here's some pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:
for both of you!!!

That's a nice article, Chris. Laura's Grandmother was very active with the local Salvation Army.

I completely missed your involvement with extreme makeover. What's going on again?
Not a whole lot this time. Several months ago, I was heavily involved with a build about 15 minutes from us. This one is about an hour away and I just did one 6 hours shift last evening.

Sounds like an interesting and fun volunteer job.

:grouphug:For the entire family Di.:grouphug:

I'm never one to blow my own trumpet, but here is a Q & A with me in today's local newspaper.

Q&A with CaptChris

Great article Chris. I have to say I understand a little better what you do now. :woohoo:

Tell us about the family being featured Chris. Do you know anything about them yet?

I thought I was missing something. I never heard of Sunshine Rewards either. Does it have something to do with the Radisson?

I'm all confruzzled too. :confused3

Can you be my buddy too?! I definitely need help. I have MINUS willpower. I also work nights, so I struggled when I joined last year. Plus, I had trouble getting to the meetings. I did WW and NutraSystem...several times! I have lost weight....but it found me again and brought friends!

Anyway, I am like you... I KNOW what I SHOULD be doing, I just need to do it.

I think some of those friends made it to my hips and thighs! :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

I want to be a WW buddy too. I have been exercising but my lumps are hanging on and not letting go.:scared1:

Hey BoBers - we are staying at the Radisson the night before the cruise and are booked on the 10:30 shuttle over to the port. However, I have heard LOTS of horror stories about the shutle getting there late.

Has anyone ever taken a taxi or rented a limo (not a fancy one... just a "car service") to take them to the boat?

THoughts and opinions would be appreciated.

SIgneing off for the night - really tired!

We are staying at the Radisson the night before too. I am looking forward to meeting you in person. Less that 4 months!!! :banana:We are driving so we are going to park at the port.

Thanks! Its a complicated life at times!

I heard that it is a very large family due to family raising extended family having issues. I believe the father is a lifetime member of the national guard as well, and has made multiple trips to Iraq. I was having difficulty understanding a neighbor who was talking to us last night telling us the story. He was very soft spoken and mumbled a lot.

Today is my boss' last day :sad1: She is SOOOOO awesome, but she is moving to NYC and has a job with the NBA!

Kind of nervous about getting new boss, but just found out that one of my co-workers was promoted and she's going to be my boss. SOOOOOOO happy!!!!! (I didn't want my boss' job)

Great day all around!

Beautiful weather her in Central VA as well - come on down and soak up the sun (no humidity!!)
