Ok...so we're now in mid-May here and it feels like a cold rainy fall or winter day. I can't help but dream about our cruise while looking out of my office window at this dreary Pennsylvania day. Ahhh...sandy beaches and palm trees... Perhaps a stroll around the deck with those warm Caribbean breezes blowing gently in my face. Maybe a dip in the crystal clear blue waters while watching those tropical fish swim around the coral. I can't wait. I really can't wait! I’m looking forward to simply sitting out on my veranda and watching the ocean go by. Or…since today is Wednesday…following my DW through the many shops I’m sure we’ll be visiting in St. Thomas. What would you be doing right now if we were underway this week? I’m just curious…

As you may have noticed, I have posted a poll regarding the FE exchange. As best as I can tell there are approximately 18 "groups" who have indicated that they wish to participate. Please check the second post on page 1 to see if you are, first on the list, and second to see if it indicates weather you wish to participate. If you do and it isn't indicated, please let me know.

Well, Tim, as I am already surrounded by palm trees and beaches here in beautiful, sunny California, with its clear blue sky, I can only imagine how dreary it must be there.

But, to have the warm Caribbean breeze on my face as I sit out on our verendah, ahhh that just sounds like heaven to me. If we were underway and in St. Thomas right now, I would probably be with you and your lovely wife shopping as my DH will be SCUBA diving . I can't wait either. It just can't seem to get here fast enough, does it?

Hey, Brenda! We are on the list in post 2 and we are also included in the FE group. I am excited about this as most of my family have no idea that this is happening and that they will be a part of it. LOL My sister in South Africa made FEs for the families who don't already have one, and she has some neat SA stuff for fillers. I have stuff for most of my other families to give out except the ones from Mexico. I am hoping they will bring something little and cool from there.

This is just taking waaaayyyy too long to get here! We booked airfare for the family coming from Mexico and got a GREAT rate, even if it did take us 3 hours and not show up until after midnight on Monday/Tuesday. Just a heads up for those still looking for airfare: my travel agent recommends looking every Tuesday morning as that is when new fares are released. I hope to reserve hotel rooms for the night before shortly. It's finally all falling into place!

We don't care how or if the FEs are divided into groups, although it might be easiest if it went by levels for the givers. On our past two cruises, there was no division -- we just did everyone who participated, but that may not be feasible on this one. Just let me know! Thank you, Brenda!

Hi, Cindi. I know what you mean by this taking way,way, way too long to get here. But it does help to be planning for the FE. My DH and I went to Michael's last night see if we could find anything our come up with ideas. I think it will work out just fine. I don't really want to start working on it until I know how many people will be in the exchange. I will keep everyone posted.

Hi, Tanya. I added you to the list yesterday with the FE included. Then today I noticed that you all were already on the list, just with the FE. So, I deleted the new one and added FE to the old one.

I here ya about the bad weather of late, we had snow this past weekend. Those warm Caribbean breezes you talk about sure do sound nice about now!!!!!!! Can't wait!!!!!!!!

Okay all you camera wiz's out there--for Mother's Day my wonderful husband bought me the Nikon D5000 that I have been longing for FOREVER! I am very excited but very much a beginner. I figure I have plenty of time to learn the camera and try different things before the cruise. I'll try not to ask TOO many questions but any helpful hints would be great! I've been lurking on the Photography board, but really much of it is above my head at this point. Is the best thing just use it and figure things out?? (And ask tons of questions!)
We're down to less than 170 days...whoo hoo!

Oh lucky. I had that in my cart the other day and chickened out pulling the trigger. I know by the cruise I'll have one though. I'd love to hear what you think of it once you play around with it a bit

OK so since I've been away for a while I have been trying to catch up, but this board has been active. So I have a couple of questions...Are we doing a meet and greet? We did this on our last cruise in OCt 08 and it was great it was around 3 I think before the muster.So a couple of drinks before the drill always a great idea..safety first you know.. We are actually flying in late Wed night and staying at Hyatt at MCO then the next morning we are taking a limo to the Radisson. Is anyone else going to be there? I would love to meet up with people before the cruise too. Everyday closer I am getting more and more excited..Bought my girls disney bathing suits and coverups yest. I realized that if I didnt do it soon all the summer stuff will be gone. They change the clothing seasons so early now. I still need to get mine and my husbands summer stuff too. Enjoy ur preparing!!

Oh yea I remembered my other question. Are we going to do t-shirts, lanyards or something for this cruise? The lanyards are good cuz you know who are the dis'ers during the entire cruise since most people wear the lanyards. Ok so that should be it..

Hi, Laura. We will be at the Hyatt Thursday and Friday, so we will miss you all there.

As for the meet and greet, we are still working on that as well as trying to plan a celebration party for Monday. We will everyone posted.
