I did it.... I joined Weight watchers
Day 1 of "losing weight for the cruise"
I already know exactly what I SHOULD be doing,.... but now I'll have someone gasping in horror each week when I step on the scales might make me try a bit harder.
Wish me luck peeps - I'll really need your help... I have zero willpower![]()
Walt is sleeping while I got caught up on the thread. We left New Hampshire on Saturday morning. My mother was admitted to hospital on Friday night. She was diagnosed diverticulitis. (sp) Remember she already has problems with kidneys, diabetes, blood pressure, leg swollens etc. So my dad and I went back and forth to hospital on Saturday and Sunday and Monday. Well today we were suppose to leave early and my father called and said my mother was moved to the cardiac unit. She was having chest pains. So off we went at 8 am back to hospital. Spent all am there getting doctor and nurse reports. We went to lunch with Dad and sister then decided to leave. I felt very sad but I knew I could not do anything else. My mother was doing better. Her heart rhythm was back to normal and she was eating a soft diet. My sisters told me they would keep me updated. My brothers are not around. One in New Hampshire, other one in Maryland and my other one is teaching in Italy. My sisters take great care of my mom and dad. Walt and I left Massachusetts at 315 pm and arrived in Utica, New York at 815 pm. It was a short ride. Just a few rain drops mostly sunny and warm. First sun in three weeks. I talked to my mother, brother, sister and father and they say she is doing better and she will have a echo gram tomorrow to make sure everything is okay and to show the doctor what she may need to change. (her meds) Wow this has been a stressful day for me. I need to go to bed. We are getting up early tomorrow and leaving for Niagara Falls. This is the place I asked to go to while we were on our adventure. Hope the weather stays nice. Sorry I wrote so much but I just wanted you all to know what Walt and I have been doing the last few days. Can't wait till the weekend. We will be seeing our bestest friends in the whole wide world. Can you be my buddy too?! I definitely need help. I have MINUS willpower. I also work nights, so I struggled when I joined last year. Plus, I had trouble getting to the meetings. I did WW and NutraSystem...several times! I have lost weight....but it found me again and brought friends!
Anyway, I am like you... I KNOW what I SHOULD be doing, I just need to do it.
Well, I guess I'm a bit guilty of comparing myself to others. I can't believe the number of children that I see that can do the the things my children struggle with.
Add me to the Weight Watchers group. Although I haven't done well since Friday. I SHOULD lose about 25 pounds before the cruise. But honestly I would be really happy if I could even lose 15. It doesn't seem like it should be that much, but oh, how I struggle!!!
Will some of you remind me if you are Sunshine Rewards members? I know that I should know those of you that are, but some of the similar screen names start running together in my head. I have some cute little SR/Disney giveaway items to bring with me on the cruise and want to know how many I need. QUOTE]
Welcome to the Weight watcher losers
I've not heard of sunshine rewards? - what is it?
Good Luck Karen You are part of my weight Watcher team. We can be partners. Any questions I will be glad to help you. Welcome!!!!
Di, you and Heather are real role models for the rest of us.
I've started my day with a actimel drink (probiotic yoghurt drink for my stomach) and a mushroom omelette with 2 tablespoons of baked beans. 4 1/2 points, but should fill me up til lunch, which will be a cupasoup and fruit.

Check out the CC pictures from our cruise. I had met Ellen on the member cruise last year, she has a really nice camera. The ones with the clouds are amazing, and yes they came in that fast!!

Jay still can't tie his shoes either! I have tried, but he must be like me. I was never good at tieing knots and those kinds of things.Funny you should say that... I'd tried to get Stu to learn how to tie his shoes on more than a couple of occasions, without much luck. Imagine my horror when I realized, last time we were shoe shopping, that they stop making Velcro shoes at about size 1. Now every conversation on the subject starts out, "Well, you'd better learn soon...".
