Good evening everyone...been a quiet few hours on the thread. Anyone out there???:wave2: :wave2:

Working on my Income Taxes, but the Turbo Tax site must be EXTREMELY busy tonight.........:rolleyes2 ::yes:: :rolleyes2

I used to buy Turbo Tax every year until I found out about the free tax preparation online! I've used both EZTaxreturn.com and last and this year
Taxactonline.com.
This year IRS is offereing free online filing. Just go to their website and they'll tell you all the details and help you find the best tax site for you to use.
Grossing under a certain amount you can use certain sites and get free filing for IRS, but state will cost a fee.

I paid nothing to use the tax program, nothing to file Federal online and $13.95 to file my state online.

Saves all that money I used to pay for Turbotax (As long as your tax situations aren't too complicated).

Check them out!:surfweb:

Already paid for Turbo Tax, I'm just trying to print off my forms, but I keep getting kicked off the site.........very frustrating.....never had this problem before, but then again, I usually do my taxes very early on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

Who's messing with the pancake sisters?

This is a few weeks ago at Julia's cheer competition. They got 3rd place. They were just excited about the ribbon and trophy.:thumbsup2

They are sooooo cute. Congratulations Julia:cheer2:
We (The UK) are never prepared for it... we're not used to it, so England just grinds to a halt if we get more than 3 inches:lmao:

Every school in the West Midlands (our county) is off tomorrow, so no school for me or Ellis:cheer2:

Its now about 6-8 inches and more is forecast. We are off out with some of the Neighbours tomorrow to our local park where there is a BIG slope for sledging... I'll be sat in the car drinking hot chocolate;)
That is so funny how someplaces shut down with a small amount of snow. We are so used to snow, 3 inches doesn't seem like much.
Cass is helping me to use photbucket.. so hopefully by wed i can post some pics ..finally.. I even have some hat ones :thumbsup2

Our trip to WDW in 2005 was a free one that my mother in law won through Creative Memories contest so it was very awsome. She took her 2 kids and I along.. unfortunatly we did not have the money for my kids to join us and we were shunned by them for a little bit (hehe) but it was a gift and how can you say no??...lol anyways it included airfare/medium hotel stay/ car rental/ $500 spending money! It was amazing.. I felt very fortunate to have been part of it :goodvibes

Great for you.

That's it, I'm done, I can finish with Turbo Tax tomorrow, the site crashed and I can't get back in..........:crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

I'm going to bed, good night all.........:wave2:

Well, we had a bit of a scare tonight...

Just got back from spending the evening at the Emergency Room with Kira. Rob gave her a muffin from Tim Hortons (coffee place) and she had a severe allergic reaction. One side of her face was all swollen. By the time we got to the hospital, her eye was starting to swell up a little and she had welts all over her body.

They gave her some Benilyn and a prescription for an epi-pen. The swelling started to come down on it's own after about 2 hours but the welts were still there when we left. We have to follow up with her family doctor and just monitor her.

We're not 100% sure it was the muffin but it was the last thing she ate just before she reacted. I am calling Tim Horton's in the morning and getting the ingredients of that muffin just so we know. The doctor said that it was most likely some type of nut.

She's never had any type of reaction before and she's had strawberries and raspberries and peanuts and other typical reactive foods.

Karen, we were so worried and helpless, I don't know how you deal with this every day. :worship: :worship: :worship: Kudos to you for braving what you have to every day :flower3:

:grouphug: for Kira. How scary. I hope she wasn't too miserable last night with the welts. Hopefully you will find out what it was and be able to avoid that food.

Oh Cass, how scary for all of you. Best of luck finding out what caused the reaction.

Good Morning from Sn*wy New Jersey........

Oh no! - the poor little thing:grouphug: - at least you've found out early...get her allergy tested to find out the trigger and then deal with the fact that for the rest of your life you will ALWAYS be reading food labels:grouphug:

It would either have been something in the muffin or something off of the table you were sat at. Ellis has had reactions from just sitting at a table in a restaurant before we've even ordered:rolleyes: .

Was she sick? have the hives gone down now on her body? Ellis' eye takes 2-3 days before its back to normal so dont panic if its still swollen.

When you see your G.P. make sure you get at least 2 epipens - one may not be enough in some cases. We have 2 at home, 2 in his medi-bag, 2 at school. They only last 1 year so get ones with long expiry dates on them or you'll be forever at the pharmacy:rolleyes:

If you have questions just fire away and I'll try to help take away your worries. You'll get used to it:grouphug: .

The final triggers could either have been the chemical they cleaned the table with, or something you ate if you kissed her afterwards, so think what you had too.

When you get a reaction its pretty quick - usually within 20 mins if not muh quicker - (with Ellis its almost instant) so you can eliminate anything before 30 mins.

Big hugs to you all. Its real scarey to start with but you'll get used to it. You're handbags will now need to get bigger though to carry her medi-bag:goodvibes

Well folks, the sun is shining, it snowed another couple of inches overnight, all the neighbours are heading to the park at 11am to sledge so I need to make flasks of hot chocolate and get the bikkies ready.:goodvibes (AND MY CAMERA OF COURSE:lmao: )

I'll take the waterproof one just incase I get snowballed mid shot:rotfl2:

Have a great day folks:goodvibes

Good Morning All! Cass, I know that had to scare you so much. I am so allergic to so many things and have been all my life - it is a pain but then it gets just plain funny. When things settle from this and you know what is going on, just be thankful it wasn't something far worse. And of course, you are blessed you were close enough to medical care for her while it happened.

Everyone have a super day! I am off to work - late again.
